I think the BT comment is more that it is a cut and paste rather than expressing a particular view and engaging in debate. A short precis, own opinion and link would probably be preferred but that's not obligatory. In terms of Trump's assassination attempts, I doubt anyone on here would welcome that, not only from a human point of view and an attack on democracy, it would cause so much unrest that it doesn't bear thinking about. Incidentally, you've mentioned before about backing Farage and Johnson, only to be let down and disappointed. What makes you so sure Trump won't make it a hat trick? Four years previously of holding office. A point missed by many anti Trumpers. They seem to be attacking him with the same illogical hate filled mindset as in 2016. I've addressed before why I feel those years laid the foundations for many of the issues we face today, a US withdrawn from, or showing half hearted attention to, international affairs never helps.

Here is an easy one for Ice. During his previous stint in the White House Trump loaded the government debt by an astonishing $8 Trillion..... Is that the record you boast of?

Asians with an aneurism? If Biden had said this, there would be calls for his cognitive test results and accusations of early onset dementia. On this very thread iirc.

I know you worry greatly about the state of Oldie's health, so to save his blood pressure levels rising, what is the point of that seemingly random selection of news snippets? We can all read the news. Unless you've chosen certain ones for certain reasons? I have no idea of course. In defence of Bluetornados, this is a thread about the upcoming US election, the most important one in history by far, which will effect global security like never before, thats if it goes wrong of course. He posted something very relevant about a possible 3rd, assassination attempt...which sadly won't be the last time someone trys to kill Donald Trump before November,or if he wins. The first two have been swiftly forgotten by some..including on here.So while I agree we all follow the news so are aware of events, blue is posting to encourage discussion about it, I guess. Maybe some on here want an attempt to succeed given the delusional and hateful language, along with thinking that come from some on here towards the former president. 🫤 Just where does it say that this was an assassination attempt, a person was found to have a gun and fake paperwork ,plus whatever on their person, I expect if the Police searched all those attending, they would have found countless guns, doesn't mean they are potential assasins

While I agree to your point in theory, does but doesn't that apply to what Trump took over from Obama? And Obama from Bush? And Bush from Clinton? Etc... The seeds for today were planted along time ago, well before Trump. I find it concerning that dispute it being fact that Trump kept the world safe and as peaceful as it had been for generations, he is given no credit for it at all as he is Trump. The deep hatred and blindness towards this man is concerning and is why people are looking to kill him.

Imagine this scenario, Putin retains land in Ukraine as part of a peace deal, has sanctions lifted and able to rebuild his forces. Trump drawsdown from Europe and infers at best that he wouldn't directly get involved in Nato, what stops Putin from annexing parts of the Baltics states? Trump withdraws direct involvement in China's interests in Taiwan, lack of intervention in Europe emboldened Xi to invade. Overt support for Isreal allows Netanyahu to continue unopposed, possibly even attacking Iran and drawing in others within the region. Are those really implausible? Within a few years, the US faces war on two or more fronts. All that because Trump does nothing.

Poland will prevent further encroachment but not to stop taking parts of the Baltics in the first place. Hopefully the forward deployed forces will be enough of a tripwire he wont test, but you can't rule it out. Besides, if Nato isn't united like it is at the moment then he'll use salami tactics. Xi only has to push things, without active US involvement one day that door will open. Wrt Iran, I'm talking about serious escalation such as attacking Iranian sites as mooted recently. Isreal has every right to defend itself, getting the green light from Trump is not the same as tacit approval or disapproval. Ice said Trump prevents war, not for me.

You are talking about hypothetical situations. We had Trump for four years and nothing. Its boring keep saying it but it's the truth. I believe Israel are going to heavily attack Iran in the next month before the election, in a way that we have never seen before..as they have said they will, and normally they follow through! I dint think Trump,Biden or Harris will stop that.

People seem to think that a Harris govt would be less isolationist than a Trump govt, but I doubt that Harris would want to get involved in a foreign war, they might supply friendly countries with arms and they might do some bombing but I dont think that they will send ground forces anywhere. I can see that nutter in North Korea starting a shooting war with South Korea and firing missiles at Japan, IF that happened its WW3, Russia,Iran already at war, once the fighting starts China might get involved, but what will India do ? I think that Trump would go anywhere and talk to any World leader to try and stop a war,Biden cant,he is too far gone and nobody would take him seriously,Netanyahu would ignore him and I cant see the North Koreans or the Chinese or Russia taking Harris seriously. I could see Trump saying that US influence finishes at Midway in the Pacific and at the Azores, they dont seem to want to get involved in Africa but Russia and China do because they want various raw materials, I dont see why the US would want to get involved in Europe any more.
