On the Harris question. Who would you prefer A lady who was 1) District Attorney for San Francisco 2) Attorney General for California 3) A United States Senator. Or Trump Who 1) Lies through his teeth 2) Last week defined jobs by skin colour 3) Is a convicted felon 4) Has multiple bankruptcies in his past leaving countless creditors out of pocket. I mean really. Trump. And the moon is made of cheese šš

OK, let's not go any further on this as it's painfully obvious that you will support any Democrat as evidenced by your defence of Biden over the last couple of years when it was painfully obvious to anyone with any sense that he was ill and shouldn't be allowed to carry on. Harris has been described in the US media as 'the most unpopular VP in modern times'. She was the first to pull out of the Democratic Presidential Nomination race as she didn't even get 1% of her own parties support! You appear blinkered in your views, so you'll find yourself going down that same alley as you did with your defence of Biden. Newsweek"He said: "To realize just how unpopular Kamala Harris is, you have to keep in mind the historical significance of it all. No one in her position has had this low of favorabilities in a first term since Dan Quayle. That's saying something. So it's no surprise, especially with Biden's age, that Republicans keep hammering home a simple point: a vote for Biden is a vote for Harris. "While it's usually the top of the ticket that drives voting, and that will be true again in 2024, Harris' abysmal popularity will matter on the margins. And with next year's election poised to be close, those margins could end up being a difference-maker." " I don't care to much what the US media says, unless they are quoting evidence

His decline started before the last election which is why he was hidden away so much by his handlers during that campaign. His decline has accelerated in the last 18 months which is blindingly obvious to everyone.

In the video I linked his lucidity and connection was in stark contrast to that terrible "debate" last week. Something has happened and he should step down for the sake of the country. I doubt Trump will be stopped in any event now and the slide into autocracy will be complete, the current corruption of the Supreme Court being an example.

It's been pretty clear from the overwhelming evidence of videos and listening to him speak that there has been a problem with his health for a long time.

Then there is Donald Trump, the āorange Jesusā of Americaās radical right. Trump might not know any Bible verses, but he does know how to stoke religious fervor to unite his base. And for Trumpās supporters, no claim is too bizarre. In 2021, for example, hundreds of Trump-loving conspiracy theorists gathered in Dallas, Texas, for the second coming. Leaders who claim to have divine missions are leaders who seek to increase their power and extend their rule, ideally indefinitely. Putin has already achieved that goal, and Modi and ErdoÄan have been marching in the same direction. But Trump might represent the gravest danger. One cannot ignore the possibility that, if he wins the presidency in November, the US will not hold an election in 2028. www.project-syndicate.org/commentary/putin-trump-modi-erdogan-use-religion-to-boost-their-personal-power-by-nina-l-khrushcheva-2024-06

The absurd claim that Trump may not hold an election in 2028. It's an opinion of the danger of electing Trump. Written by a a Professor at the New School Uni in New York. What's your basis for calling it "absurd"? Look at the corruption of the Supreme Court, a pillar of the Constitution now weakened after Trump's appointees.

You have to wonder why his wife is not putting a stop to his campaign, isnt she a Doctor ?

Joe Biden 'staying in the race' - White House hits back at speculation..by Caitlin Wilson and Brandon Livesayichef.bbci.co.uk/ace/standard/1024/cpsprodpb/05f8/live/677acf00-3960-11ef-bdc5-41d7421c2adf.jpgUS President Joe Biden is meeting Vice-President Kamala Harris and other key allies, including a group of Democratic governors, as he faces mounting questions over whether he should continue his re-election bid His campaign has pushed back against a New York Times report which said Biden had told a close ally his re-election effort was in danger, with a White House spokesperson calling it "absolutely false" Biden, 81, performed poorly in a debate with his Republican rival Donald Trump, 78, last week, and pressure has intensified in the days since with damaging polling fuelling Democratic concerns about his candidacy A new poll by CBS News on Wednesday found the election race had shifted in Trump's favour following the debate, including in crucial battleground states Biden has for days insisted he will keep fighting until November's vote, saying he believes with his "heart and soul" that he could serve another term in office. ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/800/cpsprodpb/vivo/live/images/2024/7/3/1a0eaea3-30a9-438e-982e-02dfeebd0adc.jpg

Hummm After the last debate there were long discussions and commentators who were actually in the room and not having their opinions informed by YouTube videos referred to the debates at the last election where public opinion was that Biden trounced Trump in the debates, and they made the comparison.
