Trump defends 'great' debate performanceDonald Trump had just phoned into Fox News to defend his performance in last night's debate. "I think we did great," he said. The Republican nominee went on to attack the ABC moderators who presided over the debate and fact checked multiple claims, which he said amounted to a "three-on-one". "When you look at the fact they were correcting everything and not correcting with her," he said. Trump then falsely claimed "every single poll last night had me winning like 90-10". 63% of registered voters said Harris was the better performer while 37% went with Trump, according to a CNN/SSR poll, external of 600 voters conducted after the debate. I didn't get home to until 3am from work, so watched the first half of it, then fell to sleep. I will watch the rest later on. From what I saw... ABC was terrible, again - Trump, “ask her about what month abortions should be limited to, 7, 8, 9”? ABC, “moving on”… .... Harris was clearly wearing earphones. She lied and moderators ignored it...Trump kept having to correct her on her lies. For anyone who watched it, it was obvious that she had the questions in advance and the moderators were actually debating Trump so it was 3 v 1. Trump let himself be taken on tangents about stuff like eating animals and rally attendance ( the latter Which is ridiculous) . Harris misrepresented (eg on the economy) and lied repeatedly. Trump wasn’t at his best but won it on substance. She tried to get Trump to get angry and react for clipbait, but he never had kept calm.. ABCs own polling days Trump won by 93%. The only way she beats Trump is on abortion. She makes me feel nauseous by how fake and phony she is. Trump maybe somethings, but he believes what he says and is genuine. Do you have a link for the 93%? Fake and nauseous!! So what does that make Trump 🤬🤢.. surprised you could get to sleep 💤

He made a fool of himself and a very large audience watched him do it. Ill prepared he went off what script he had and started talking about people eating other people's pet cats and dogs. Yes really. I wish she had gone for the throat, but she didn't. I just hope her copying Starmer's "Ming Vase" strategy works and we can get rid of this clown forever. But I fear not. Such is the sad state of American politics

I saw this screenshot shot just a moment ago. I can't remember if this was it. x.com/NewDrewAnon/status/1833719673667350974?t=ABKZMqjjV72zD4YQXHopdw&s=19

Such is the sad state of American politics What stuff? I watched and it's my opinion, just like you have yours. Trump kept calm, was in control and rattled her a number of times. She tried to annoy him into a reaction which she failed to do. His comment's about waking Biden up and going to the White House could have won the election there. 👋 And when he said that Biden got 14 million votes and she got none, and that The president hates her was classic...😂 Her face was about to go full blown Karen at that point.🤣 To give the devil her due, I actually thought she did better than I expected and handed Trump better than Hillary did.

Polls I've seen say Harris won roughly 66% to 33%. EDIT: Just seen BT's link above, that's the one.

It is, I find, amazing some will see and hear what they want to rather than what is right in front of them. Like I said, I just hope that the majority of Americans are repulsed by Trump, as they were in 2016 and 2020 and that will be enough to carry individual State required to translate that popular vote to the presidents for Harris.

Oldie, it's been done a million times before so I'm not looking to open that can of worms here as it just leads to arguments etc. By what did he say that was racist last night? Please remember, I've yet to watch the last 30mins.

My biggest gripe is the online ‘analysis’ after the debate.
Trump is not a great debater. Debating is 75% gift of the gab, 25% spitting facts. He’s got the gift in one sense, but debating requires a refined technique which he doesn’t possess.
100% Kamala had an aid. She’s a politician…regurgitating short rebuttals without any belief or passion. She did that better than expected.
Trump missed some kill shots regarding abortion. Kamala stating the government shouldn’t interfere in telling people what to do with their bodies. True, but what about vaccine mandates you tried to make compulsory? That accompanied with ‘limits on abortion’ to maintain humane, morale standards would have put her in her place.
Yes, the moderators were awful, but people analysing the debate on issues that mean f**k all to the voter watching is naive. People are starting to vote based on tribal issues, voting with emotion not facts.
Trump didn’t lose last night, and Kamala would not have swayed the vote of the crucial independent / undecided voter, so the needles hasn’t moved. With Taylor Swift (by design) endorsing Kamala directly after the event it tells me they’ve put all their eggs in one basket last night, and there’s still just under two months to go.
That’s a long time. If voters are not swayed by the attempted assassination of a candidate a few months ago, then yesterdays debate will barely register within two months. October will be crucial.

Trump and Harris attend same 9/11 memorial after fierce debate..by Phil McCauslandichef.bbci.co.uk/ace/standard/1024/cpsprodpb/acbe/live/797aa8e0-7049-11ef-b02d-c5f3b724a1ea.jpgAt the 9/11 memorial in Manhattan, Americans who lost family members on 11 September 2001 are currently reading out the names of victims and memorialising them. Both 2024 presidential candidates are attending the event this year. Cameras picked up Kamala Harris walking up to Donald Trump and, as she did in the debate, offering to shake his hand. Her opponent accepted. Attendees are standing through the event as a sign of respect. Harris is separated from Trump by two people - President Joe Biden and former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg. Also seen at the event are Trump's running mate JD Vance; Democrats Chuck Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand, who represent New York in the US Senate; New York Governor Kathy Hochul; and, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, a Trump ally.

I am beyond disbelief that anyone could watch the dog eater clown yesterday and think he is in any way fit to lead the 'free world'.
In fact I have my doubts about whether those defending him are being honest with us and more importantly themselves.

The view from America "Wednesday, September 11, 2024 “Even as Trump exploded, he was, like a dying supernova, shrinking before our eyes,” Peter Wehner writes. Last night in Philadelphia, Kamala Harris did to Donald Trump what Donald Trump had done to Joe Biden: She broke her opponent on a debate stage. I’ve been watching presidential debates since 1976, and I’ve even been peripherally involved in a few. And I’ve never seen a candidate execute a debate strategy as well as Harris did. The night, for Harris supporters, went better than even the most optimistic among them could have hoped. For Trump supporters, it was not just a defeat but a public humiliation, the crushing comeuppance they probably secretly feared might one day arrive but, until now, never quite had." Quite. Full article here (sorry BT, no pictures🤭) www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2024/09/kamala-harris-broke-donald-trump/679780/
