Listened to Farage on Radio 4 being "interviewed" by the hideous Mishal Husain, she tried to talk over his answers and repeatedly interrupted him,of course he carried on an gave a good account of himself but wheres the impartiality ?...I notice that labour people being interviewed get an easy ride.
One of the best things about listening to Farage on the radio is that you know that lefty/liberals AND tories are choking with anger whilst he talks, they should watch out most heart attacks happen early in the morning.

One thing is noticable and that is nobody is using the "Brexit" word. It's something that both the main failed parties are willing to mention. Starmer has said him & his team have been speaking to the eu , lammy said it a while ago when he was doing lbc radio show , we are talking to the eu about closer cooperation But they have both reiterated that they have red lines , no rejoining of the s/m or c/u . Which is why the eu have said no if you want closer Tyes you will have to follow our rules I don’t believe he will attempt to rejoin the eu immediately, but if he gets a 2 nd / 3 rd term I’ve no doubt he will start to push to rejoin , a leopard doesn’t change its spots

Never took you as the sensitive type. Interesting that taking the p*SS out of Farage is offensive but Ltd comments about me personally last night are not...emmm No Oldie, I am not the 'sensitive type', but I do try to adhere to the basics regarding decency. It’s already (eu ) going right wing , anti immigration so wouldn’t be a end of the world if we rejoined in 10 yrs , and I’ll be retired by then so easier to retire to Spain 😂😂 Seriously , I think it’s like all these voting for labour , milk & honey ) , they all think it will be the same if we rejoined the eu ( milk & honey ) , ignoring the huge problem in the eu

He's asked about his party's pledge to freeze non-essential immigration - so what counts as non-essential immigration, he's asked. He says the Conservatives have consistently pledged to reduce immigration but have not done so, adding: "We simply as a country cannot go on with an exploding population the way that it is." Pressed again on what counts as non-essential immigration, he says "unskilled labour", adding he does think care workers are skilled, but when pressed for an example he says "physical, manual labour". Asked about construction workers he says "we literally don't need any". ichef.bbci.co.uk/live-experience/cps/624/cpsprodpb/vivo/live/images/2024/6/4/a764aa76-09b7-459d-b3ef-ecf9b763704c.jpg Farage is now asked about those currently eligible for skilled worker visas, which include kindergarden and primary school teachers, paramedics and veterinarians - could they continue to come in? Farage says yes, but in limited numbers as there is now a "total abuse of system". He says that coming to the UK on a work visa is different than coming in, being allowed to stay and bringing dependents. Pushed further on the skilled occupation that the country needs, he says repeats that numbers would be limited. He says if shortages occur, it would push wages up and encourage people to learn skills, "rather than heading off to university and doing social sciences". Asked about total net migration - the difference between people leaving and arriving in the UK each year - he says zero would be his target. He says that considering the number of people leaving the UK on a yearly basis, there would still be room for 600,000 people coming to the UK, which is "plenty" for the labour market. Asked about Reform UK's policy that asylum seekers should have their claims processed in British overseas territories, Farage says he's not exactly sure about the policy, which is detailed on his party's website. I've taken over yesterday, he says, "Give me more than 12 hours and sort a few things out." Farage says the UK should deport people who come to the UK illegally and says this is something that used to happen. He also says that one of the main things that the UK should do is leave the European Court of Human Rights and get "genuine sovereignty". i.dailymail.co.uk/1s/2024/06/03/19/85665305-13489429-image-a-48_1717440601289.jpgHe's challenged over previous comments he's made, suggesting that a growing number of Muslims do not subscribe to British values. He says there was "sectarian voting" in the local elections, and later says if a large portion of "young British Muslims support in any way Hamas, jihad or any of these concepts we have a very, very real problem". The interview moves on, and Farage says: "If people come to our country, don't speak our language, don't integrate in the community, then we have cities and towns that become literally unrecognisable." Challenged for an example, he says: "I could take you to streets in Oldham right now where no-one speaks English." It's put to him that people could speak more than one language, and he's asked if his children speak more than one language, but Farage says he won't comment on his own children and "it's pretty poor form" for others to do so. Asked whether his is aim to change the Conservative Party and if he would stand any Reform candidates down, Farage says "under no circumstances whatsoever" would he do that. He says they were betrayed by the Tories, to whom he says he gave "considerable help", that they are "well past their sell-by date" and that their "brand is ruined". "They've lost the election already and I am trying to is trying to establish a voice of opposition to what is going to be a Labour government that otherwise might be out of control," Farage says.

Lib Dems pledge free personal care for adults..by Jennifer McKiernan, Political reporter, BBC News.i2-prod.mirror.co.uk/incoming/article30576419.ece/ALTERNATES/s1200d/2_Senior-Man-With-Hands-On-Walking-Frame-With-Care-Worker.jpgThe Liberal Democrats say free personal care would be offered to older or disabled people at home, if they were the government. Leader Sir Ed Davey says this pledge, plus raising care workers' pay, would end the hospital crisis and help people stay in their own homes. Plans would be funded by reversing tax cuts given to big banks by the Conservatives, he said, covering the estimated £2.7bn cost by 2028-29. The numbers are still being assessed, but independent experts suggest the potential costs of this policy are likely to be higher. i2-prod.mirror.co.uk/incoming/article31001543.ece/ALTERNATES/s1200d/1_Ed-Davey-Liberal-Democrat-Leader.jpgThe party wants to tackle the huge shortage of care workers by introducing a carer's minimum wage, at a rate £2 above the standard minimum wage, and creating a Royal College of Care Workers comparable to the Royal Colleges of Nursing and Midwives. Mr Davey, who is a carer for his disabled son and also cared for his sick mother when he was young, said the issue was "deeply personal". He said it was why he was putting the issue "at the heart of the Liberal Democrat offer" to help people live "independently and with dignity", in their own homes wherever possible. “Far too often, family carers are being left to pick up the pieces because the care system simply isn’t there for them," he said. "Millions of people are going without the care they need, while thousands are stuck in hospital beds instead of being cared for in their own home or a care home. “We cannot fix the crisis facing the NHS without fixing the crisis facing social care." i2-prod.mirror.co.uk/incoming/article30253766.ece/ALTERNATES/s1200e/1_Mid-Bedfordshire-by-election.jpgCurrently only those with an income and assets under £23,250 get help with the costs of care at home or in residential and nursing homes in England – the least generous system in the UK. Adult social care charging reforms - including an £86,000 cap on the amount anyone in England has to spend on their personal care over their lifetime - had been due to be implemented by the Conservative government from October 2023 but were delayed by two years. The Lib Dems would introduce free personal care – a similar system to the one that operates in Scotland. It would cover costs like nursing care and daily support, including hygiene and medication, for older and disabled people with high needs. Those needing residential care would still have to contribute towards their accommodation. The party claims this will ease NHS pressures, picking up issues earlier and freeing up 12,700 hospital beds currently taken up by patients who could be discharged. They also say it would save the NHS up to £3bn through reduced pressure on hospitals and other NHS services.

Where was the Postal Minister, why did he do NOTHING to help these people? There were suicides. Lives were destroyed. Innocent people were sent to prison. The Postal Minister complicit with the biggest failing in British legal history was... ED DAVEY. Careful with that vote now.
