Well...seems like you've been waiting to get that lecture off your chest....and does your last paragraph include .Tony Blair ( sir...I forgot ) for his alleged war crimes carried out in Iraq under his leadership, along with another American presidential muppet. Didnt Blair also bomb Serbia and Libya ? I remember Blair looking most uncomfortable when asked if he used to kneel and pray with Bush. The problem with politicians is the same problem in most of life in that the people who put themselves forward to run anything are usually the people least qualified or suited to do it.... "Didnt Blair also bomb Libya?" No, he was accused of the opposite, of "cozying" up to Gaddafi. As a result Gaddafi gave up his WMD which he actually had, unlike Saddam. It was Cameron who authorised the bombing, with the French. As for Serbia, it was NATO that jumped in to stop the Nationalist lunatics in Serbia from committing further atrocities against ethnic Albanians. Those Serbian leaders were subsequently prosecuted by the ICJ in the Hague and found guilty. But hey, why let facts get in the way of fatuous Stories.

Checked this out and Blair was PM in 1999,he was Clintons poodle in those days and went along with bombing Serbia,he seemed to love getting Britain involved in wars that were nothing to do with Britain.... Libya was bombed in 1986 and 2011 so not on Blairs watch.

Just reading about Blair and in his first 6 years in office he ordered British military into action 6 times (a record apparently). I always thought the bloke was a complete sh!thouse, the sort who if you are out in a group likes to start trouble but who wouldnt say boo to a goose when he is on his own.
Perhaps it would be a good idea for anyone who wants to be Prime minister to have had to have done military service, that might make them more careful about starting wars,I am not a big fan of Churchill but at least he did some time in the trenches in WW1...mind you so did Hitler and Mussolini.

Once again, you quote no references for your assertion. So I will do it for you. 2 were against Iraq, a four day bombing campaign in 1998, alongside the Americans and then the invasion in 2003. Against the Serbs in what became Kosovo in 1999 as already discussed. Serbia was committing war crimes and it was NATO led In Sierra Leone in 2000: "As the UN mission began to fail, the United Kingdom declared its intention to intervene in the former colony and Commonwealth member in an attempt to support the severely weak government of President Ahmad Tejan Kabbah. With help from a renewed UN mandate and Guinean air support, the British Operation Palliser finally defeated the RUF, retaking control of Freetown. On 18 January 2002, President Kabbah declared the Sierra Leone Civil War over" Before that 50,000 people had been killed. Charles Taylor of Liberia had intervened on behalf of one side. He was later convicted at the ICJ for war crimes. Afghanistan 2001. In support of the Americans after 9/11. To defeat a fascist Theocracy that is the Taliban and to capture Bin Laden. Given some of the comments on Yemen on here recently it seems he would have been broadly supported.

Labour mp clearing (trying ) to clear up taxes on flyers this morning , he said Labour do not want to stop anyone having a holiday abroad , what they want is to stop is the frequent flyers ; the person who has 2/3 holidays abroad per year ( me / mrs ) he was then asked about the effect of businesses / businessmen, no real answer other than climate change is real & action has to be taken

Labour are happy for people to live their complete lives in a council house! In Germany, they find it incredible that things like council houses exist in the UK. There is no such thing in Germany. They will provide you with a flat, but they laugh at the UK for providing houses, with gardens, maybe a garage. The 'Green agenda' will one day be exposed. The UK contributes less than 1% of the world's emissions, yet the cost being imposed on the UK public is incredible. We have a limitless supply of cheap gas beneath our feet. The amount the government pay in subsidies for so say sustainable energy is ridiculous. Is their climate change? Yes there is, but there always has been. Every energy saving or emissions reduction scheme you can think of in the UK is blown away when a single volcano erupts somewhere in the world. However, climate change is the new religion, a bit like the NHS. If you say anything against either you are looked upon as some sort of evil nonentity !

Although I am not a fan of Labour I do think that there are some things that should be nationalised. Oil,electricity, gas, railways, steel.
Manufacturing should be encouraged here, the pandemic and problems since Ukraine war started should be lessons learnt.

It didn't work in the past and it will not work in the future.

It didn't work in the past and it will not work in the future. Steel is an essential for industry, now its privatised and Tata can do as they like, we will probably import steel made in India and firms here will end up getting charged more for it. The trains were late but now rail travel is so expensive that most people probably dont consider it as an option. 90% of goods probably get transported by road, fuel goes up and the price gets passed on to the customers, inflation rises and the govt cant do anything about it. When they started closing coal fired power stations new ones should already have been planned, planning to going online is about 20 years there was bound to be a problem. I wouldnt nationalise everything just essentials to stop the country being held to ransom, look at the shortages of CO2 gas, that shouldnt be allowed to happen. The problems with nationalisation have been useless governments who dont know or care how to plan for the long term good of the country, dont know because they arent practical or business people, dont care because it wont be their problem in 5 years time.

Worst bit all these lefties are lapping this lot up as the answer to all our problems , this lot are going to make lizzie truss look competent It seems as though Labour's spending plans rest on raising money from charging private schools VAT, scrapping the Non-Dom status and "growing the economy". It's the old class warfare from Labour regarding private schools. If Private schools have to shut down, where do all those pupils go? That's right, into an already over-stretched education system. The money raised from this policy will be peanuts in the overall scheme of things. Scrapping Non-Dom Status? Once again, this is a meaningless gesture. Do you think the UK is the only country in the world with Non-Dom Status? It's an Internationally recognised way to avoid double-taxation. The people with enough money that will be affected by this will find a way around it. This will not raise much money in the overall scheme of things, in fact it will probably harm the country. "Growing the economy" - Give me strength.

We have a broken health system, a fractured economy, kids being "educated" in dilapidated buildings, the farce of major capital projects such as HS2 now a laughing stock. Perhaps it's just dawned on Labour, now that they may well be on the brink of actual power, the economy does not support huge spending commitments. We, as voters, can argue how we got to this position, but here we are.

I can only believe he( starmer ) is coming up with these policy’s to please the more radical / lefties in his party , apparently Ed milaband has completely thrown his toys out the pram over the change in the green policy . The easiest thing to do would be todo nothing , the tories are winning him the election , but he’s in charge of a fractured party , on the face of it they seem united , but listen to the councillors / back benches , not labour , not in our name He’ll win the election but I don’t think he will survive long , think the momentum etc nutters are keeping there tinder dry for now , get that election win , then as one said on radio , we will mobilise to remove starmer , though his wish of Corbyn back seemed a bit of a long shot , but who knows

A bankrupt Tory Party pretending nothing is wrong and a Labour Party desperately trying to say nothing at all. Did you see the Reform Party candidate? Rupert Lowe, the nutter who was chairman of Southampton FC and sacked managers once a year. Spoiled ballot papers no doubt
