So a big week in the history of the club
Tomorrow night Matt Taylor is in charge of his first game the Bristol Street trophy tie at Crawley
On Saturday the return if fotmer manager and legend Darrell Clarke with his Cheltenham Town team. 140th anniversary with special matchday programme and exhibition of football memorabilia in the Thatchers Bar 1230 to 230pm Special guest former Rovers legend Tom Stanton member of 1974 promotion side.
The next Tuesday Taylor is in charge for his third game Fa cup tie at Crewe Alexandra with incentive of a third round tie at Norwich City for the winners on Sat 6 January which would need Cambridge United match to be postponed.
Three winnable matches for the new recruit we all wish him well.

The possibility to beat a Norwich team who nicked a very late win at a half empty 'Gate on Sunday..seen the highlights and the place quiet as per..but looked a very sparse crowd with plenty of boo hiss on the final whistle π..not a happy bunch over there π

Good luck Matt Taylor, Byron Anthony and Steve Tully. It will be interesting to see what team they send out, hopefully it will be a strong one after the recent lay off.

Doesn't matter how many unfortunates they get through the turnstiles - Trashton would still have as much atmosphere as the moon. Has any opposition manager ever commented on the atmosphere their fans generate, in the same way they so often do with us?

I can't see much of a personnel change, more like a style of play, there is a team there that can play a more open fluid game rather than the stifled stuff turned out of late

At home, no less.

Big match for Taylor to start his career at the Gas.
A strong side and a 1 0 victory like at Newport in previous round.

Taylor makes three changes tonight with Collins returning with Gibbons and Finley. Millwall Tony Craig on BBC radio Bristol duty with that screaming Yeovil fan seems like Keith Brookman not involved yet again?

Usually someone spots the " new to be" manager in the crowd before appointment, not sure if anyone has seen him previously at a Rovers game,so just wondering if he has been watching " out of sight"? And is able to select a team on what he may have seen π€

Rovers playing high and pressuring Crawley. Good to see, looking lively at the moment.

Great build up with accurate passing, Vale over the stand. Shame no end product.

Glad we are standing up to Crawley physical play. Thought the Crawley defender was trying to swap shirts with Brown there. Crawley keeper playing a blinder.
