Listening to Tony Craig reflects how much we should have kept him. He would have been a great addition to the coaching staff. Think it was one of BG's many fine decisions to release him P.S. Taylor ,Thomas and Evans all booked.

Collins and Vale made themselves worthy for substitution but have stayed on. The best player on the night Thomas injured and off, Sinclair misses sitter, Rovers static as a team. A poor nights football.

Referee listening and playing to the crowd and sending Gibbons off.
Taylor has a lot of work ahead of him after this 'performance'

Christ we are s****.
Everytime we appear to have a decent squad on paper we are just s****.
How bad is Brown. He's had about 30 good mins this season.

FT 1-2
I really don't give a fig about getting knocked out of this competition but the manner in which we were dominated by Crawley is deeply worrying.
This crop of supposed quality players have a lot to answer for in terms of their poor work rate and at times distinct lack of basic skills.
I know I only watched the second half but were were totally outclassed by a mid table League 2 team, it was an appalling performance, as bad as it gets.

Very disappointing with us looking like the League Two team in the second half. Very wasteful especially Collins, Vale and latterly Finlay. Feel sorry for the Gasheads who made the trip. Going to be interesting to see what team comes out on Saturday against Cheltenham.

Sickening to watch that second half, Rovers gave up after the equaliser, not happy.

Embarrassing defeat against Crawley reserves and next Tuesday probably a defeat in fa cup at a better league 2 side.
Who says this is our best squad ever it really is not.
116 gasheads travelled and were let down.

Who says this is our best squad ever it really is not. 116 gasheads travelled and were let down. Now that JB has left, nobody. But at the beginning of the season, too many of our fans were taken in by free transfers and loan players that papered over the cracks. Imagine this team against John Ward's gutsy, hardened and determined 1994/95 Rovers side. Marcus Stewart or Marquis? Tillson or George Friend? Ryan Woods or Justin Skinner? Doesn't bear thinking about.

Matt Taylor from his post match interview is already well aware of the weakness within our squad need to off load Sinclair and Grant and send all the loaneees back except Harvey Vale who has been good.

Sinclair is shot. Grant - not sure if he or we know his ideal position. Bogarde nice as a luxury player but we can't afford that. AC - bench for a while. The lack of pace up front is eye openly bad. I presume that comes down to the failure to get in JCH who given time will come out in the wash.

There's always a consequence as well for individuals. If you don't do what's required or demanded of your position then there's a real chance you won't play in the next game."

The worry is this is Dave Penney situation. The body language in that first team talk was poor.
In contrast to Penney the board need to give the manager full support. Dont get behind the new manager the players are out.

We can't judge Matt Taylor until he's brought in his own squad of players and sorted out the mess left by his negligent predecessor.
I've heard he's asked Field Marshal Sir Bernard Montgomery to implement a great reset behind the scenes.
That's how it works at Rovers isn't it ?

I very much hope not. Club men, not Gaffer's men, please, from now on. Back the first team manager to bring in better players, bit-by-bit, maintaining the best of his predecessor's side, and replacing the worst (or ageing) as appropriate.

Taylor gets a chance to see the players before the next window. Maybe he will tell the ones who are out of contract in the summer that they can leave now if they find another club. This is going to be another rebuild and Taylor must be given time,I was thinking the other day that Alan Dicks was at AG for 9 years before city got promotion, can anyone imagine that happening now ?
