Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe suffers thigh injury..by PA Mediai.dailymail.co.uk/1s/2024/09/25/14/90085409-13890411-image-a-26_1727270972336.jpgReal Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe faces a spell on the sidelines because of a thigh injury. The France international, who joined the Spanish club in the summer after his contract with Paris St-Germain expired, scored in a 3-2 win against Deportivo Alaves on Tuesday before being substituted after 80 minutes. Speaking after the game, Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti said: "He's fine - a little overloaded. He asked me for the change to avoid problems." In an update on Wednesday, Madrid said that "following tests" the 25-year-old "has been diagnosed with an injury to the biceps femoris in his left leg" and "his progress will be monitored". Real Madrid are away in a league match at Atletico Madrid on Sunday and then play Lille in the Champions League and Villarreal in the Spanish top flight prior to the October international break. Mbappe had scored six goals in seven games for the Bernabeu club before sustaining his injury. i.dailymail.co.uk/1s/2024/09/25/14/90085413-13890411-image-a-27_1727270976157.jpg

Kylian Mbappe has been left 'flabbergasted' by rape claims..Report by Lewis Browningi.dailymail.co.uk/1s/2024/10/16/09/90912993-13962095-image-a-4_1729067806909.jpgKylian Mbappe's lawyer has said that the reported rape and sexual harassment claim against the star has left him 'flabbergasted'. The France and Real Madrid forward - who denies the allegations - was visiting Sweden with friends from Wednesday to Friday last week, staying at the Bank Hotel in the city centre. On Monday, Mbappe blasted a report from Aftonbladet as 'fake news' about an alleged rape at the hotel that took place on Thursday evening. However, Swedish newspaper Expressen later claimed it is Mbappe who is being investigated by police after allegations were made against the Real Madrid star. Now, the 25-year-old's lawyer has hit back, insisting Mbappe is left bewildered by the accusations that he continues to strongly refute. 'We're talking about a complaint being lodged, and at this time we don't know against whom,' said Marie-Alix Canu-Bernard, speaking on French TV's TF1. 'A complaint doesn't reveal anything. i.dailymail.co.uk/1s/2024/10/16/09/90913017-13962095-image-a-7_1729067814298.jpg'Mbappe is never alone. He is never alone, so he would be exposed to a situation where he would be taking a risk. That totally rules out any wrongdoing. It's an absolute certainty. 'He's particularly serene, but he's flabbergasted by all the media hype. He has no idea what he's being accused of. If there is an investigation, he will submit to Swedish justice. But he is calm because he has nothing to reproach himself for.' Meanwhile, on Monday, Mbappe's entourage had told AFP in a statement: 'Today, a new slanderous rumour is starting to spread across the web from the Swedish media Aftonbladet. 'These accusations are completely false and irresponsible, and their propagation is unacceptable. 'In order to put an end to this methodical destruction of (the) image (of Kylian Mbappe), all necessary legal actions will be taken to re-establish the truth and pursue any person or media involved in the moral harassment and defamatory treatment that Kylian Mbappe is suffering repeatedly,' the statement added. Investigators and a forensic unit were at the alleged crime scene on Monday, according to Aftonbladet. The newspaper reported that the alarm over the alleged rape was raised when the woman 'sought care' at a local hospital. i.dailymail.co.uk/1s/2024/10/16/09/90913053-13962095-image-a-9_1729067841610.jpg

Celta de Vigo 1 Real Madrid 2 (Mbappe 20)

Match report by Adam Millington, BBC Sport journalistLuka Modric, 39, became the oldest player to ever feature for Real Madrid as his side beat Celta Vigo in La Liga. The Croatian provided the assist for Vinicius Jr's match-winning goal soon after coming on as a second-half substitute, and helped guide Real to victory in a tough encounter. Real are now level on points with Barcelona - who play Sevilla at 20:00 BST on Sunday - at the top of Spain's top flight but trail them on goal difference and have played a game more. Manager Carlo Ancelotti called Modric a "top professional and a great guy". "It's a pleasure to coach Modric, to work with him. Everything he's been able to achieve and is achieving, he deserves," Ancelotti told Real Madrid TV. They went ahead after just 20 minutes thanks to a wonderful long-range strike by Kylian Mbappe, who took one touch and whipped the ball into the top corner after a pass from Eduardo Camavinga. But it was far from a dominant performance from Ancelotti's men and Celta enjoyed many of the best chances. Williot Swedberg should really have netted before Mbappe, but fired wide when one-on-one with Thibaut Courtois. Real were shaky defensively and Celta often tested them with counter-attacks, while the Madrid club did not cause many problems for the hosts. Celta eventually got their reward for their attacking intent just five minutes after the restart when Swedberg turned home after Oscar Mingueza whipped a low delivery into the box. Vinicius thought he had swiftly restored Real's lead, but he had a goal ruled out for offside - just as Borja Iglesias had done for the visitors after Mbappe scored. The Brazilian managed to get Real back in front 10 minutes later though, when he connected with Modric's well-weighted pass from deep in midfield and turned the ball past Vicente Guaita. "I'm happy because we won after the international break which is not always easy," Ancelotti said of the result.

PSG to go to court after rejecting LFP order to pay Kylian Mbappe almost £50m in unpaid wages..by Reutersi.dailymail.co.uk/1s/2024/10/25/14/91284547-14002177-image-a-22_1729864637885.jpgParis Saint-Germain will take their wage dispute with Kylian Mbappe to court after the French football league's governing body (LFP) ruled in favour of the France captain on Friday. French media reported the 25-year-old, who has not commented on the dispute, is seeking around 55 million euros (£46m) in salary and bonuses he says he is owed by the club. The Ligue 1 champions, however, say Mbappe's contract was 'legally amended' and that he reneged on commitments when he left the club to join Spanish giants Real Madrid in the close season. PSG said last month that Mbappe had refused an offer from the LFP to mediate on the issue. The LFP's National Joint Appeals Commission heard the parties on Oct. 15 and announced on Friday it had ruled in favour of Mbappe. 'The club must pay him the salary he is claiming. This decision is not subject to appeal, but may be referred to the FFF (French Football Federation) Executive Committee,' the LFP told Reuters. However, PSG said they would be 'forced to bring the case before the competent courts' while still trying to find an 'amicable solution' with Mbappe, who became the French club's all-time top scorer during his seven-year stay in the capital. 'What is in debate, and will ultimately be heard before an appropriate tribunal, is that the original contract was legally amended in August 2023 relating to the 2024-25 season, and also fully recognised by the player including in January 2024 - until the player then decided to renege all his commitments upon leaving the club,' a PSG spokesperson said. i.dailymail.co.uk/1s/2024/10/25/14/91284559-14002177-image-a-24_1729864644755.jpg'As a matter of law and fact, the player has made clear, repeated public and private commitments that the club simply asks are honoured, with the player being afforded unprecedented benefits by the club over 7 years in Paris. 'The club hopes these basic commitments will simply be respected, knowing that the club will be forced to have the player's bad faith judged by the competent courts if the player regrettably seeks to pursue this incomprehensibly damaging dispute, for himself and for French football, further.' Mbappe's representatives were not immediately available for comment. In January, Mbappe had said he made an agreement with PSG chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi which would 'protect all parties and preserve the club's serenity for the challenges ahead'.

Real Madrid suffer Shock 3-1 home defeat to AC Milan in the Champions League..by Tum Baloguni.dailymail.co.uk/1s/2024/11/05/23/91719629-14045759-image-a-88_1730848091270.jpgReal Madrid suffered their second-straight defeat at the Bernabeu on Tuesday night, as they were soundly beaten by AC Milan in the Champions League. Carlo Ancelotti's side, the defending champions, stared down a shock defeat in their last home game in the European Cup against Borussia Dortmund before Vinicius Jr inspired an impressive comeback. There were no such heroics against the Italian side, who claimed a famous victory, their second in the competition this term, thanks to goals from Malick Thiaw, ex-Madrid striker Alvaro Morata and Tijjani Reijnders. Defeat leaves the Spanish giants languishing in 17th in the Champions League group phase standings ahead of a tough trip to Anfield to face Liverpool next time out. 'We are going through a period when our opponents are punishing us a lot and we have to keep working so that this doesn't happen again,' Madrid defender Lucas Vazquez told Movistar. Madrid thought they had found a foothold back in the tie when Antonio Rudiger scored from close range but the effort was ruled out for offside. Victory sees Milan draw level with Madrid on six points from their first four Champions League matches. Teams who finish in the top eight places automatically qualify for the last-16, while those finishing nine to 24 will have to contend a play-off to secure a place in the next round. i.dailymail.co.uk/1s/2024/11/04/13/91646499-14038555-image-a-48_1730725715585.jpg

France captain Kylian Mbappe is Left out of Didier Deschamps' squad..by Dominic Hogani.dailymail.co.uk/1s/2024/11/07/13/91802625-0-image-a-1_1730986654905.jpgKylian Mbappe has been left out of the France squad by Didier Deschamps, despite the player telling his boss that he wanted to join the side. Mbappe has endured a mixed start to his life at Real Madrid, having finally arrived in the Spanish capital following a transfer saga that feels as though it is already a number of years old. Despite six goals and an assist in 10 LaLiga games so far - perfectly good numbers at any other side - he has come under pressure for his performances. This was then followed by a rape allegation made against the Real Madrid player in Stockholm, which took place at the hotel where he was staying over the international break, one which he strenuously denies. He had been linked to the incident by the Swedish media, despite no names being officially connected to the case, with the player and his legal representatives dismissing the allegation as 'slanderous'. Mbappe had previously turned down his last call up in October after suffering an injury, electing instead to focus on his recovery from a hamstring injury, which did not go down too well in France. This time round, however, he is believed to have told Deschamps he was keen to join up, only to be left out in the cold in a huge shock. 'I had a couple of talks with Mbappe, and I took the decision to leave him out this time,' said the Les Bleus head coach. 'What I can tell you are these two things: One, that Kylian wanted to come. And two, it's not the extra sporting problems that come into play since the presumption of innocence exists and must exist. It's a one-off choice for this gathering.' He added: 'We may not agree on everything. These are discussions that I can have with the players. I am not here for the players to tell me that I am the most beautiful and the best. I listen. I have always fed off these discussions, whether individual or collective, protecting all the players.' 'That's why I can have a lot of discussions that can go beyond the purely field sphere, because they know very well that we know who spoke if something comes out. 'These exchanges are important to me. With hindsight, tranquility, as much lucidity as possible, I make the decisions that seem to me to be the best.' i.dailymail.co.uk/1s/2024/11/07/13/91803213-14054351-image-a-13_1730987561901.jpgDespite a strong start, Mbappe's performances have been below par in recent weeks after he joined Madrid from PSG this summer. His struggles to adapt to his new side's playing style have coincided with a global rough patch of form for the Spanish club. Mbappe was invisible during the 4-0 loss to Barcelona last month in El Clasico and wasn't a factor this week in a 3-1 loss to AC Milan in the Champions League. Mbappe hasn't added to his 48 goals for France since June. His absence from Deschamps' squad last month turned into controversy when he started a Spanish league game for Madrid following his omission, amid sharp criticism from fans. France play Israel on November 14 in Paris then travels to Italy three days later. i.dailymail.co.uk/1s/2024/11/07/13/91803165-14054351-image-a-16_1730987651818.jpg
