I am not sat on any high moral fence. When you pay contributions to your Pension, you may well be paying a higher rate of tax due to earnings, so someone avoids paying 40% tax on their contributions. When they withdrawl money from the pension they will pay tax at a far lower rate. No matter how you dress the window, it is Tax Avoidance! The poor will die! Yet you and Oldie support the scrapping of the Winter Fuel Allowance! But you are Nobby. You criticise us about the Winter Allowance but you would get away with paying No Tax if you could and if we all did that then there would be NO WA full stop..... No, I have not said anything of the sort. All I have said is that I would do everything I could to reduce my tax.

Well, I didn't take the tax relief, I had that exact value redirected to the pension fund. I was not avoiding tax, I was adhering to the tax regulations at the time. And yes, I knew where the funds were invested, we set up the Pension Scheme with REA Brothers as our advisers and each eligible stakeholder had their investments predicated upon their risk profile (common practice) and for a few of us we could be more specific. But I accept your general point, most pension holders do not track their investments nor pension provider performance. Ill informed and lazy, people just expect their pensions to "just be there" "I was adhering to the tax regulations at the time." , so no different to anyone who uses tax laws to reduce their taxes! As I said, if it's the law, it's the law. But your inference was that I used a tax avoidance schemes, which I never have. My investment however in "agricultural produce", vacuum packed after drying, is currently stored on a boat in the Carribbean, in international waters. 😜😂

The BBC have now admitted that the 1.2m a year figure is false. They took his earnings for three months and extrapolated that over a year. These internet rumours are catching a lot of people out aren't they. Also, Farage's earnings come from a private company, not the taxpayer.

Ordinary people shouldn't expect pay rises but should aspire to be like Mr Farage. At least I'm not rioting on the back of what I read.....

Public sector pay rises is wrong but giving everyone a tax break (no income tax for the first £20,000) won't be a problem.

That is after some geezer was sentenced to 30 months for "barking" at a Police dog and some verbal abuse aimed at the Police..not saying he shouldn't have but there is some kind of missing link in regards to the sentencing,

Has Starmer changed the law? When a first time offender gets 15 months inside for something she wrote on Facebook, you have to admit there is something wrong here.

Has Starmer changed the law? Some, clearly, do not understand the separation between the executive and the judiciary
