The French don't roll over to the people who consider themselves 'elite'.
They don't like politicians who lie, cheat, and rip off the public to line their own pockets.
At times in the recent past the British might have done so.
Most just doff their cap, and bow to the Eton crew these days and accept their lot.
They have gone back to the era of my great grandparents and do as they are told!

My mate in Paris tells me that a lot of the really violent incidents involved visiting Black block anarchists from other countries,I dislike Macron but I disagree with throwing petrol bombs at the Police.

I do. No sympathy at all for anyone who deprives others of rights they enjoy to protect rich people’s off shore tax havens. Also if you foment a divide and conquer approach you can hardly be surprised if that doesn’t come back to bite you on the arse. Live by the sword and you are likely to perish by it too
