it wasn’t a quickly taken corner that was the problem. If you watch the highlights on sky the corner was defended but then a cute ball chipped in to space and whoever was supposed to be marking Pritchard switched off and allowed him a free header from about 5 yards out which he glanced into top corner. It was switching off for a moment and a clever chip that did the damage Okay, but it was apparently quicker than Rovers expected. Players were not picked up,lack of concentration. The Stanley corners usually seemed to be aimed towards the near post/middle area. I remember they crossed one over the the far post and that almost caught Rovers out. I don't know how many corners Stanley had had before the goal, but I think they were all taken in relaxed manner,no rush. Maybe the 'quicker' short corner for the goal is why Rovers defence was found wanting. A cute tactic perhaps. JB mentioned something about a ball boy quickly giving the corner taker the ball and insinuated this led to our defence not being ready. Anyway,a poor goal to concede. Does this guy have any ability to not blame others ? Blaming a ball boy is just the pits, man. You cannot be serious ?

Regarding the ball boy question, i don't think JB is blaming the lad he just described the corner/goal as he saw it. I think he blames his sleepy team and possibly in part himself.

Why are Remainers so tone deaf? I don't want to get into politics but you might want to consider why so many working-class people voted Brexit in the first place - it was to do with the fact that existing arrangements weren't working for them and they wanted to register a 'protest vote' in the hope of an alternative. Not particularly smart or advisable, but if there was an alternative, then perhaps you and other Remainers should have shared it with the rest of us instead of offering such a limp and uninspiring 'Remain' campaign? In any case, I trust you'll concur with me that its pretty sickening to witness advantaged Liberals and members of the political establishment sneer at an underclass who don't share their enlightened wisdom and faith in an elite-based political project (the EU) that has little or nothing to offer the less advantaged of this country. It was racism and a false sense of patriotism. It’s that bloody simple. Nailed it. Orwell wrote how simple it would be to action this too. Won’t go further as i am not able to compute how this happened and how lacking the country is, to fight against the appalling state we are in, apart from the better off

Then why does he seem incapable of saying that Basel ? I admit to being in a very bad mood today and because we just keep on just p155ing away such hard fought for and incredible momentum. No wonder the teds call us the gift. \ anyway, we shall be in the prem before them so nothing to worry about ffs

Anyone heard any comments from the post-match interviews (Lincoln or Accrington)? Yes thanks, but most post match comments from managers area waste of time. Besides you have no interest so why ask? If I had no interest, I wouldn't be paying the fees for this site to exist. Thank you for the feedback baselswh.

Just got back... My oh my....well I guess the promotion honeymoon/bounce/feel good factor is over? Oh, hell.....what a performance!? M o m Aaza again. I like Lofty work ethic. The whole team ran round like headless chickens to give Bernard Matthews food for thought....not enough endeavour and distribution accuracy with the ball, not enough taking opportunity to shoot when it presented itself, no anticipation in receiving passing, too much space behind our defence. Has this team met each other before? Alfie passing awful. Thomas a liability, although 1 good block at the end. Coutts giving ball away in midfield. Too many players beating the first man, and possibly the second but getting themselves in trouble because they're not Pele on Escape to Victory.. The crowd reaction at the end was a good barometer of where some of us feel. That's too many matches struggling to compete with teams that ain't going anywhere this season, and more of that, families paying upward of £50 for a day out will probably choose to go bowling instead.....at least anything falling over will genuinely be hit by the ball! Accy at it again a la Shrews. Dear oh dear... Come on JAB, this was poor. We could and should have done better. "Just got back".🙂 Where is "back home" for you o2o2bo2ba? Curious as you usually seem to get home maybe 18 hours after the ft whistle. North of the river, bas ... I'm a party animal sometimes at home matches, thanks to the bounty of the Gloucester Road! You?

Is it the players, is it the coaching or is it the tactics? It’s Henry, the mild mannered janitor 😂 Almost KP ... it was Penry, rather than Henry ... "Was it Penry, the mild-mannered janitor?" p.s. Hong Kong Phooey / Penrod 'Penry' Pooch was voiced by Scatman Crothers (the musician / actor); who, amongst other shows, also voiced Scat Cat in The Aristocats, Autobot Jazz in The Transformers, and Meadowlark Lemon in The Harlem Globetrotters cartoon. Sergeant Flint was voiced by Joe E Ross of Bilko fame, The Phil Silvers Show. Other cartoons he voiced included Botch from Help! ... It's The Hair Bear Bunch.Spot the Cat was voiced by Don Messick. He was responsible for loads of characters, including: Boo-Boo Bear and Ranger Smith from The Yogi Bear Show and The Huckleberry Hound Show; Bamm-Bamm Rubble and Hoppy from The Flintstones; Beau and Prowler from Top Cat; Astro from The Jetsons; Mr Twiddle from Wally Gator; Muttley from Wacky Races and Dastardly and Muttley; Snorky from The Banana Splits; Scooby-Doo (and loads of additional characters) from Scooby-Doo, Where Are You?, and Godzooky from Godzilla.Rosemary (the telephone operator) was voiced by Kathy Gori, who also did the voice for Laurie in Inch High Private Eye. Sources: The Encyclopedia of Cult Children's TV by Richard Lewis (who I'm sure is the former Radio Bristol presenter and TV writer who was involved with things like Noel's House Party). Plus Wikipedia of course! Worth looking them all up.
