Just got back... My oh my....well I guess the promotion honeymoon/bounce/feel good factor is over? Oh, hell.....what a performance!? M o m Aaza again. I like Lofty work ethic. The whole team ran round like headless chickens to give Bernard Matthews food for thought....not enough endeavour and distribution accuracy with the ball, not enough taking opportunity to shoot when it presented itself, no anticipation in receiving passing, too much space behind our defence. Has this team met each other before? Alfie passing awful. Thomas a liability, although 1 good block at the end. Coutts giving ball away in midfield. Too many players beating the first man, and possibly the second but getting themselves in trouble because they're not Pele on Escape to Victory.. The crowd reaction at the end was a good barometer of where some of us feel. That's too many matches struggling to compete with teams that ain't going anywhere this season, and more of that, families paying upward of £50 for a day out will probably choose to go bowling instead.....at least anything falling over will genuinely be hit by the ball! Accy at it again a la Shrews. Dear oh dear... Come on JAB, this was poor. We could and should have done better. Anyone heard any comments from the post-match interviews (Lincoln or Accrington)? General gist Epping... Lincoln game. Joe said that the creativity was good and with better finishing we could of even won.He was disapointed by our calamitous defending. Accrington game. He was disappointed more or less alround. Not good enough. Honest on both games. I agreed with both reviews.

So Bond has gone. We've reverted to our old goal keeping coach. Can anybody shed any light on whats going on? I think there is another Bristol Rovers that is professionally run and which is benefitting from an overhaul (or 'reset') of its working arrangements. It can't possibly be this one. I'll confess that I don't have a great deal of interest in Kevin Bond, but I would at least like to be informed when he has left the club. Has JB got a mate who can do the job?

Yes thanks, but most post match comments from managers area waste of time. Besides you have no interest so why ask?

😂😂😂😂 It's been a while my friend. I walked by a homeless guy the other day and gave him nothing. Later, on reflection, I sought out the most expensive home in the area and pushed a tenner through the letterbox. I know that this will "trickle down" to the homeless guy, I just do. 🤭🤭🤭 i suppose the homeless guy was grateful though that you didn’t set fire to the tenner under his nose, and that the rich household could stash it in their offshore bank account. Back to today thought to the subs did not improve us. Thought Clarke and Anderson were two of our better players in first half and would have hooked McCormick and Loft ahead of them. Struggling to pin down why it was so disjointed. We made yet another ordinary side look so much better than they really are Why are Remainers so tone deaf? I don't want to get into politics but you might want to consider why so many working-class people voted Brexit in the first place - it was to do with the fact that existing arrangements weren't working for them and they wanted to register a 'protest vote' in the hope of an alternative. Not particularly smart or advisable, but if there was an alternative, then perhaps you and other Remainers should have shared it with the rest of us instead of offering such a limp and uninspiring 'Remain' campaign? In any case, I trust you'll concur with me that its pretty sickening to witness advantaged Liberals and members of the political establishment sneer at an underclass who don't share their enlightened wisdom and faith in an elite-based political project (the EU) that has little or nothing to offer the less advantaged of this country.

He was disappointed more or less alround. Not good enough. Honest on both games. I agreed with both reviews. so he's not blaming the ball boy then? Have watched the goal quite a few times and it’s an absolute shambles. Gordon completely switches off and is aimlessly ambling around the penalty area like a robotic vacuum cleaner. One of our players (Collins?) sees the danger and runs back to close down the bloke who receives the short corner but unfortunately misses his tackle leaving the Accy player free to pick his spot. The two players who were in the vicinity of Pritchard decide to leave him completely free and pull off to the posts leaving him a simple free header which he duly despatches. We had at least 8 players in the box at the time and despite it being quick thinking and a bit of invention it was a desperately poor goal to concede and one that ought to have been stopped. If you watch the play leading up to the corner we were lucky that their ball carrier didn’t play a little through ball as Gordon was in no mans land and it would have been a chance on a plate. That we didn’t step up a gear after this escape says it all about yesterday really. What worried me more about yesterday was the lack of cohesion and creativity in this performance. We looked like a team without a game plan that the players understood or bought into. Even with the switching off for their goal we should have enough in our locker to beat sides like this comfortably at home. 1-0 flattered us though and if they had been any good they had plenty of chances to score a couple of others. Unless this is sorted really quickly we are going to be anchored and adrift in the bottom 4 by Christmas

Unless this is sorted really quickly we are going to be anchored and adrift in the bottom 4 by Christmas I just offered Epping a quick general gist of JBs post match previews from the last two games.Much detail left out. I don't think JB is blaming the ball boy.I think he expects/hope's his defence can be more alert to such things as eg different types of corner. James Belshaw was also caught out by the Accrington corner, the defence as a whole were. As I posted to Oldie, even Barcelona get caught out at corners. It's of course disapointing ,but lapses in concentration can cost a team. Yep,I agree on the lack of creativity and cohesion. The two big questions. Can we improve over the next few games? Will the players out at the moment, improve the team on return?

It was racism and a false sense of patriotism. It’s that bloody simple. From where I was sitting, it looked more like desperation and decades of neglect by the political establishment and selective disregard by Remainers who mistake their privilege for enlightenment. Have you compared the racism of the UK with the racism you encounter in continental Europe? I suggest you conduct a cursory examination of what is acceptable in the UK and what is accepted in Italy and Spain. And it appears to have escaped your attention that, from the perspective of non-Europeans, 'fortress' Europe is just as closed, insular and exclusionary as the nation-state.

It's part of a master plan wouldn’t have said work rate was missing but there was a total lack of cohesion about this performance. Better team won and you could see it coming from a mile away. We could have been there a week and still not scored. Ref was a fat useless puffer but ultimately didn’t cost us the game. Still it’s all coming good in October - along with fields of Brexit unicorns and our economy magically growing through giving the richest in the UK massive tax cuts. Happy days…… Trickle down don’t ya know. More like trickle out.

Considering the amount of practice Rovers put into 'specialised' corners, we are remarkably sleepy when defending them. Bloody awful goal to concede today! Is it the players, is it the coaching or is it the tactics? It’s Henry, the mild mannered janitor 😂

Is it the players, is it the coaching or is it the tactics? Well I don't know. I mean great FCs like eg FC Barcelona get caught out at quickly taken corners. I would think it a players mistake because surely they should be aware of this tactic. Maybe the players concentration levels need a reminder to buck up from the Manager and coaches more often ,although as I 'said',Barcelona can get caught out. I don't know who our defence coach is now. I read that as if you were channeling our manager
