Seeing as this is the stabbings thread, what's the cure for knife crime ? It's obviously massively on the agenda now due to the Southport tragedy and all that since ensued, but it was as much a problem 6 months ago as it is now. I won't argue against increased stop and search laws, harsher penalties and earlier education, but is that going to be enough? Correct pop up.👏 A good place to begin that discussion, has to be by asking the question of why are most of these recent knife crimes, been done by people of an immigrant background, or none British people? It's not a racist angle to start from, but one that is based on logic and bravery to state given how you will be attacked for bringing it up.. I'm not sure that's the question I was asking though ice, and prior to Southport I recall other stabbings commited by white British. The problem is here, and now, and the solutions will be the same for all colours. It won't go away by deportation. I'm not saying I know the answers, that's why I asked the question, but we do need to own the problem as it is ours, unfortunately Edit. These are the 3 incidents that sprang to mind, prior to Southport, that don't seem to relate to the mental health of the perpetrators: www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-gloucestershire-60259528.ampwww.avonandsomerset.police.uk/news/2024/05/three-teenagers-jailed-for-killing-mikey-roynon/www.bristolpost.co.uk/news/uk-world-news/teenage-monsters-who-enjoyed-murdering-9075325.amp

On B/Meinhoff....as I have said I was 17. I didn't deny it, just put it into context. You appear fixated, which is a bit weird.

The 53-year-old was arrested after police received a complaint about the hateful tone of a message posted on a Facebook community group in Kidsgrove, Staffordshire. She did not enter a plea when she appeared at Warrington Magistrates’ Court last week, where she was remanded in custody ahead of a scheduled court appearance today at Chester Crown Court. More people are due in courts across England today, as prosecutions related to the recent riots continueA 41-year-old man from Lambeth will appear, accused of assaulting an emergency worker and using threatening or insulting behaviour Several people will be sentenced today, including two men for violent disorder in Bristol The prosecutions follow days of violent unrest in towns and cities across England and Northern Ireland after three young girls were killed in a stabbing in Southport We’ve been looking at the court schedules for today - here's a look at those due to be sentenced:Bristol: Two men are due to be sentenced for violent disorder in Bristol. Man, 28, to be sentenced after attack on black man during disorder..

Liam Ryan, of Thirkleby Royd, Bradford, West Yorkshire – who was shaking and wiped away tears with a tissue – pleaded guilty to violent disorder last week and was remanded in custody. Prosecutor Laura Peers said a "large group of far-right protesters" were seen engaging in an "altercation with one black male", which was filmed by members of the group and uploaded on social media. "Ryan was seen on the footage aiming a punch towards the male involved," she said. He is due to appear at Manchester Crown Court today.

The adult woman and 11 year girl that were attacked and stabbed by the Rumanian lunatic, are Australian tourists.
This news may well be difficult for Australians to digest apart from the horror ( apparently the 11 year may need plastic surgery ) ,Australia has been so much more proactive in stopping boats of illegal immmigrants and all the trouble and expense that comes with them.
Shame on UK Labour and Conservative Governments.

Man jailed for three years for kicking police officer as almost 400 charged over riots..by Emily Atkinsonichef.bbci.co.uk/ace/standard/1024/cpsprodpb/bace/live/a76a9000-5a35-11ef-b2d2-cdb23d5d7c5b.jpgA man who kicked a female police officer to the ground during riots in Hull has been jailed for three years. Connor Whiteley, 26, pleaded guilty to violent disorder and assaulting an emergency worker after playing a "prominent role" in the "racist, hate-fuelled mob violence" that unfolded in the city on 3rd August, Hull Crown Court heard. He was accused of kicking the shield of a female police officer, forcing her off her feet and leaving her with a minor injury to her elbow and forearm. Police had been trying to protect a hotel known to house asylum seekers. Whiteley also joined an attack on a garage, setting cars alight and shouting threats at staff, who were forced to lock themselves inside. A 15-year-old boy has been charged with violent disorder by detectives investigating unrest in Bristol city centre on Saturday 3rd August. And a 14-year-old boy has been charged with a public order offence following disorder in Whitehall, the Metropolitan Police say – he is due to appear at Sevenoaks Magistrates’ Court later this month. A 60-year-old man has been jailed for two years and eight months after causing an officer to fall to the floor as police clashed with demonstrators outside a hotel housing asylum seekers near Rotherham on 4th August. Glyn Guest, of Pearson Crescent, Wombwell, admitted violent disorder last week and was sentenced today at Sheffield Crown Court. A total of 389 people have been charged following the recent public disorder, the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) says. In an update, posted to social media, the CPS says its teams "continue to work around the clock, along with the police, to charge people as quickly as possible and ensure justice is served". For context, the CPS is responsible for criminal prosecutions in England and Wales.

The bigoted language, the denial of it, and the outrage at being accused of it are quite astonishing. It's hard to comprehend really. Not so much the words (I'm used to that) but the complete and utter denial of any discrimination. And to then have the brazen cheek and front to pretend none of what they said was ever said! It's sort of laughable and sort of pathetic and definitely sad for us all. I'm simply asking where did I write the words That "All ROMANIAN" people are gypsies? As they are not. Can anyone answer? As I never wrote those words. And please don't copy and post my post I wrote yesterday, as it's been done before, and I never said that all Romanians are gypsies in there. The Romanian "Gypsies" in this country however, I stand by every word that I wrote as they beg, steal and attack people to commit crime.I've not had one good interaction with any Romanian gypsy. And Moderators, how come no one has responded to my quest in regards to Oldie and his continuous personal attacks of people on here, by calling people basically racist or "far right"? It's constant and deliberate attacks that no one seems to pull him up on.

It's constant and deliberate attacks that no one seems to pull him up on. 'Far right' is not technically an insult. If that is an insult then so is 'far left' 'lefties', 'woke' [Bas's favourite'] etc. How narrow do you want it to be? Often an insult is perceived when none is given. Many commentators, even professors of politics, use the left - right scale to describe where various ideas and ideologies sit in the political spectrum. Populist politicians and their ideologies, of which anti-immigration is one, tend to sit in the right to far right of that spectrum. As noted previously the left/right scale developed during the French revolution so is not new. The moderators have not received any complaints or reports for quite a while, so if you have reported it to us, it has not appeared in our inbox.

The French revolution had plenty of leftists, but who were the 'far right' then ? monarchists ? I dont think that there is an active 'far right' in Britain now,I suppose 'Britain First' if they are still operating, there maybe some individuals with 'far right' thoughts, JRM for instance is on the right of the Tory party in reality thats a long way from say the NPD in Germany or (as I said elsewhere) from George Lincoln Rockwell in years gone by.

Ok,so what happens if myself or anyone else really did 'express' any "far right" rhetoric on here...? Not just the perception of what my words are were, but rather I admitted that I actually intended to use racist and far right language. Say I came out and used the N- word for example, or something along those lines, then I would be banned from here right? So how is it people such as Oldie can basically call people "far right" on here - which means that you are a Nazi, and get away with these slandous attacks due to 'free speech'... Yet if I had said something that was racist etc, then I would likely be banned or at least warned , correct? Double standard.

You have brought up 3 cases involving white males, but I could respond to you right now by providing you 50 links to news reports, or videos of knife attacks that has happened on our streets in the past month, and all seem to involve immigrants ( legal or illegal) or gang culture, which is a imported thing to our country.

These were just 3 cases that came to mind, possibly because 2 were fairly local and that the other was highly publicised. Possibly also because of the young ages involved too. It's our problem ice, and does seem to be becoming more frequent.

Woman jailed for 'blow up mosque' post as judge warns 'keyboard warriors'..By Zahra Khaliq, News Reporterichef.bbci.co.uk/ace/standard/1024/cpsprodpb/37b0/live/7215d1c0-5a54-11ef-b2d2-cdb23d5d7c5b.jpgA 53-year-old woman who lived a "quiet, sheltered life" has been jailed for 15 months after she sent an online message which read: "Blow the mosque up with the adults in it." Julie Sweeney wrote the Islamaphobic comment on August 3 to a local community Facebook group from her home in Church Lawton, Cheshire - but it was later reported to the police. On Wednesday she pleaded guilty at Chester Crown Court to sending a communication to convey a threat of death or serious harm. Sentencing, Judge Steven Everett, the Honorary Recorder of Chester, said: "I don't think anyone is suggesting that the defendant would have been involved in that herself but so-called keyboard warriors like her have to learn to take responsibility for their language - particularly in the context of the disorder that was going on around the country." Sweeney's sentencing comes after the National Police Chiefs’ Council confirmed 1,024 people had been arrested and 575 charged after a wave of far-right riots saw violence unleashed on streets across England and Northern Ireland. The court heard how Sweeney told officers upon her arrest: "I'm not being rude but there are a lot of people saying it." She said she posted the comment "in anger", had "no intention to put people in fear" and conceded it was "unacceptable" and that she would be "deleting Facebook". John Keane, defending, said: "She accepts it was stupid. This was a single comment on a single day. "She lives a quiet, sheltered life in Cheshire and has not troubled the courts in her long life. Her character references show she lives a kind and compassionate lifestyle. She has been primary carer for her husband since 2015. "This conduct is firmly out of character for her and she has shown genuine remorse. This offence was committed on her computer in the safety of her own home and unfortunately pressing 'send' for her is going to have dire consequences."

They are cracking down hard because they are worried about what will happen when there are further terrorist events,by giving out prison sentences now they hope that people will be less likely to kick off in the future.
