What are you talking about. To the best of my knowledge of you witness and report a crime, reporting the characteristics of the offender is exactly what happens. Jesus The media should offer good descriptions of the suspects too. What sort of descriptions?

The Police have list control of British streets.
Get the a pronoun wrong and they'll have ya.
Get burgled,mugged etc and nothing.
The Police like to dance in public, paint the LGBTQ.... colours on their vehicles.Etc.
They are scared of offending ethnic minorities incase they are accused of being a racist. The Cops, local councils, media etc too.
Useless.

I found a stat that says about 14% of burglaries lead to an arrest. Obviously don't take my word for it folks but Googling 'how many burglaries lead to arrests" eg ,will seecyou in the right direction.

"Who are these assailants? Who should I be looking out for? Are they white, asian, chinese, black? It might help the general public help Police with their inquiries if we knew who we were looking for. Mentioning the ethnicity of these thugs is not racist. It is helping the Police." Have a word Epping. Can you imagine 999 "Which service please?" Police "How can we help?" There is a man behaving suspiciously outside my shop "What is he doing"? He keeps looking through the shop window "How is that suspicious"? He is black. π·π€ People who commit crimes such as the one you highlight are criminals, pure and simple. There ethnicity or skin colour has nothing, inherently, to do with it. Apart from a tool to identify them.I believe that is what happens. Nothing to do with the BBC or Sadiq Khan. Or even Liz Truss. Your example is pure defelection (as usual). I am talking about a very specific incident. Letting the public at large know what ethnicity the thugs are will help them, help the Police. "Apart from a tool to identify them". Finally. Finally. You get it. Basil Fawlty (to Sybil): You should go on Mastermind dear, specialist subject, the bleedin' obvious."

"Apart from a tool to identify them". Finally. Finally. You get it. Basil Fawlty (to Sybil): You should go on Mastermind dear, specialist subject, the bleedin' obvious." Let's remind ourselves of your original rant "The BBC report appears to have become minor news very quickly - nowhere near front page news after less than 24hours. www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-631583532. Sadiq Khan came out with this totally bizarre statement: "The good news is, itβs not a terror attack." WTF. So the good news is that we have feral youths on bikes, armed with knives, threatening the lives of innocent people. On what planet is this good news? 3. The BBC usually hang on every word of Sadiq Khan. And it would be appropriate to quote him in this instance. What a surprise, they must have forgotten this time. 4. Who are these assailants? Who should I be looking out for? Are they white, asian, chinese, black? It might help the general public help Police with their inquiries if we knew who we were looking for. Mentioning the ethnicity of these thugs is not racist. It is helping the Police." So are you suggesting the police would not release details of the assailants if they knew them?

From the BBC report "There was a fight with these teenagers. Out of nowhere, the guy on the moped got stabbed. "The middle-aged man was already on the floor at this point after he got stabbed, and another pedestrian got hurt too, his head was hurt. "The teenagers then just took off." www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-london-63158353So I guess the police are looking for a couple of teenagers. Given the level of CCTV in and around that area they should have plenty of coverage.

I agree and that has been called out. Numerous enquiries of what went wrong have been held. Equally damaging is the way we, as a society, treat children in care. Our attitudes to those children was exposed and were equally responsible for police attitudes.

No proof it is a stabbing yet but - Leah Croucher: Human remains found in missing teen murder probe.

Thames Valley Police earlier found her rucksack and personal items at a house on Loxbeare Drive in Furzton, Milton Keynes. The teenager was last seen on CCTV in the city on 15 February 2019. Formal identification has not taken place but Ms Croucher's family were being kept informed, the force said. "It is likely to take some time to formally identify the deceased," a spokesperson said. Officers have been at the property since 18:30 BST on Monday, after they received information from a member of the public, and said on Wednesday that a murder investigation had begun after her possessions were found. Later, human remains were discovered during "forensic examinations". Police described the scene as "challenging and complex" and said the "forensic examination continues and will do for some time". Since Ms Croucher's disappearance three years ago, police have carried out more than 4,000 house-to-house inquiries and reviewed 1,200 hours of CCTV footage. Miss Croucher was described by loved ones as "very quiet" and "not really an outgoing type of person", preferring to read fantasy fiction or watch DVDs in her room to nights out at the pub. She had competed internationally in taekwondo but her father said she was "not a fighter". Her family was struck by further tragedy when her brother, Haydon Croucher, took his own life, aged 24, in November 2019. His mother said he had found the disappearance of his sister "very difficult".
