This 'zombie knife' ban is just a headline grabber, kitchen drawers are full of deadly knives, with a grindsone, vice and file any teenager could make a machete type knife in an hour, they are tinkering at the edges almost pretending to be doing something to stop this knife crime/ gangster lifestyle. Would you prefer there wasn't an amnesty and they remained available foe sale? Regardless of what this government does, they'll be criticised on here. Anything vaguely left wing, anything vaguely resembling Tory spending control, anything regarding immigration, investment, the NHS, foreign policy, defence. Doesn't matter. They'll get a slapping from the Reform Crew.

Trans woman killed in Georgia day after anti-LGBT law passed..by Frances Mao, BBC Newsi.dailymail.co.uk/1s/2024/09/19/12/89864407-13868631-image-a-1_1726743667804.jpgOne of Georgia's most well-known transgender women has been killed in her home, a day after the country's parliament passed a major anti-LGBT bill. Local officials say Kesaria Abramidze, 37, was stabbed to death in her flat in the capital Tbilisi on Wednesday. A 26-year-old man has been arrested in the case that has shocked the small South Caucasian nation. Georgian media reported he was known to the victim. Rights groups have linked the killing to the new anti-LGBT law, arguing the government's promotion of it had fuelled transphobic hate crime. Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili, who opposed the new law, said the "horrendous murder" raised urgent questions about hate crimes and discrimination. The legislation from Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze's government severely restricts rights for LGBT people. It introduces a ban on same-sex marriage, gender-affirming surgeries, child adoption by non-heterosexuals and the promotion of same-sex relationships in schools. The bill sailed through parliament on Tuesday in an 84-0 vote, despite criticism from rights groups. The ruling party said the "Protection of Family Values and Minors" bill was designed to protect a majority of Georgians seeking protection from "LGBT propaganda". But local LGBT rights campaigners said the government had used homophobic and transphobic language and ideas in promoting the bill. Several activists directly linked what they said was the government's harmful rhetoric to the killing of Ms Abramidze. One of the first openly trans public figures in the country, she had represented Georgia in international trans pageants and had more than 500,000 followers on social media. "Political homophobia, biphobia, and transphobia have become central to the government’s official discourse and ideology," said local human rights group the Social Justice Center. "Kesaria Abramidze's killing cannot be viewed separately from this overall grave context," it added. i.dailymail.co.uk/1s/2024/09/19/12/89864385-13868631-image-m-9_1726743920394.jpgProgressive politicians outside the country have also linked the killing to the government's legislative agenda. "Those who sow hatred will reap violence. Kesaria Abramidze was killed just one day after the Georgian parliament passed the anti-LGBTI law,” wrote German lawmaker Michael Roth, the social democratic chair of the country's foreign affairs committee. European Union figures had already condemned the legislation when it passed earlier this week, saying it further jeopardised the country's stated aim of joining the EU. Josep Borrell, the EU's foreign policy chief, said the law was "further derailing the country from its EU path". He called on the Georgian government to withdraw the law. The legislation undermines the "fundamental rights of the people" and increases discrimination and stigmatisation, he added. The British embassy has also expressed "serious concerns". Rights groups have characterised the Georgian legislation as being similar to Russian laws which severely restrict LGBT rights. The Washington-based think tank Freedom House said the bill was "pulled directly from the Kremlin's authoritarian playbook".

Burglar stabbed in prison kitchen awarded £5m..by Lewis Adams & PA Media, BBC News, Essex

Steven Wilson, 36, was attacked by a fellow prisoner armed with a 9in knife as he carried out kitchen duties at HMP Chelmsford, in Essex, in July 2018. A risk assessment of Mr Wilson's attacker, who was serving a life sentence for murder, said it was "unknown" if he could be left unsupervised prior to the attack. Mr Wilson sued the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) which admitted liability over the incident but challenged the level of his claim for damages. In a ruling on Friday, Judge Melissa Clarke awarded Mr Wilson £5,404,559 in damages. He suffered lacerations to his liver and stomach, penetrating wounds to his abdomen and chest wall, and an incomplete spinal lesion during the attack. "There is no doubt that Mr Wilson's life has been radically and permanently affected by the physical and psychiatric/psychological injuries caused by that terrible attack in the prison kitchen," she wrote. The judge said as a result of his injuries, Mr Wilson needed a wheelchair, a walking stick and a frame. During a trial in April, the claimant described how he "felt very vulnerable in prison" and was fearful of his vulnerable state if attacked again. Mr Wilson, who had 31 previous convictions between 1999 and 2018, had been on remand for aggravated burglary at the time of the stabbing. He was later convicted and sentenced to nine years, discounted to six-and-a-half-years imprisonment on account of his injuries, and was released in June 2021.

Two men, 52 and 18, are arrested on suspicion of murder after boy, 15, 'stabbed to death with zombie knife' and left to die in the street..
i.dailymail.co.uk/1s/2024/09/24/12/90032517-0-image-a-1_1727176062429.jpg 15-year-old Daejaun was allegedly stabbed to death by a group of up to four menA 15-year-old boy who died after being stabbed with a "zombie-style knife" in south-east London has been named. Daejaun Campbell was found with a stab injury on Eglinton Road, Woolwich, just after 18:30 BST on Sunday. He died at the scene. Two men aged 52 and 18 have been arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in police custody. Detectives investigating the case have appealed again for witnesses and anyone who knows anything about Daejaun’s death to contact them. A woman who lives locally told BBC London she had picked up the injured boy's phone after it rang and she was able to get a friend to come to his side. "I was back and forth with the boy on the floor and just trying to comfort him - he was saying 'I am 15' and 'to call my mum'," the witness said. The police say their investigation into Daejaun’s death is still in the early stages and that officers are trying to build a picture of what happened. Detectives believe the teenager was attacked with a zombie-style knife. Det Ch Supt Trevor Lawry said: “My thoughts are with Daejaun’s loved ones as they try and come to terms with this heart-breaking incident." He added: "I want to appeal to you again and ask if you know anything about the death of young Daejaun. “Did you see anything suspicious around the Eglinton Road area? Did you see anyone running away from the area? Do you have any footage? If you do then please contact police.” In an appeal for witnesses on Monday, Det Ch Supt Lawry said: "Once again we have had to tell a child’s family that their loved one has been killed in an act of violence using a knife. Our thoughts are with them as they struggle to comprehend what has happened. "The fact that a 15-year-old teenager, who had his whole life ahead of him, has been taken from his family in this way, is a stark and sobering reminder of the danger of ‘zombie-style’ knives. "We are committed to doing everything in our power to taking these weapons off our streets." i.dailymail.co.uk/1s/2024/09/23/19/90006793-13882985-image-a-9_1727115568653.jpg

Adding to the post by France above: Barnes station stabbing sees all trains cancelled at rush hour as man fights for life..By Benedict Tetzlaff-Deas, News Reporteri2-prod.mirror.co.uk/incoming/article33755763.ece/ALTERNATES/s1200d/1_Barnes.jpgA man has been left fighting for his life after being stabbed at a London railway station. Police officers and paramedics raced to Barnes station in south west London after the attack unfolded at around 7.10am. The station is currently closed to the public and trains have been cancelled. Commuters have been asked to use bus services in the area instead. The man has been rushed to hospital, where his injuries are said to be life-threatening and "consistent with a stabbing". A spokesperson for the British Transport Police said: “Officers were called to Barnes railway station at around 7.10am today (26th September) following reports of a serious assault. Paramedics also attended, and a person was taken to hospital with injuries that are consistent with stabbing and are considered to be life threatening. Detective Superintendent Sam Blackburn added: "There is absolutely no place for violence on the railway network and detectives are working at pace to investigate the incident The station will remain closed while our initial enquiries are carried out, and the public will see increased high-visibility patrols in the area and across the network to provide reassurance."

Youngest killers since Bulger case to serve more than eight years..By Noor Qurashi i2-prod.birminghammail.co.uk/incoming/article29091125.ece/ALTERNATES/s1200/0_unnamed-7.jpgThe grieving father of Shawn Seesahai who was hacked to death with a machete has revealed his 19-year-old son's harrowing last moments in an emotional interview. Speaking from his native Anguilla, heartbroken Suresh Seesahai held back tears as he recounted the moment he learned his son had been murdered in Britain, where he had come for a better life. Suresh told how Shawn had begged 'daddy, help me' as two 12-year-old boys chopped and beat him to death in Wolverhampton last November, and how he is haunted by his son's final moments and 'how scared he must have been'. His family have described the unprovoked attack on the 19-year-old as senseless, having been committed 'for no reason at all'. 'What was shocking for the investigation was that those two suspects were 12 years old.' At Nottingham Crown Court today, Mrs Justice Tipples ordered each boy to be detained at His Majesty's pleasure for a minimum of eight years and six months – meaning they will remain in custody until they are at least 20. The sentence includes time spent living in secure accommodation where they have been since the offence last November. The judge told the boys: 'What you both did is horrific and shocking. You both killed Shawn in an attack that lasted less than a minute when he asked you to move from where you were on a park bench. 'Shawn did not deserve to be attacked. He did not deserve to die… It's clear that the sentence I have decided to pass cannot make that right. 'What you did in those few short moments has also changed your life forever. You will have to live with the consequences. I cannot be sure which one of you stabbed Shawn. Only you know that, but you acted together.' Mr Seesahai, who was living in Handsworth, Birmingham at the time of his death, had cataracts that he had been unable to get treatment for in Anguilla. After successful surgery in the UK he was 'able to start planning for the future and think about getting an education', prosecutor Michelle Heeley KC said. However, his life was brutally cut short after he and his friend encountered the boys near a bench in the park. Ms Heeley told jurors that despite the fact he had 'offered no violence, nor done anything to offend', he became the victim of a savage attack after one of the boys deliberately 'shoulder brushed' him then pulled a machete from his trousers. Mr Seesahai ended up on the floor where jurors heard he was punched, kicked and knifed – struck so hard on the skull with the machete that a piece of bone came away.

Has anyone noticed how many young teens/ men now wear masks or full head coverings now post Covid to intimate? Brainwashed society.

It's certainly not political correctness that allows so many gun murders in the USA, so why is it political correctness that allows (much lower relatively and absolutely) so many knife murders in the UK? A bit of doublethink there.

Popular culture has made a lot of young men want to become 'gangsta's', guns are still difficult to be obtained in Britain compared to USA,knives are everywhere, stabbing someone gives these youths some kudos. Hip hop stars must have been shot to have any 'credibility' , TV and music have glamourised gangsters/crime so its not surprising when youths try and emulate what they have seen on screen. One gym that I use is full of lads like this, pumping themselves up,gold chains (worn in the gym whilst training too !) nice Audi or BMW in the car park, they have a different mindset, last week I had finished my workout and had a sweat on so as I was leaving I put a tracksuit top on, one bloke covered in bling was walking out at the same time...he was taking his shirt off !

The trial of the people who are accused of murdering the young lads in Knowle West earlier this year has started. The prosecution said that it was a revenge attack for an earlier incident but the 2 boys who were murdered had nothing to do with the earlier incident, they were totally blameless and just happened to be walking down the road when these maniacs saw them...if they are found guilty they should be locked up forever.
