Bloody good questions though, you must admit. if he was humiliated, then I am afraid that is more of a consequence of his own lack of ability. Yes Les they where great Questions and very difficult to answer unless pre warned (unlike our premiership chairman who get a pre set list of questions) I wonder what would have happened if Mr Higgs said " NO COMMENT" ?? he would get just as much bashing on here as he is getting for answering them. Come on Henbury. As a Director myself I don't get pre-warned on questions coming my way in leadership meetings, with customers, or in an interview. He is a shocking interviewee and out of his depth for his position. Not helped by the fact that he goes on the defensive from the very start.

He will continue to bashed until he either leaves or becomes competent. Do you honestly believe that NH is being given too much of a hard time and that the criticism is unwarranted or unfair?
Jesus wept, "what more can I do?" NH cries....
Well in May he could have:
1. Put and end to this ridiculous Kevin Spencer nonsense immediately to emphasise that we really are all in this together. 2. Actually conducted a thorough root and branch review of all aspects of the club - preferably via an outside agency, publishing and acting on the results. 3. Shown an ounce of contrition instead of this head in the sand bluster and bullsh*t and utter indignation that anyone should dare to question them. 4.....
actually, just number 3 would have done.

We would never be in this mess if we concentrated more on understanding core problems that face the club, things like, how many people visit each pasty hut and what is the yield per visit?

Nick, we are worried that Santa's Grotto might not make an appearance this year. Can you reassure us about that?

I must admit NH twice said ...he did not understand the question....is he really that unaware of the subject..or was it a chance for him to think on his feet and stall for an answer ...I have emailed Geoff Twentyman to congratulate him on a stunning interview ..had an auto reply ...he is out of the office until 8 Sept ....more golf or holiday ...Geoff's quest will miss him ....or is he being interviewed for a position at Radio FIVE LIVE !

2. What would you have done if this was done and came up with the result "As directors and owners of the club, in terms of the basic requirement for a business to earn an adequate return on your investment, you should liquidate your assets and dissolve the company upon the receipt of the funds from Sainsburys. Should that deal fall through then dissolve the company at that point". Any review of the company as a going concern would have that as the outcome.

I think at that point you refuse to pay the analyst's invoice as they are clearly and demonstrably incompetent. Explaining to Higgs that he's clueless and the best thing would be to try to sell the FC may be better advice than simply decommissioning, for a variety of reasons. Remember, he get's approached all the time by people wanting to invest and / or take over.

The BoD would set the scope of the review and I would hope that it wouldn't be "how can the directors earn a return on their investment?" but rather it would set out short, medium and long term plan for arresting this seemingly terminal decline and fulfilling our potential.

The BoD have done what was requested and taken the advice of the independent review that a minority of fans have demanded. A majority of fans may have wanted it but there is no evidence they have demanded it. Oh you don't agree with the outcome. That is your prerogative but they have done what you wanted. Demand a review with another outcome.

I like the bit where he blamed the media for our crap start and Geoff destroyed him.

Why are you so defensive of Kevin Spencer and why is this so important? He is one person. Why was he banned and nobody else? If he did absolutely nothing wrong then why has he been banned? A simple question Mr Spencer-There is no smoke without fire- What did you do to get banned? . It seems that Football is no longer the important part of this forum but instead the politics of the club. It seems results are not important unless they give something to criticise the Board. I fail to see why Geoff couldn't come up with his own questions or is the truth he has no real interest other than to get brownie points. The only points I am interested in are the 3 points for a win and one for a draw and the performance of the team. Perhaps a few more should take more notice of this and less of the politics and maybe ,just maybe this club can go forward again.

Demand a review with another outcome. Not so. Higgs came out with the promise of a top to bottom review straight after Mansfield. Nobody had time to demand anything, he made the promise, then they reviewed themselves. Outcome, Barry is having a chat about new T-shirt designs and they want someone to deal with IT on the cheap. I'm expecting to wake up any minute to find out that Marcus Stewart's effort dipped under the bar, JR wasn't shot and the Man From Atlantis has been living in my shower for the last 20 years, it really is that surreal.
