Well I'm definitely not the one who played rugby for Bristol United and The Dings. ;-) Could have made a good prop though Kevin, dont think you got the speed for a winger Actually Brian I was an outside centre or winger.

I wouldn't want to enter this particular ongoing debate, other than to say that it's surely only fair and proper for posters to be allowed to air their points of view in a reasonable manner . . . whatever the subject matter might be. Although I am not a member of either camp, I believe that it's healthy for views of all shades to be aired on here, without them being shouted down by the ''opposition.'' Assuming that the views of Nurse Ratched are genuinely held and sincere, why shouldn't he/she be allowed to express them in the same way as the pro-NB camp are allowed to do? After all his/her views are not a one-off, but held by others. That much is perfectly clear. But I must say that I was more than surprised by the reply from Cheshiregas, especially as he is a Global Moderator. I wouldn't wish to take your voice away Cheshire, but you should surely rise above the mud slinging, and stand a little way away to retain your impartiality and credibility. I sincerely apologise if anyone felt my response was OTT. I have no issue with opposing viewpoints as long as they are respectfully put over. I do object to those who post in order to deliberately inflame a situation or antagonise people. There is a lot I disagree with at the club but people are more than welcome to defend the BoD and their actions. It is blatantly obvious that the Nurse has a particular dislike of NB and posts to wind up not to get a point over. if you feel I should step aside as a moderator then I will do so. I allowed the nasty antagonistic posts of Nurse annoy me and I shouldn't have done so. No, I most certainly do not think that at all. On reflection, perhaps I should have stopped typing after the first paragraph as I had made the point that I was attempting to make by then. I'm also well aware of the impeccable manners that you always display, plus your carefully constructed posts are a credit to you. Good luck.

This is not just a story about two stubborn men as some seem to suggest.
The powerbroker in all this is the chairman who has told Kevin Spencer that he will provide him with details of what he is supposed to apologise for and pass them to Kevin. To date he has not done so.
I'm afraid there is smoke without fire, there is one side to the story and this is it.
Tragically, Kevin's father went to his grave recently knowing his son's good name and integrity remained in question. If this happened to you, ask yourself how the hell you would feel at the moment? For me, this adds a new dimension to this sorry state of affairs.
Mr Higgs needs to end this now, either by fulfilling his promise or by confirming the lifetime ban.
One way or another, that will be that and everyone can move on.

Yes we need to focus on all the dead wood, stuck in the past yes men whose lack of creativity or ability to stick up for the club or challenge failure has led us to non league oblivion. Lets start with disbanding the supporters club and replacing it with something decent. Then lets beg the decent guys we did have at the club to come back, Mike, Colin, Kev , Kim and John M Disband an organisation like BRSC which has provided financial support since 1914 ? They provide matchday support selling progs, shirts and 50/50 tickets arrange transport to away games etc...replace it with what exactly I'm with Harry on this one. BRSC does an excellent job selling programmes, shirts, 50/50 tickets and arranging transport to away games. No need to change anything they do or replace them with anyone. There's no evidence to suggest supporters are unhappy with BRSC or that they want anything different. Brian Seymour Smith's impending landslide victory in the BRSC director election will show that people are more than happy with the way things are.

"We have backed all of our managers to the hilt".
The fact that he refers to "all of our managers" reminds us of just how many he has been through in his time as Chairman. I wouldn't describe his treatment of Dave Penney as "backing to the hilt". More like "stabbing in the back".
