I think that Geoff has done brilliantly in this interview ... some real edge , feels like he is quite angry with it all. i did wonder if he got all his questions from this forum because a lot of it looked to be lifted straight form here....

Well there you have it.
There are 96 teams in the League.
And the ball is in Kevin's court.
But Kevin says it's not.
Is someone being dishonest?
Kevin says he has text messages and emails to back up his claims.
This is actually very serious and Nick needs to deal with it. He's being accused of being at best very forgetful, and that's being generous.
I think that most of us saw this as a spat between Kevin and one or more members of the board and thought that they should just sort in out amongst themselves. But the recent website story saying that Kevin wasn't allowed to attend a wake held at the stadium, even though the request was put forward by a man of the cloth, makes it difficult to be sympathetic towards the board's stance.
Come on Nick, it won't go away, let's either see the proof of what Kevin has said, after all it was all stuff written on public forums, or the board need to apologise and explain themselves.

Yes he is all that and more, but in the cold light of day he can only state what he thinks as the chairman of BRFC. I think the whole issue over Keven Spencer reminds me of two rutting raindeer in season, nobody wants to back down and loose faith The stadium issues are still being resolved and are subject to Non disclosure orders - the fun i have in getting info out of my friend re planning is like trying to get blood out of stone and i have to word it very carefully so the finger won't point to my friend. The issues with JW sounded good but the truth be known john wanted to leave at the end of last season and was talked into staying longer with the proviso that he would employ a replacement - they should have thanked him for what he did for us and say goodbye Henbury have you ever received any hints that Nick uses this same "rutting" technique with the UWE, Sainsburys and their advisers ? Can only talk about things on the planning side, but i understand both BRFC & UWE did have a good Rutt and both backed down a bit and are now at the mating stage

Nick was noticeably rattled and annoyed by the line of questioning and really didn't come out of that well all.

The problem being that there is nothing magnanimous about NH and I cannot ever see him apologising. They get others to do their dirty work and are too stubborn to back down even though this is now making them look extremely foolish. It's making NH looking a gibbering wreck to boot. It really is time to put this to bed like men and not lie to an agenda. Speak the truth and shame the Devil The truth will set them free

Did anyone else pick up the contradictions in this interview and the one filmed by the BBC just a few days ago? For starters a few days ago the investment deal in the summer (Eales) was very close. Today apparently it wasn't close to happening at all.
Just wish we could throw someone like Paxman on this liar of a man.

Maybe just maybe it is Nick Higgs who is telling the truth?? Its probably beyond a fair few on here to think that. But there again we have our first win and there's hardly anything on the game but instead more talk on the Kevin Spencer Roadshow. I really despair at the amount of tripe on this forum and it seems another load of rubbish on Ryan Brunt. As regards the interview if I didn't know better I reckon Geoff picked all his questions from this forum and spoke like one of the forum too.

Oh Stevie, How sad to see one so good at the football bit totally ignore all the evidence to the contrary of your thoughts. If you have followed the saga at all then you would know how far and how low the board have stopped to both blacken a decent mans name and to ban him from his team. If it were a family member of yours, would you put up with it ? Really. This is a lot more than what you see. It comes down to the very core of honesty, truth and integrity. Higgs has NONE and if you are happy to have a liar as chairman then god bless you. As for Brunt, wait and see. Have a good night mate.

If you mean do I think that it is right that he is held to account for his inadequate performance then, yes I thought that it was an excellent interview.
There is very little about supporting Rovers that has given me any pleasure for a very long time.

Bloody good questions though, you must admit. if he was humiliated, then I am afraid that is more of a consequence of his own lack of ability.

Yes Les they where great Questions and very difficult to answer unless pre warned (unlike our premiership chairman who get a pre set list of questions) I wonder what would have happened if Mr Higgs said " NO COMMENT" ?? he would get just as much bashing on here as he is getting for answering them.

That's not a source of pleasure that is f***** worrying.

Contributors to this forum represent a wide range of views regarding Rovers. I think it's a perfectly valid platform for the local media to find out how supporters feel and what questions they would like answered. I also think that interview was a total car crash for Nick, the problems were of his own making. Rules 1 and 2 for being interviewed: Don't get angry, don't interrupt.
