Everton boss Sean Dyche has been speaking about the death of chairman Bill Kenwright: "He was incredibly supportive. I was reading [David] Moyes' comments, how as a young manager how supportive he was...he was nothing but supportive even through some hard times.
"He's been someone to pick up the phone to you, always got time for you, always wanted to find out what's going on with you. Often telling me all his wisdom about Everton football club and what we should be doing. Always in a supportive way, I should be clear.
"Last season, we shared an moment that is an odd big moment. To stay up on the last day like in the fashion we did and to share that with him. That was a big moment and he felt probably differently than me on how big that was after a tough season for many different reasons. That was certainly a very big moment that he was certainly very pleased and very proud of.
"A lot of what I learnt about him wasn't actually about the football side. About the strength of what he'd done. I knew he was in that world but I didn't know how powerful it was. How many lives he'd touched along the way and what he does on that side of his life, not the football side.
"On the human level, he was a perfect gentleman and I always enjoyed listened to him about his stories, about his own life, not necessarily about Everton football club."

WEDNESDAY 1st NOVEMBER 2023 - EFL CUP - FOURTH ROUND
Everton 3 Burnley 0

Everton comfortably beat Burnley to reach the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup on a poignant night at Goodison Park, where the hosts paid tribute to late chairman Bill Kenwright. In the team's first home game since his passing last week, the Blues honoured Kenwright in ideal fashion by booking their place in a quarter-final at home to Fulham. Owner Farhad Moshiri was present to pay his respects to Kenwright, appearing at a home game for the first time since October 2021. He may have witnessed victory on potentially his last appearance at the ground as James Tarkowski headed in the opener after 13 minutes against his former club. The hosts doubled their lead eight minutes into the second half as Tarkowski nodded on Dwight McNeil's corner for Amadou Onana to poke in from close range and Ashley Young added a third late on. ichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cps/800/cpsprodpb/C81D/production/_131592215_tribute-main.jpg Tributes were paid to chairman Bill Kenwright, who died aged 78 last week
Everton manager Sean Dyche:"It is not easy to win football matches in any competition. Cup games have a different feel and you have to make sure players are up for the challenge. Overall I'm very pleased. We came off it a bit after the goal and they got back into it - and we went a bit soft. We corrected it at half-time and played strong in the second half. We were worthy winners. "It was always tempting [to make changes], but the challenge you have is if you want to be super successful, seven or eight years ago people were talking about Europe here and you play a lot of football. You can play three games in a week, but we have to be sensible. You want to have the mentality to be playing every single game. "It is a work in progress, but there is progress. Earlier in the season performances were good but we didn't get the results. It doesn't hold weight when you don't win." ichef.bbci.co.uk/ace/standard/240/cpsprodpb/2BDD/production/_131592211_everton-index.jpg

SATURDAY 11th NOVEMBER 2023 - PREMIER LEAGUE
Crystal Palace 2 Everton 3
ichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cps/800/cpsprodpb/1174C/production/_131700517_gettyimages-1787696915.jpg Vitaliy Mykolenko scored for the second game in succession
A late goal from substitute Idrissa Gueye helped Everton beat Crystal Palace in a thrilling Premier League game at Selhurst Park. The away side took the lead in the first minute. A long ball was played forward and not properly cleared and Jack Harrison chipped an inviting cross into the box and Vitaliy Mykolenko headed in from close range. Palace were level four minutes later when Eberechi Eze went on a surging run into the Everton penalty area before being brought down by Jarrad Branthwaite. The England midfielder picked himself up and slotted the penalty confidently past Jordan Pickford. Everton retook the lead in the 49th minute. Mykolenko hit a volley from the edge of the area that struck Sam Johnstone's post and Abdoulaye Doucoure was on hand to tap into an empty net from close range. Palace thought they had done enough to draw the match when Odsonne Edouard took advantage of a mix-up between James Tarkowski and Pickford, but that was before substitute Gueye scored late on to take all three points. The result means Everton are unbeaten in four games in all competitions and eight points clear of the relegation zone. The match between these two sides was played at a breathtaking pace and was not short of incidents. ichef.bbci.co.uk/ace/standard/240/cpsprodpb/4394/production/_131700371_gettyimages-1787696381.jpgEverton caused Palace a lot of problems with their crosses into the box and Dominic Calvert-Lewin was denied a goal in the first half by an excellent intervention from Joel Ward when the scores were level. That was before Palace thought they should have had a second penalty when Branthwaite challenged Eze, but, after a lengthy video assistant referee check, Eze was booked for simulation. Everton started the second half like they did the first period and scored early again through Doucoure before Edouard's leveller. Gueye then snatched all three points with the winning goal in the 86th minute. The midfielder was played through on goal by Doucoure and slotted the ball through Tyrick Mitchell's legs and into the corner of the net to win the game. The victory is only Everton's second in eight visits to Selhurst Park and continues their run of good form.

Everton receive immediate 10-point Premier League deduction..By Harry Poole, BBC Sport.ichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cps/800/cpsprodpb/6617/production/_131753162_gettyimages-1722093224.jpgEverton have received an immediate 10-point deduction after being found to have breached the Premier League's profit and sustainability rules. The punishment is the biggest sporting sanction in the competition's history and leaves Everton 19th in the table on a new total of four points. The club said it was "both shocked and disappointed" by the "wholly disproportionate and unjust" ruling. Everton have said they intend to appeal against the decision. The Premier League referred Everton to an independent commission in March but did not reveal the specifics of the club's alleged breach. Everton posted financial losses for the fifth successive year in March after reporting a £44.7m deficit in 2021-22. Premier League clubs are permitted to lose £105m over a three-year period and Everton admitted to being in breach of the profit and sustainability rules (PSR) for the period ending 2021-22. Following a five-day hearing in October, the commission found in favour of the Premier League that Everton's losses during that period amounted to £124.5m. In a statement, Everton said: "The club does not recognise the finding that it failed to act with the utmost good faith and it does not understand this to have been an allegation made by the Premier League during the course of proceedings. "Both the harshness and severity of the sanction imposed by the commission are neither a fair nor a reasonable reflection of the evidence submitted. "The club will also monitor with great interest the decisions made in any other cases concerning the Premier League's profit and sustainability rules." The points deduction comes at a time of significant uncertainty at Everton. In September, owner Farhad Moshiri agreed to sell his 94% stake in the club to American investment fund 777 Partners. The takeover is going through the regulatory processes and, before this ruling, sources said it was on course to be completed by next month. ichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cps/800/cpsprodpb/125BA/production/_131749157_table.jpg'Irresponsible - a position of Everton's own making'Explaining why Everton's points deduction was so high, the commission said in its written reasons that the cause of the club's issues was because of overspending - largely on new players - along with an inability to sell players, and a lower than projected league finish. The club's 16th-place finish in 2021-22 caused a loss of expected income of around £21m, the reasons state. The commission added: "Everton's understandable desire to improve its on-pitch performance (to replace the non-existent midfield, as Mr Moshiri put it in evidence) led it to take chances with its PSR position. "Those chances resulted in it exceeding the £105m threshold by £19.5m. "The position that Everton finds itself in is of its own making. The excess over the threshold is significant. The consequence is that Everton's culpability is great. "We take into account the fact that Everton's PSR trend over the relevant four years is positive, but cannot ignore the fact that the failure to comply with the PSR regime was the result of Everton irresponsibly taking a chance that things would turn out positively." The chair of the commission, David Phillips KC, also referenced applications for financial compensation from current Premier League clubs Burnley and Nottingham Forest and last season's relegated sides, Leicester City, Leeds United and Southampton. Phillips said he was "satisfied that the applicant clubs have potential claims for compensation" - but noted the commission holds no "inherent jurisdiction" and it is instead "the role of the Premier League to bring and prosecute complaints". ichef.bbci.co.uk/ace/standard/480/cpsprodpb/761B/production/_131753203_gettyimages-1640153679.jpgBiggest sanction in Premier League history - but can Everton survive? In Premier League history only two other clubs have received a points deduction. Middlesbrough were deducted three points for failing to fulfil a fixture against Blackburn during the 1996-97 season, while in 2010 Portsmouth were deducted nine points after going into administration. Neither club was able to avoid relegation following those sanctions. The deduction leaves the Toffees level with bottom club Burnley on four points after 12 matches - and two points adrift of safety. Sean Dyche's side, who ended last season two points above the relegation places, had been 14th in the standings - and eight points clear of the bottom three. On the three previous occasions when a Premier League club has had as few as four points after 12 games, Everton in 1994-95 were the only side to stay up. Manchester City are the only other club to have been charged by the Premier League for financial breaches, when they were referred to an independent commission over more than 100 alleged rule breaches between 2009 and 2018. Treble winners City were charged in February - before Everton - and that case is still ongoing. Meanwhile, Chelsea could face further scrutiny from football's authorities over reports of payments connected to the club's former owner Roman Abramovich. Chelsea were fined £8.6m by European football governing body Uefa in July for "submitting incomplete financial information" between 2012 and 2019 as part of a settlement for breaking Financial Fair Play rules.

Everton statement..
ichef.bbci.co.uk/ace/standard/480/cpsprodpb/1798F/production/_131755669_evertonseatsbadge.jpgEverton Football Club is both shocked and disappointed by the ruling of the Premier League’s commission. The club believes that the commission has imposed a wholly disproportionate and unjust sporting sanction. The club has already communicated its intention to appeal the decision to the Premier League. The appeal process will now commence and the club’s case will be heard by an appeal board appointed pursuant to the Premier League’s rules in due course. Everton maintains that it has been open and transparent in the information it has provided to the Premier League and that it has always respected the integrity of the process. The club does not recognise the finding that it failed to act with the utmost good faith and it does not understand this to have been an allegation made by the Premier League during the course of proceedings. Both the harshness and severity of the sanction imposed by the commission are neither a fair nor a reasonable reflection of the evidence submitted. The club will also monitor with great interest the decisions made in any other cases concerning the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability Rules. Everton cannot comment on this matter any further until the appeal process has concluded. ..................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... 'Disproportionate and unjust' ruling - Everton..Shamoon Hafez, BBC Sport. There is genuine shock around the decision to deduct 10 points from Everton, being handed the biggest sporting sanction in Premier League history. The Toffees drop from 14th to second bottom in the table but are only two points short of safety, so have not been cut adrift and can claw back their position. Everton believe they were compliant when they sent their accounts in and sources have said there is a feeling of it being a "disproportionate and unjust" ruling. The commission found in favour of the Premier League but Everton had gained no sporting advantage and have strived to remain compliant. I am told the club will be appealing the decision, so this is not over yet and will rumble on.

Get Involved - Everton receive immediate 10-point deduction..
ichef.bbci.co.uk/live-experience/cps/624/cpsprodpb/vivo/live/images/2023/11/17/2bb3013d-3915-478a-9035-1dee20c838ad.pngRob, Leeds: Forget punishing them now, Everton should never have been allowed to register all those mediocre players on big wages in the first place. Follow La Liga's rules on player registration. Instead we have a mess. Expect relegated sides to sue, appeals and counter appeals. And I haven't even touched on issues with City or finances lower down the pyramid which are utterly unsustainable. English football's governance is unfit from top to bottom. Wayne: This isn't about Man City or any other club. It's about the hypocrisy of the premier league & the 6 clubs that run it. Shame on them !!! Steve: Everton get this huge points deduction, yet the clubs who tried to break up the Premier League by joining the Super League hardly get a talking to. Hope Everton stay up after this. Richard, Kent: What about Leicester being relegated - they'd have stayed up with Everton 10-pt deduction - not fair on Leicester from Richard, Kent What about Leicester being relegated - they'd have stayed up with Everton 10-pt deduction - not fair on Leicester. Rob: Everton broke the rules and deserve to be punished. Whatever Man City or any other club does and gets away with does not change that fact. The problem here isn't what they've done to Everton, it's the lack of action against others. Chris: Will be interesting to see which relegated clubs sue. Leeds will do well to remember that they finished 19th last year, so they would have gone down even if Everton had all their points taken away. Craig: RE Richard, This relates to 3 year period up to end of 2021/22 season so nothing to do with last season or Leicester going down. Also the commission stated that Everton had not gained any sporting advantage so by that ruling no club had a claim. Tom: Not a comment on any of the allegations against Everton but if guilty points deductions do seem the only realistic deterrent. A fine doesn't work - and I'm saying that as a supporter of a club likely to be punished next. Mike, Cornwall: This is the end of the Premier League as we know it... Everton being punished when Club's like Man City and Chelsea haven't? Absolutely ridiculous! Daf, North Wales: Wow, I'm a Red but that seems harsh, I can't wait to see what the Man City penalty will be. James: Everton sanctioned, rightfully so. But of course nothing will happen to the real offenders Man City and Chelsea. Mike: I wait Man City's punishment with great interest.

Would it have been better to be evasive and try to drag it out like other clubs? "No doubt relegated clubs will have put big pressure on the PL to deal with Everton, but when you consider 6 clubs tried to leave the PL and there was no sanction at all it doesn’t feel right. "Until other clubs are sanctioned Everton will feel they are being used to show there is no need for an independent regulator, and they are right." ......................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... ichef.bbci.co.uk/live-experience/cps/624/cpsprodpb/vivo/live/images/2023/11/17/8d5875e8-ab1e-4f51-bea3-eb98fc33e313.jpgFormer Everton striker Gary Lineker on X, formerly Twitter: "With Everton being docked 10 points it will be very interesting to see if other clubs are sanctioned." ..................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... ichef.bbci.co.uk/live-experience/cps/624/cpsprodpb/vivo/live/images/2023/11/17/62c7e58a-749a-4cef-9cfd-27e3a1f3acb1.jpgEverton legend Neville Southall: "It has been coming so it is no surprise. But at the end of the day they knew it was coming and if they are doing Everton they are doing other clubs as well. Otherwise it is discrimination against one club. "All it will do is galvanise the players, the manager and the fans into one, which is a good thing, but they must appeal as that is what everyone does. "However, if I was them I would just take it and get it out of the way. They are playing well and the Premier League is not a great league from the bottom half down, so we have a chance of winning that little bit of a league. "It sounds harsh and horrendous but if you broke the rules, you broke the rules - just suck it up."

ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/800/cpsprodpb/c84e/live/0fc50120-8549-11ee-82d0-c92f0cf2b2e0.jpgAfter news that Everton have been given an immediate 10-point deduction for breaking the Premier League's financial rules, we asked you to have your say on the punishment and what this means for the Toffees' season.
Here are a selection of your comments:Ian: The fans are the real losers here as always, why did the Premier League not ban the owners who are the real culprits here? Craig: It's ridiculous that financial matters should impact on the sporting side of a club! Joyce: Think it is absolutely shocking for players and fans who should not be the ones punished for the board's failures. Punish the owners and directors. This is a totally heartless decision for both players and fans. John: Gutted at the ruling, I agree with punishing us, but it's our first offence and we have been hit with a bigger deduction than if we were to go into administration. To top it off, the 'big six' tried to form a breakout league which would have collapsed the Premier League financially and they got a suspended sentence. Brian: Ten points is a disproportionate punishment given that losses only exceeded the limit by £19.5m which is a small percentage of turnover. Allowances should be made for inability to sell players in the pandemic, loss of income due to sanctions on Russian money, and loans from the owner having different accounting treatment than dearer bank loans.

ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/800/cpsprodpb/2194/live/0ac59bd0-854e-11ee-913e-f1ed4de8fadb.jpgFootball finance expert Kieran Maguire explained to BBC Radio 5 Live why Everton have run into trouble with the Premier League: "Under the Premier League rules, you are allowed to lose £105m over a three year period. If you spend money on infrastructure, the women's team, community schemes or the academy then those costs are excluded. "Everton have been in the process of moving to a new stadium and therefore would argue that all stadium costs should have been excluded from the calculations. "The argument hinges over whether money borrowed from the club was 'general borrowings' or specifically in relation to the stadium, which is essentially a free pass. Everton's argument is the money went into the stadium fund, the Premier League has taken the alternative view, meaning they have breached the loss limit. "The other issue is in relation to Covid. Everton argued they'd signed a few players where the transactions hadn't worked out. Under normal circumstances, Everton would have tried to move those players on after a year, 18 months. They've not be able to do so because the European market had disappeared. Nobody was signing players in Europe so they weren't able to recover part of their investment there."

'I’m absolutely disgusted with the decision'..ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/800/cpsprodpb/b15a/live/6f4808d0-854a-11ee-99a9-a77cd1df875c.pngBBC Radio 5 Live have been discussing the news surrounding Everton's 10-point deduction for breaching the Premier League's profit and sustainability rules. BBC Sport's Simon Stone explained: "The Premier League have issued a 41 page document backing up their verdict. "I have looked at Everton’s response and they say they will appeal, within that they say the club does not recognise the finding that it failed to act with the upmost good faith. "The 10 points are deducted immediately and puts Everton second-bottom of the Premier League on goal difference. It has been suggested that if there was ever a season where this record punishment was going to apply, this might be it because the clubs currently towards the bottom of the league are not doing very well." This news has stirred emotion amongst Everton fans. Peter MacFarlane from The Blue Room podcast shared his frustration on BBC Radio 5 Live: "It's shocking news to be honest, I’m absolutely disgusted with the decision. "I think even if you just take it down to the main basic level, if a club goes into administration the Premier League rules state that it’s a nine-point deduction. For us to be punished even further than the club going into administration and being insolvent I think it’s absolutely disgraceful. "I can't for the life of me understand how Everton have been made an example of, given other clubs’ financial behaviour over the years."

Demotion? And their case has been going for several seasons and several occasions I believe, depends on how good your lawyers are ...💰💰 And the cost of their defence is almost a case of that doesn't matter one iota

Everton points deduction taken to Parliament by MP Ian Byrne with early day motion..By Shamoon Hafez, BBC Sport.ichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cps/800/cpsprodpb/6617/production/_131753162_gettyimages-1722093224.jpgEverton's 10-point deduction by the Premier League has been taken to Parliament after a Liverpool MP called the punishment "grossly unfair". Ian Byrne, Labour MP for West Derby, has tabled an early day motion (EDM) in the House of Commons which will be laid on Tuesday for other MPs to consider. Everton received the sanction on Friday after being found to have breached the Premier League's financial rules. Byrne also called to "immediately establish" an independent regulator. In February, the government announced plans to appoint a regulator, following a fan-led review last year. Plans for the regulator were outlined in the King's Speech this month. King Charles III said the Football Governance Bill, which will introduce a regulator, will "safeguard the future of football clubs for the benefit of communities and fans". English top-flight clubs are permitted to lose £105m over three years, and an independent commission found Everton's losses to 2021-22 amounted to £124.5m. The punishment is the biggest sporting sanction in the competition's history and leaves Everton 19th in the table, two points adrift of safety. Everton's case relates to interest payments on the club's new £760m stadium at Bramley Moore Dock, which they believe were permissible 'add backs' for profit and sustainability calculations in the 2021-22 financial year. ichef.bbci.co.uk/ace/standard/240/cpsprodpb/DECD/production/_131773075_everton.jpgBut the commission disagreed and did not accept the club's claim of mitigating factors such as being fully compliant with the Premier League over the past two years, the direct impact of the Russia-Ukraine war by forgoing the lucrative USM sponsorship and the impact of the Covid pandemic on the transfer market. The Toffees are set to appeal against the decision and BBC Sport understands could formally submit it to the Premier League this week. In the motion, Byrne requested the "suspension of all proceedings and sanctions made by the Commission until the regulator makes its own determination". He added: "This House condemns the grossly unjust points deduction imposed on Everton Football Club by a Premier League commission. "A punishment lacking any legal or equitable foundation or justification for the level of sanction and notes that financial, not sporting penalties, for far more severe breaches have been applied. "[The motion] declares that sporting sanctions unfairly punish supporters and notices the improper dismissal of extraordinary mitigating circumstances outlined by Everton." Earlier on Monday, mayor of Liverpool Steve Rotheram wrote to Premier League chief executive Richard Masters regarding the "wholly disproportionate" and "unprecedented" points deduction. Rotheram said: "While I understand, and indeed support, the importance of maintaining discipline and upholding the integrity of the sport, it is crucial to ensure that any punitive measures are proportionate and just. I do not believe that this punishment fits the crime. "I completely support the club's appeal and would urge you to take a more lenient approach and consider alternative forms of punishment that do not unfairly penalise the club's players and supporters."

Tottenham's list of potential targets in January could include Crystal Palace's England centre-back Marc Guehi, 23, and Everton's England Under-21 defender Jarrad Branthwaite, 21. American investment firm 777 Partners is prepared to re-enter negotiations with Everton over the price of its takeover following the Premier League club's points deduction.

The Toffees host Manchester United on Sunday in their first match since being handed the biggest sporting sanction in the competition's history. Supporters marched to Goodison Park in protest at the scale of the punishment. The club have said they will appeal against the sanction and have until next week to make it formal. English top-flight clubs are permitted to lose £105m over three years, and an independent commission found Everton's losses to 2021-22 amounted to £124.5m. Prior to being docked points, Everton were 14th in the table but dropped down to 19th, with only goal difference keeping them ahead of bottom side Burnley. A fans' group, The 1878s, have since raised more than £40,000 through crowdfunding for material, with its feeling of injustice being firmly pointed towards the Premier League. Fans gathered in huge numbers outside a nearby pub on County Road, which was closed to traffic, about half an hour before kick-off. Some climbed on bus stops to wave flags, while others waved blue smoke bombs, before the crowd slowly made their way towards Goodison Park. Cards were handed out around the stadium with the word 'corrupt' printed underneath the Premier League logo, with fans expected to hold up the cards and jeer the top-flight anthem before kick-off. Inside the ground, a number of new banners were installed in the stands, some of which read 'Premier League, hang your heads in shame' and 'we shall not be moved'. In a pre-planned move, supporters vented their feelings in the 10th minute of the match with chants against the Premier League. A number of fireworks were also let off outside the ground. Aware of the 16:30 GMT kick-off time for Sunday's game, The 1878 group paid for a plane to be flown over Etihad Stadium in the Saturday lunchtime match between Manchester City and Liverpool, which trailed a banner saying 'Premier League = corrupt'. ichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cps/800/cpsprodpb/80A4/production/_131823923_gettyimages-1814897437.jpg Fans gathered outside a nearby pub before marching to Goodison Park

Writing as an Everton fan and not in an official capacity, Burnham said the Toffees did have a case to answer but the independent commission's judgement is not valid because a sanctions policy was not in place before the start of the hearing. Burnham added that the Premier League's attempts to introduce a sanctions policy in the middle of the process amounts to "an abuse of process" and is "akin to the government handing new sentencing guidelines to a judge in the middle of a particular trial". He added: "From my experience of regulation, introducing new rules in the late stages of a process would be regarded as regulatory malpractice." The Premier League declined to comment but is understood to dispute his suggestion that it tried to introduce a sanctions policy after Everton were charged. Earlier this week, director of football Kevin Thelwell said Everton's spirit remains "strong" and "unwavering", while manager Sean Dyche said on Friday they feel "aggrieved" at the points deduction.

Report By Shamoon Hafez, BBC Sport at Goodison Park.ichef.bbci.co.uk/ace/standard/480/cpsprodpb/1083A/production/_131824676_gettyimages-1815028346.jpgAlejandro Garnacho smashed in a sensational goal-of-the-season contender as Manchester United beat Everton in the Toffees' first game since their 10-point deduction. Garnacho's incredible third-minute effort silenced the fiery home faithful at Goodison Park, as fans vented their fury with anti-Premier League protests following their unprecedented sanction. There looked to be no danger when Diogo Dalot dinked a cross into the box, but Garnacho had other ideas, taking a couple of steps back before leaping into the Merseyside sky and unleashing an unstoppable bicycle kick which sailed over Jordan Pickford and into the net. The goal was the only chance that United created in the first half and Everton will be left wondering how they did not go in at least level at the break. Dominic Calvert-Lewin was the home side's main culprit in their flurry of chances, drawing decent saves from Andre Onana and sending a gilt-edged opportunity with a free header over the bar. ichef.bbci.co.uk/ace/standard/240/cpsprodpb/168B6/production/_131824329_garnacho-index.jpgUnited, without suspended manager Erik ten Hag on the touchline, had given a debut to impressive 18-year-old Kobbie Mainoo and the midfielder made a superb clearance off the line to deny Dwight McNeil. Everton were made to rue their numerous misses as Ashley Young was adjudged to have tripped Anthony Martial in the box and Marcus Rashford stepped up to confidently score the penalty. Martial finished off a slick team move for United's third as they moved up to sixth in the Premier League, while Everton are in significant trouble at the bottom end, in 19th position and five points from safety.
