I think FGR just had the better of things over the 95 minutes. Not much in it though.
Luke Thomas made another good cameo, going close to scoring.
I thought our passing was at times not so hot today.
James saved us more than once and deserved his MOTM.
Congratulations to FGR on their promotion.
I was applauding them after the ft whistle, then their supporters came on the Mem field.
The Nailsworth people had nothing particularly naughty in mind and proceedings took a bizarrely comical turn, when about ten St Georges also took to the field,in apparent crusade to force the Cotswoldian hordes back.
I did'nt see any fighting.
Two games to go,with everything to play for.
Up the Gas!

FGR looked more comfortable and composed on the ball and had a forward in Matt who looked dangerous every time he got the ball. Good luck to them in League 1.

Exeter have got to play Barrow (h), Northampton (a) & Port Vale (h)
Northampton have to play Exeter (h) & Barrow (a)
Port Vale have got Newport (h) & Exeter (a)
BRFC have got Rochdale (a) & Scunthorpe (h)
Mansfield have got Stevenage (h), Salford (a) & FGR (h)
If we take care of our 6 points making 80 we could pip the others in with a shout to 3rd spot.

Well worth their point and congrates to them. We had a couple of players under par, our passing was poor at times. Win our last two and see where we finish, third still up for grabs with the fixtures left. UTG

We are not dropping any of our six points, that is the bar Others need to clear. I think I would pay more attention to Mansfield’s next two games, they could go into last day ahead of us with us beneficiaries if they don’t beat FGR. unless they drop any points from next Chokers of this year are Port Vale. Clarke sides crash from automatic favourites before Easter to play offs gives Joey Barton joy of taking Rovers up at first attempt.

Absolutely the right result today. Neither side deserved to win,or lose. However, we can hold our heads high that as all season, we haven't tried to s**thouse the officials, or play up to the alleged "bad boy" aura around the club.
This nonsense that officials plainly have in their minds about our manager, needs to stop soon because we are getting unfairly punished for petty prejudice.

Are you suggesting that someone's previous misdemeanours should affect football results? No, he's drawing your attention to the fact that they do affect football results. In the same way that tattoos shouldn't affect the result of a job interview but probably do.

A draw was a fair result. What is obvious though is that we need a centre forward like Matt for next season.

A bitterly, bitterly disappointing result in what was a must win game for us. It felt to me like our key players were just not on their game today and we did not do ourselves justice against arguably the best side in this division.
On a positive note (which is really hard), we gained a point which secures our 5th position and keeps us in control of our own destiny with regards to the playoffs. Somehow we are still in touch of third position, although it is looking unlikely now.
All we can do is beat Rochdale and Scunthorpe, and then hope that the footballing gods are on our side. Stranger things have happened..
Back to the game, at the full time whistle I was disappointed but felt that we were fortunate to get the draw. Forest Green had a number of golden opportunities to score and they really should have done. Once again, player of the season James Belshaw earned us yet another point. Where would we be without him? 12th probably.
I left immediately on the final whistle, so did not witness the idiots on the pitch. I can understand the enthusiasm of the Forest Green supporters, but that does not justify spilling onto the pitch. I am also annoyed that a number of our supporters went to meet them. We really, really do not need any attention from the authorities given our past history with pitch invasions.
Fair play to Forest Green, they have earned their promotion by being consistent all season. We will meet them again. Can't say that I was impressed with the language of their chants during the game, or their behaviour afterwards. Not impressed at all!
On to Rochdale, a potential banana skin that we must avoid. Three points is a must!

I think that the game showed that some people were getting slightly carried away in previous weeks.
First, we are a very good team and I enjoy watching us.
However FGR exposed weaknesses.
Their ability to break at speed and use their 2 outstanding wing-backs (Wilson and Cadden) had us really stretched in first half. They deserved to be ahead at half-time.
They also sat back and our passing between the lines often dissolved into slow build-up, especially in last 20 minutes, when they settled for a point for promotion.
FGR, Exeter and Mansfield are the best sides that I have seen and all have stopped us winning at home.
Not being critical, but yesterday was a reality check that we are nowhere near the finished article.

Neither were Gerry’s team when we lost the two legged promotion play offs to Port Vale. The progress nevertheless is just as astonishing and with a different play off system now if we don’t go up automatically we still have the chance to progress through those.

My view on yesterday’s game, initially disappointed, was that we went toe to toe with a side that has run away with this division. Yes they had chances to score but so did we with Anthony Evans uncharacteristically missing a sitter in the opening minutes that may have unhinged FGR in the same manner Barrow had done recently. The fact is we remain in an unbelievable position considering the first part of the season and certainly even if unsuccessful either via automatic or play offs this time solid foundations have been laid for phenomenal future progress.

We can see the man now, not the caricature that draws the negative responses.

Some good posts, yes the FGR guys on the pitch was predictable so why no police in the ground apart from Glos liaison officers.
Anyway our concern is if we don’t make the top three will our loan players be available to play in the three games?
After more than 60 years supporting the gas am looking forward to the last few games for a change.

Just got back.... what an inFuryating day!?
Lovely vibe at the Mem, before and during with cordial rivalry, no matter what antics after.
Congratulations FGR on their promotion. Table doesn't lie, they thoroughly deserve their place in the table.
Too many of our players were off form, credit to opposition on that as they pushed on to us and left us playing too deep.
V is right, some of our weaknesses exposed. Also on another day, our movements might have paid off. A draw fair result, we've scored 7/9 points from credible promotion opponents during Easter and move on to 2 left with different challenges.
I don't expect it to be easy. But, when I last posted on match thread here I was cautiously optimistic.....now I am optimistic. Of top 3 finish.

In the same way that tattoos shouldn't affect the result of a job interview but probably do. No it does not, why was the Salford manager going nuts at the ref after our recent game against them. So in your oppinion refs cheat and conspire against us, utter nonsense, they are just poor officials.

Plus the Vale fans thought we had the ref in our pockets because Coutts was in his ear constantly, they didn't think he was biased against us.
