No one wants to see them celebrating promotion on our pitch in front of less fans than even Barrow would bring tomorrow do they?
2-0 Rovers, Evans and Connolly

No we certainly do not!
The Gas promotion party needs to keep rolling with a victory. We can do this!

Swampy and Co have sold out their away allocation so will be in full voice. There will no doubt be a sea of tie-dye and dreadlocked lefty loonies cheering on the vegan vagrants.
I fancy Rovers here. Forest Grim are limping over the line and an early goal will undo their parked busses game plan. Phil Collins will want to get hat- trick against his old club and against all odds.
Odds have come down for a gas victory from 2/1 to 13/8. I’d love to be there in the thatchers end as the atmosphere seems to be getting better each game.
Come on Rovers. I’m really liking this renewable gas!!

Their arrogant owner is my biggest gripe about FGR, I'm sure that not all of their fans are of the same ilk. I don't want to see them celebrating promotion tomorrow though. The way they have faltered recently, I'm not sure that they will handle the big occassion well, whereas JB appears to have our boys in the right mindset.
I'm going 2-0 Gas win. UTG

Perhaps that’s why they sold out their allocation only once it was reduced.

Having seemingly returned unsold allocation tickets, how many supporters are they expecting to be at the mem? No idea. Perhaps that’s why they sold out their allocation only once it was reduced. FGR were requesting their allocation in batches of 200, they obviously didn't have faith in selling out their total allocation. They also didn't inform their supporters when the first batch was available to buy, so sales were slow. Some of their fans are not happy, as they've missed out due to the way their club handled this.

And in the blue corner we have a wobbly mass of cider-induced blubber bellies clad in XXXL quartered shirts stretching down to their knees who look ready to waddle off to the maternity ward to give birth to triplets at any minute. What planet do they inhabit?

UTG On the contrary, I find much to admire about Vince. Look at the way he has positioned FGR as a model of sustainability in response to the climate crisis, the pre-eminent political issue of our time. Then consider his unstuffiness and the fact that he seems so approachable, down-to-earth and eminently quotable. Forest Green are incredibly well run. I remember people expressing surprise that a club of this size were in the conference, let alone at the top of L2. To the best of my knowledge, he has also never presumed to speak to us as equals, let alone as our superior. It is therefore beneath us to regard them as rivals, and I hope they do get promotion to L1, although obviously not tomorrow.

He's showing what's possible It does make him a bit of an irritating clever-clogs, but I think that says more about the rest of us than it says about him

Let’s hope a member of the Just Stop Oil group that Dale Vince helped fund doesn’t turn up tomorrow & padlock themselves to the goalposts.

Dead ball situations and speedy counter attacks will hopefully win the day for us.
Not to mention wearing them down by keeping the ball.
Anything can happen on the day,but I feel we are and have been since maybe the turn of the year, the best team in the division.
Pretty sure Joe will make sure the lads are in the right frame of mind and the 9000 plus Gasheads will no doubt play their part.
Forest Green Rovers deserve to be top,but let's show em who's the boss on the day and enjoy doing so!
Up the Gas!

FGR were founded in 1889, they are known as green devils, green army, the vegans, they play at the New Lawn which has a capacity of 5,141 & is owned by Dale Vince.
Their main rivals now are Cheltenham Town, but used to be Gloucester City & Bath City, minor rivalry is with BRFC, Swindon and Newport County.
Their best league position was 5th in L2, 3rd round in the FA Cup, biggest win is 8-0 and defeat is 10-0, most appearances & goals scored is by Alex Sykes.
The United Nations has recognised Forest Green Rovers as the world’s first carbon-neutral football club and it was described by FIFA as the “greenest team in the world”.
In September 2020, Arsenal fullback Héctor Bellerín became the second-largest shareholder in the club.
On 2 August 2021, Forest Green Rovers announced a new partnership with clean energy and electric vehicle YouTube channel, Fully Charged and named their pitch accordingly to The Fully Charged New Lawn.

The FGR hate is so embarrassing I will smile if they get promoted tmrw.
A club based on a roundabout in the cotswolds above a large city club with 100 plus years of infrastruture.
Suggest people look at what they have done that we haven't and learn from it.

I don't know how it happened syg,but is it they have a club owner,a man that is the Boss and has the big majority of shares. He has a clear vision of the clubs vegan principles, clean energy and green issues. He has the cash to back his plan ,even at a small town near Stroud.Nailsworth. In a nutshell. Dale Vince has a vision,an original vision in the world of football. He has made decisions to back his vision,so FGR have a 'rudder' He has the cash to back it. That's maybe more or less it? Edit. I think some x FGR directors, after the fcs 'green revolution ',moved onto the Tigers of Gloucester City. I don't know if any of them are still there.
