Todays games will change the table a bit, FGR v Mansfield & Salford v Port Vale.

Salford can still deny Port three points, still some time to go.

That makes our automatic chances a bit more awkward. 4 points outside now by my sporting maths. 😕 We’ll do it via Wembley then!

Top 3 are pulling away, pleased for DC, We are a few points clear of the chasing pack. What better way than 2 tense home & away games and a Final on the hallowed turf.

A win in the head to head though puts us right back into automatic contention imo after Mansfield’s disaster tonight.

If there's 8 teams in the mix with 6 games to go then there's about 40 matches where anything can happen and something will happen. We have a better depth squad than many of our rivals so we can probably deal better with future injuries/suspensions. Although I do think we'd struggle without Connor Taylor, Sam Finley, Elliot Anderson and Belshaw. Barton's team are playing well and will fancy their chances against any one. We should also have Josh Grant, Anthony Evans and this Nolan bloke available for the run in. My hard earned cash is still on a Rovers promotion with a few sovereigns on Automatics.

I agree with you, we shouldn’t look over our shoulders in this form and belief. If we miss out on top 3 our form should carry us comfortably into 4th or 5th. Here’s a bit of deep thought then. Not that I am playing for likes. But this rebuilt squad and this season, rather like Frankenstein monster, needed a bolt of electricity to bring it to life. And that moment came in the extra time against Oxford.

The last ten minutes of extra time, were possibly the most exiting I`ve ever seen, in 40 years of watching us.

Matty Stevens,FGR top scorer, is out injured for the rest of the season. That is a massive loss to them, i do hope he returns next season to play at the Mem. Forest Green Rovers' leading goalscorer Matty Stevens faces a prolonged period out after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament knee injury. The 24-year-old went off during the League Two leaders' 1-0 win over Scunthorpe United on Saturday. Stevens has scored 27 goals in all competitions this season, with 23 coming in the league as Forest Green push for automatic promotion. The striker, who joined in 2019, extended his contract in January. "He is a massive reason for the club being in this position at the moment," Forest Green manager Rob Edwards said. "Our job now as a football club is to give him all the support he needs in his recovery, help him in every way that we can and make sure that when he comes back that he's playing League One football." Forest Green are four points clear at the top of the table with eight matches remaining this season, and with a game in hand over second-placed Exeter City and Port Vale, in third, directly below them.
