On paper yesterday's line up with the 3 strikers on the pitch looked like a positive attacking formation to beat up what is a solid Dover defence, what actually happen was the complete opposite, now a point is a point, if we had played with width and lost whilst Barnet got a point that would have been more disappointing. So chin up fellas, karma is due a visit to the men on the last day of the season, make sure you all bring your voices and let's hope we put to bed this nightmare! Are you Clarke in disguise? Sticking Taylor out on the left wing, stranded, was a positive? By passing the, perhaps, most creative player midfielder in the conference by hoofing it to a young striker who stood alone and hardly ever held the ball, and inevitably gave it up. This left the Dover defence able to crowd out our in form striker who hardly ever had a pass to him into space or to his feet. That was positive? No, it was a tactical shambles....instigated by the manager....and not for the first time, is it. A tactical shambles. That`s exactly what it was. That`s the saddest thing about it; Barnet handed us yet another chance to put our destiny in our own hands, and Clarke refused to take that chance with his half witted tactics.

I was on a major downer last night but WTF promotion is still in our own hands. I think there will be less pressure on the team under these circumstances for the final game and if Barnet don't slip up, we can beat anyone in the playoffs. Having watched the disjointed, stumbling performance yesterday, I doubt if we can beat anyone in the play offs.

Clarke already has failed, he got us relegated, remember? Any half decent manager, with that defence and with the resources at his disposal would have had this pitiful division won weeks ago. Why don't you just go back to the gate as I seriously believe that you are a Ted, although an intelligent one, rare I know I agree with Bamber, ( apart from the bit about him being intelligent ). Clarke is a loser. He did what was necessary to get us relegated last season, and he`ll do what is necessary to keep us down this season. His tactics yesterday, cost us the three points. First half, we played 4 3 3, but it might as well have been 4 0 6; our midfield scarcely touched the ball. The ball simply whooshed over their heads, at roughly the same height as the international space station. It was a complete waste of 45 minutes. Second half was a bit better, but to my way of thinking, we still looked a disjointed mess. Both teams were very poor, and when we scored I was more surprised than anything. We then had Balanta on, and Matty Taylor, ( who could have got us a crucial second goal ) was stuck out on the right wing. It was tactics worthy of John Ward at his worst. In the end, we didn`t deserve more than a draw. If anybody thinks that Clarke is capable of getting us out of this division, they only have to look at Nathan Blisset. Part time defenders take the ball off him, as easily as an adult takes a dummy off a baby. An appalling buy. And yet Clarke persists with him. Realistically, it looks like we`re going to be up against F G in the playoffs. I hope I`m wrong, but I can`t see us getting the better of them over two legs. We threw away a great chance yesterday.

The Wrigley field renovations are looking interesting at the moment. Already getting my moneys worth from mlb.tv. Great value again for just over £80. Blimey, you pay 80 quid for milf.tv? You do know you can get that sort of stuff for free? What`s wilf.tv?

Ah, so they call it R&R these days do they? They do, Nobby, yes. What did they call it in the days when you`d hand in your Martini Henry, and take yourself off for a couple of weeks holiday?

It's at least £70 to go and watch test cricket in this country. Who on Earth would pay that much money to watch such a bland team? Me. I paid £60 for a ticket for the opening day of the 1st test v Australia at Cardiff, July 12th. Think the series will be closer than most people expect, especially if Broad and Anderson can make the most of the English conditions.

Halifax away, for me was by far the worst refereeing display I have seen this season. Or ever. Then you my friend have never witnessed this man in action. I didn`t know Monty Panesar used to be a ref. And why is he signaling a wide? Isn`t that something to do with cricket? Most perplexing.

To be fair, he could have sent Ellis off. He kicked out at the player on the ground, and was already on a yellow. Lucky for us. No Ellis, little chance of promotion.

Yes, I've been to Fenway and would agree. Yankee stadium I found very grand and dignified. People tell me that Wrigley Field is pretty cool too. Think you drew the Venn diagram too broadly tho - I was referring to Mets fans and Rovers fans! Have fun on the trip, sounds great. Wrigley Field is amazing. People have built stands on top of their houses overlooking the ground, and make a small fortune charging fans to watch. Google, " Wrigley Field stands on buildings."

Just seen this...Mets fan having attended the old Shea Stadium several times during a 5 year stay in Brooklyn. Think we are probably the only two people in that Venn diagram. Not so; I love the game. Pirates fan, ( my mum grew up in Pittsburgh.) Will be passing through there, on a coast to coast trip on September 30th, and already have a ticket to see the game against the Cardinals. Already watched games in LA, NY, and Seattle, and have done tours of baseball stadia all over America. Fenway was the best; a real sense of history about the place.

Mayweather 1/2 with Ladbrokes. Very good odds; well worth a fairly hefty punt. I think he`ll give Pacquiao a boxing lesson.

Yes, G Ferguson !
And unfortunately probably a few more who also don't understand how society (eg democracy, jobs, business) works.
He's good at spending wasting our money though.
Yep. But seriously, anyone on here agree with any of his policies or actions so far? I was walking home from Wetherspoons in town, where I`d spent a happy afternoon on the Thatcher`s Gold, and I seriously disagreed with his policy of closing the public lavatory on Glos Rd. Apologies to whoever owns the house on the corner of Egerton Rd.

I wasn't there but I am going to Kidderminster on Monday and am quite happy with a 5-1 win on balance I think! I did think it was interesting that Clarke went with Lockyer and left McChrystal out. Not exactly normal to change your centre back pairing after recording a clean sheet. I doubt it's to do with him sharing my doubts though - probably just squad management and not wanting to play an older defender for 180 minutes in 4 days if you don't have to. Has Lockyer played as many games at Centre Back this year as McChrystal-Parkes have played together? I don't know but it feels like Clarke mixes it up quite a lot anyway; I've seen 3 at the back etc. I've never made the case for Lockyer as a Centre Back - I think we need someone else if we go up, I think Lockyer will be a right back in the end. Lockyer doesn't have the physical prescence to dominate that position but he does have the mobility to cover in behind Parkes when he goes walk about which is quite regularly so I'll take the balance. His distribution is definitely missing though which I think is necessary for a more mobile centre back to have. But it's primarily what it allows your Centre Midfield and full backs to do; they can attack more and play further up the pitch if they know there's cover back there but you're not going to see that in one game; it's about a pattern of play over a longer term. Either way I don't you learn much about your Centre Backs in a 5-1 home win! Waiting to see their goal again, the attacker got up above somebody, but it was at the far end of the ground and as always on terraces, people arrive late and although they are 6'3'' they decide to stand right in front of you and shuffle around to make sure they obstruct as much of your view as possible, so I'm not sure who got caught out for the goal, but I would be surprised if it was Parkes. If McChrystal is as immobile as you claim, he won't cover that much ground so wouldn't be too knackerd after 90 mins. Interesting to see how effective Leadbitter was running at defenders at pace. As good as Dawson but offers more when tracking back. If Kiddy had a scout at today's game it's hard to know what he would report back as the weaknesses that they should look to exploit? Kidderminster already know our biggest weakness. They sold him to us, back in November.

Can't see how anyone can put blisset in for Taylor, the bloke cannot play football and he can't head the ball in the direction he wants Had a mate with me last Saturday that went for the first time and he couldn't believe we paid money for him,you can make excuses for him and say he's not fit but how long does it take to get fit?? Nothing against the bloke and hope he improves but think he will never be a league 2 player and struggles in this league Agree absolutely. I know he tries his hardest, can`t knock him for that, but talent wise.. forget it. His ball control is as bad as I`ve seen. Ever. If all the air was removed from the ball, I doubt if he could keep it anywhere near him. We need better if we want to go up.

utter tosh! mansell was poor today but hes been a great player for us this season No he hasn't. iI think Mansell has been one of our successes, over the course of the season. Defensively, he is good at what he does. Going forward is a different story; he looks about as confident as my wife trying to reverse park the car. It`s not part of his game. He needs better players around him in midfield. Dawson looks a decent creative player, but Monkhouse and Lockyer need to be taken out of the midfield. Monkhouse is not good enough wherever he plays, and if Lockyer doesn`t play in defence, then he shouldn`t play at all. We desperately need another creative midfielder brought in. Sinclair was a massive loss for us. Up front, it`s bad enough that we have to pay Blisset for being with us, but he should be dropped and forgotten. He`s not just struggling. He`s awful.

all i can say is thank you fgr, really must do better unless we fancy the play offs UTG I think a few chickens came home to roost today. I know we`ve been on a long unbeaten run, but having witnessed quite a few of those games, I think we`ve ridden our luck. Today was a poor performance, aided and abetted by the fact that we have some poor players. Monkhouse is nowhere near good enough to be involved with a team hoping to go up automatically. And as for Blisset, words fail me. An appalling signing. Lockyer is like a fish out of water in midfield. And with every substitution that Clarke made today, the team became more disjointed and unbalanced. I`m not confident for the run in.

Bernard are you Thomas Cromwell. Do you fancy becoming Chief executive of the Gas, Nick Higgs would be Henry the Eight. Ok. So I`m Thomas Cromwell, and Nick Higgs is Henry V111. What would my punishment be, for failing to get us back into the league? Let`s all have a bit of a think, shall we...?

Anne Boleyn just had her head cut off in Wolf Hall as a sacrifice to the Skull. I think you`ll find you`re completely wrong there. It was cut off in 1536. And it was outside the tower of London.
