My heart sank when in his first post match interview Garner said ‘evolution not revolution’. The bloke’s a plank.

He's here for the time being. So get used to it and stop whining. I'll never get used to Rovers losing week after week. You seem to be the sort who stood and applauded losers like McGhee and Buckle, I'll leave you to it, I want better for Rovers. It’s this mentality that used to clap off Tom Nicholls. The four goals in nearly 100 appearances striker Tom Nicholls.

Let's show a bit of dignity. BG is the kid in the King's New Suit fable.....in years to come, someone will ask why did we put up with a non striking striker for so long? With gritted teeth, will have to say DC (the so say legend) and GC (the so say dropped us in the s) both persisted with playing it. So did caretaker manager and BG...? I'm still baffled? How did TN find his way into the pitch so often? Without massive, wholesale viterol?? The irony is, in his most successful stint (4 goals), TN has apparently been invited to find a new club. Walsall? Mansfield? Who knows? I've never seen the like of it, coupled with arguably us plying our way at the top of divIII and our most successful year this millennium.. When I think back at the vitriol towards Steve White, Paul Tait, Martin Cameron, Mickey Evans etc, these players were like Ian Rush compared to Nicholls, yet TN would still get clapped off the pitch!! 4 goals in 94. Will never be surpassed.

This new manager has gone up massively in my estimation. Quite clearly he has seen enough of our most useless of strikers to realise he could take him down with the ship. Why has it taken so long? Is Gavin Reilly still on loan?

The new manager will be on a hiding to nothing. Massive injury list, subs bench full of kids and owners trying to sell clarke-harris and the club. Just to top it off there will be f**k all to spend in january and a lower budget next season. This is the crux of the issue. Who on earth would want to manage at this club? There is no firm commitment beyond the end of this season from the owners. No plan, no ambition, no communication.

He can live at home during the week and Mansfield are one of the best supported via the Radfords. We move on. It's obvious who we should appoint, even until the end of the season. We are in a good position in the worst League 1 that I have seen. Surely Wael wants a promotion? I don’t think anyone has a clue what Wael wants. Apart from he wants out of course. This brilliant run of results has come as a shock to him and expectations rise amongst the supporters. The plan was for GC to just keep us up again to make the club a more attractive proposition, it’s all gone wrong for the Precocious One.

Oh look, a "Tommy Nichols is crap" thread. We won somehow. Tom never had a chance apart from the one he put wide. Clarke Harris misses too as does Smith. We are 4th and I have no idea how, as the football is dreadful. This will go wrong soon. My apologies for being uncharitable as am normally positive, but I personally find nothing this manager does to make me feel we're going anywhere. Um..UTG. The really odd thing about Nichols is that, for some reason, everybody, myself included, seems to stick with him and at the start of every game we hope that he'll get some fire in his belly and get stuck right in. Sadly, I think we're going to have to wait until the last few weeks of his contract to see this happen. Best that we send him off to Bath or anywhere that will take him and give the shirt to a player prepared to get hurt for the cause. Totally agree Bamber. The statistically worst EVER Rovers centre forward. He doesn’t even do the basics asked of a footballer. It’s like starting a game with ten players. People clapped him off today.

Maybe someone would get caught once like that. ............... people aren't searched until they arrive at the turnstile so that causes a delay, insufficient number of stewards searching at peak times Couldn't believe the search that happened in front of me at the East Terrace turnstile before the Accrington Stanley game. Fellow in front of me was on his own, possibly in his 60s/70s and dressed smart/casual. He happened to be wearing a flat cap. Steward asked him to take off his cap and then examined it closely, running his fingers around the rim. What did he expect to find....a Kalashnikov...a flare...? Peaky Blinders on binge shaaaaggg

Simple question, where else? We already own a stadium, traditionally we get one of our higher attendances for the first home game of the season, it was less than 2/3rds full yesterday, and a few of those won't be back in a hurry after the dire game we saw. BCC have never refused one of our stadium development applications. Even that insane one with hundreds of flats built in to the complex. In short, we don't have to move. If someone does put forward a plan to sell the existing site and buy another, we should look closely at the detail and ask what they are getting out of it themselves. If anyone was to buy BRFC, they would acquire a spot in the football league, a badge, a squad of players and some staff. More than likely a significant chunk of the debt too. Physical assets are in the ownership of Durr-Wayner Sports.

Please be true. So Dwane Sports have wanted out for some considerable time? Gracious, who would have thought it? No sh*t Sherlock. The Arabs have wanted rid for over two years. They have saddled the club with record debt and totally f****d us over. All these rose tinters must be choking on their tea. I cannot wait until Dwayne Sports Leave. b'stards.

A quite remarkable achievement considering our emergency managerial appointments in the past. Well done to GC and the squad. Let’s put this season behind us now and hope we can prepare properly for next. Although I fear massive cutbacks to squad and budget.

O2O2O2ba, That's fair enough we all see the game differently. Personally I would keep Upson over Ollie Clarke anytime with a good pacy attacking midfielder alongside him. Unfortunately Tom Nichols is the best we have as neither Reilly or Jacubiak do anything when started but do alright from the bench. Anyway its all about opinions and the only one that really matters is GC. Tom Nicholls does nothing apart from take someone else's spot in the team. Reilly scores goals.

I can remember the abuse Steve White used to get at Eastville and could never work out why. Why the love-in with this waste of space? He was clapped off yesterday after another game of zero contribution. Before a game I say to my son, ‘is Nicholls going to score today?’ We look at each other and say ‘Noooooooo’ and we are inevitably correct. He is a relegation standard goal scorer, thank God for GC finding JCH.

Your opinion Bamber, to which you are entitled and yes I was there...were You? No, I just guessed that Tom got his feet in a tangle in front of their keeper, something you obviously managed to miss and that he couldn't even manage a trot to get back into an onside position. Once he even controlled the ball whilst around 5 yards behind the last defender, it was incredible to watch. Maybe the difference is that I wasn't just watching the ball? Have to agree with Bamber, I was watching the game from on high yesterday and Nicholls was his usual abysmal self. Anyone but him would have buried that chance. Jakubiak, Reilly or Telford if we still had him. He just ponces around with his floppy hair, ‘I’m amazing’ attitude and every time he steps onto the pitch we are at a disadvantage. One of the worst players we have ever had, his record speaks for itself, two goals in what, 74 appearances? Striker? He’d possibly knock a few in for Bristol Telephones but I wouldn’t bet on it.

Utterly abject performance but somehow 2-1 up. As soon as the goal machine leaves the pitch we score.
