He was tasked with keeping us up and he delivered... Remember we were second from bottom when he took over and relegation looked fairly inevitable... Not been pretty at times (which GC said said it wouldn't be from the start) but we did enough so GC must applauded... Hopefully we get the summer recruitment right and we get off to a decent start

Did what it said on the tin, and made one very good and one reasonable signing. And isn't at all dull or miserable. Hope he enjoys a drink tonite

A quite remarkable achievement considering our emergency managerial appointments in the past. Well done to GC and the squad. Let’s put this season behind us now and hope we can prepare properly for next. Although I fear massive cutbacks to squad and budget.

Yep, he did.
He did more. He restored our pride at Sunderland and left their stadium with their fans respect.
He done the same in our reciprocal home match.
He signed a start the ground running goalscorer (JCH). And made our defence harder to beat.
He also tried to get backroom staff to work more together.
I like GC. He doesn't have DC charisma, but is effective in this division. I wonder what would have been without him?
He done a job. Can he do one more?

We don't know who recruited the player that kept us in this division.
But if the last manager had that player and the player had the same form all season he would still be our manager now.
We've been a disorganised mess in several home games under the present manager. Hard to see next season being anything other than a struggle with him in charge.
Edit.
Well played Derby. Rounded off a good day.

But would you agree, where we were from to where we are now, the management team deserve the opportunity to take us forward their way as they've earned it?

But would you agree, where we were from to where we are now, the management team deserve the opportunity to take us forward their way as they've earned it? It's a tough question and one I'm glad I don't have to deal with. My sense of fairness says, hell yes the man has earned a chance to have a say in recruitment and give it a go with his own team next season, however, tactically we've been shocking in some games, so I'm not convinced that next season would be any different to this season, backs to the wall stuff, beaten by every serious promotion contender and football that would bore the pants off of Ray Graydon. Hope he's still here next season, with his own squad and I owe the man an apology. Next edit. Just checked the L2 fixtures. Sorry to see Yeovil go down to the 5th tier, as far as I'm concerned the ginger moron with the childish sign can go f*ck himself, but for all of their other supporters, I honestly feel for them and hope they can get back into the League, but looking at the teams in that division and with clubs like Salford around, it just gets harder and harder. Sorry guys and girls, hope you are back soon.

Also well done to DC your inspired signings of Holmes-Dennis and Bonham proved valuable. 18 clean sheets is a fantastic record. Not totally convinced GC is the man to improve our side and his exclusion of Lines has been frankly a disgrace in my opinion.

It is what it is, I'm as relieved as anybody that we didn't get relegated, but how about this, why don't you tell us all why we should be looking forward to next season with anything other than expectation of a season long struggle?

it's going to be interesting finding out my guess is that he goes for players with whom he thinks he 'clicks' - like KJT (from previous experience) or Ogogo (a similar type of player to GC?). We'll see where that takes us - especially if the little noises about the squad not being as harmonious as it might have been this season contain any truth

And 2 great signings (whoever is ultimately responsible for them). 2. But it is mostly dull and miserable. On and off the pitch. 3. "tonite". Really? UTG.

I doff my hat to GC, results elsewhere helped us. Great to have a last game of the season with no pressure.

This management team took us from a relegation scenario to staying up by many places. It shows we have a structure that can stay up

As long as we can keep grabbing goals from long range we will be great!

Bookies must know something, according to EP: ... Holloway remains favourite, with his odds having moved in to evens [for Plymuff manager] , whilst Darrell Clarke has slipped to third favourite with odds of 10/1.Here are the top candidates according to the bookies:Ian Holloway - 1/1Graham Coughlan - 6/4Darrell Clarke - 10/1I try to ignore all the speculation and bookies' odds about managers, but this caught my eye, if you can stand the videos, pop ups, adverts etc more at: www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/odds-dramatically-cut-bristol-rovers-2819631

Most of these are just made up numbers to tempt idiots to give their money away.
