Just one new proper stand would be nice.DC used the word infrastructure when new owners took over but personally,I wouldn't include tented stands under that heading. Becoming tedious now but even semi pro clubs are improving their infrastructure and the EFL must be aware that we fall way below the acceptable standards for disabled facilities and catering. Have said all this so many times so promise not to mention it again other than at an open day once Geoff Dunford told us that the 'Dribuild ' was being extended the whole length of the pitch and around to where the South Tent is now. Agree, it wouldnt be a waste of money to have a low cost but proper stand put in, whilst we continue the 40 year dream of a stadium. Actually we have the mem so maybe 40 year dream of reasonable facilities. Not trying to start it all over again, but lets just turn the Mem into 17000 ok ground. Concentrate on the atmosphere of the development.

I thought I'd try this: thefishy.co.uk/calc.phpI entered results for all remaining fixtures in League Two. We stay up by 1 point, finishing in 20th. We get 11 points from the last 6 games: beating MK Dons, Lincoln and Crewe. Drawing with Northampton and Blackpool. Losing to Portsmouth. Overly optimistic? Probably! My reasoning is: MK Dons and Crewe will have relatively little to play for. Lincoln's form has collapsed. The game with Northampton will be very tense. Neither side can afford to lose. I expect Portsmouth to have the better of us, even though I suspect the Cowley bounce will have subsided by then. What it did show me is that we may well need 11 from 6. i.e - winning at least 3 and only losing 1. What do you think? Better fun than the matches! I think 46 points keeps a team up though, hopefully us.

Well we needed 4 wins prior to Monday, we’ve picked up one of them so a good start. Saturday is arguably the biggest game we have yet to play, bar perhaps the final game if there is something still resting on it for us. Win at Northampton and I’ll be confident enough to suggest that we’ll stay up. We’d probably only need two wins then and I reckon we could get them in the final 3 homes matches against Lincoln, Crewe and MK Dons. Maybe we’d even pick up a point in one of the remaining away games. Lose the Northampton game and I think we’d massively struggle to get the points required, especially when we will have gifted one of our rivals three points. Don’t really fancy our chances in the away matches against Pompey and Blackpool and we’d be probably looking at having to win all our 3 home games just to be in with a chance of staying up. A draw isn’t as disastrous as a loss, but it would put a lot of pressure on us to win our home games, to be in with a chance of staying up on the final day. A draw would suit Northampton a lot more than it would more than us. So staying up is possible, but remains unlikely until we know the result of Saturday. We’ve put a stop our declining form in general with Monday’s win, now we’ve got to end this awful patch of away form. UTG. Think you could be right, I would take a draw right now, but a win gives us a real chance.

Not just Martyn Starnes. Where is Tommy Widdrington? Karim Mardem-Bey? Tom Gorringe? What do these Board members have to say about the most controversial managerial appointment in the history of Bristol Rovers FC? Surely you would either speak out, and resign. Or get your positives out ASAP and nail your colours to the "B***** project". One thing I've learnt in business - if you're not part of the solution, you are part of the problem. Or are they trying to sit on the fence and try ride out the storm and "see how it goes"? I apologise for my negativity right now. But this looks to me like the current Board structure is about to implode. God knows what will replace it. I've been consistent in saying that Wael Al-Qadi needs 'better people' around him and on the Board. But now I dread what is coming to BS7. Not sure that is being negative, its just asking questions of our board, which seems very fair.

Ok - I’m done. It’s been a pleasure everyone. I honestly hope Rovers go down this year to drive the change that is needed. The club is rotten to a core with a thick owner having his inherited cash bled from him by parasites. Tommy, Starnes - please f@ck off. Joey - say hi to your brother in June pal. UTG - again, one day Nobody will take away Rovers for me, no matter how hard they try. We will be proud again, don't abandon the club, by all means dislike everything about it for the time being.

It's a wild roll of the dice from Wael, possibly a reaction to having employed nice guy Ben Garner and seeing his dream vision implode spectacularly, then, going again with another nice guy in Paul Tisdale and it also faltering badly, perhaps now Wael feels that the whole club from top to bottom needs an horrific boot up the backside and an entirely different approach. If B***** is bringing his backroom boot boys, a wholesale clearout of BRFC personnel is on the horizon, and perhaps a Board member or two will go with them. It's going to get very dark & ugly. Maybe TG. They say a leopard doesn't change its spots, but from personal experience I know this isn't always accurate. Fingers crossed as he is a bit older he may becoming a bit wiser. Something has to change our fortunes.

It's very crass to spout untruths with a thread like this, nevertheless after a hellish year errors of judgment are easily made. I think the thread should be anchored and replaced with one of Harry's informative threads on tonight's very important match and let bygones be bygones! He missed the mark completely with this thread. I cannot find any humour, fun or indeed dignity when he saw that he had got it wrong.
Hey ho, shame Shoveler has gone.
I have to say a thick skin is needed in life, particularly at the moment, and our beloved club has managed to separate the comradery we all used to have over every adversity, demonstrated by this thread, which is the biggest shame of all.

Weak line up, negative and inviting pressure. Hoping for a point, not me the manager. Totally unacceptable. Wtf is going on with these managers formations and negative attitudes. Every game it’s can we nick a goal and how many we concede constitutes the result. 1-1 or several against - 1. Let’s have 6 months of Holloway please. Tell these guys rovers mean something, not aimed at the players.

Logic suggests an easy home win, plus we haven't won a league game at Peterborough for 15 years. So, why do I get a funny feeling about this one..? It really would. At some point our defenders need to have a whole game of concentration and reasonably mistake free....please

Usually into our net at that moment! One thing we definitely need to do is improve our set-piece defending. It's been costing us basic goals all season. Surely one of the few advantages of having 4 Centre Backs on the field is that you should be stronger at defending those sitiuations. No there is a lack of responsibility with so many playing.

As our search continues Grimsby have signed our popular striker Stefan Payne. Tiss has off loaded Michael Kelly to Yeovil for the rest of the campaign and no doubt are offering up several others of our 44 pros to anyone who wants them.Hop Hopefully by our relegation six pointer on Saturday we might have a striker in the building well the quarters.[br Rodman attracting interest from Crawley Leyton Orient and Carlisle apparently. Naughty headline, the only striker that would make our position worst than it is, -1

Just seen the team. I’m not buying the game. Best we can hope for is a 1-1. Despite 7 defenders/defensive players we will concede, of course. New rb Emher, Kilgour and Leahy. Surely with 2 defensive midfield that’s plenty. Just having more and more defenders, crap.

I've not actually seen so much of it,so please tell me where I go wrong.... GK is good, very much missed when away on international duty. Defence, lacks concentration and clarity of duties. Midfield does'nt compete or create enough. Striker/s don't score enough. Agree with that Basel. Last night we looked great for 15-20 mins, but the other lot worked it out and were far stronger all round.
Defence is extraordinary, in a not so good way. Not overly dominant in the air, mistake ridden and they don't seem very strong. Its time for a defensive four, holding their shape and concentrating on defending (both goals yesterday were defensive nightmares). This should leave 4 across the middle with one proper winger, one more defensive and two a little more fluid. Two up top.
I suppose the modern way is one up top and 5 in the middle, but it just feels like a lack of responsibility. Not asking for him back, but when we had Ollie in the middle, of course he would get booked but you knew he would be accountable and getting in good strong tackles.

4th in the league to this crap in less than a year. I wonder how Wael and others that disliked the winning football under Coughlan and his battlers, now feel about it in retrospect? Ok then, why didn't Dunford etc give Holloway more to spend when we were on the cusp of something very special, how do we feel about that in retrospect.
