Am I correct in thinking tw stated aim was March start after the latest planning victory? If so how long can it be before they confirm/deny this is still realistic? Surely this wouldn't be breaching confidentiality? No way this is happening in March ( 6 to 8 weeks ) people in the industry would know by now sub contractors awarded hire companies etc you can't keep something this big under wraps

Betting on Bristol City to win is exactly the same as selling your granny. Hardly. Win win situation really. I couldn't care less who I bet on as long as it wins me pennies Over the years letting my heart rule my head cost me thousands of pounds betting on rovers to win and city to lose last season alone the gas let me down at least four times including a six team accumalator by getting beat at home by torquay

Something someone said in the Nuneaton away thread inspired this one, so what was your first ever away game?! Mine was 2001, away to Cheltenham on a depressing November Tues night game! I went with a mate of mine, stood in the freezing cold, tons of Gasheads present, Rovers were abysmal and the game never got going in a shocking 0-0 draw. Only highlight was Kevin Gall clipping the bar! Thankfully I've experienced some fairly decent away day trips since then, because this one really was the pits! Apart from Ashton gate my first away game was millwall away may 1975 last game of the season we sent them down after Jim Sadie saved a penalty with about 10 minutes think we draw 1-1 having since been to nearly every ground in England since several abroad and a veteran of many an old firm game I can honestly say it is the most afraid I have ever been at a football match anyone who was there that day knows what I mean went on a supporters club coach but had to walk back to Paddington as they destroyed our coach during thr game the walk ( run ) along the old Kent road was an experience I will take to my grave

I think we've outnumbered the home fans in most of our away games this season , Woking next Let's not get carried away. We've only outnumbered the home fans in one game in the Conference (Welling). Normally, Rovers fans constitute about 30% to 40% of the gate, although that has dropped to 7% (at Lincoln and Wrexham). See the full stats below. After the home club the figures are: total attendance, away Rovers fans, percentage Rovers fans. (Some numbers below are understated, where there has been no segregation (e.g. at Altrincham) as away Gas fans in the stand have not been counted separately). Barnet 2027 663 32.7% Altrincham 1463 376 25.7% Forest Green 3781 1886 49.9% Braintree 1621 565 34.9% Lincoln 2933 211 7.2% Southport 1202 367 30.5% Eastleigh 2621 996 38.0% Aldershot 3466 1255 36.2% Telford 2860 895 31.3% Alfreton 880 315 35.8% Chester 2936 479 16.3% Wrexham 2608 193 7.4% Welling 1176 651 55.4% Torquay 3755 1145 30.5% Still think those figures are amazing have nothing but utmost respect for everyone who has gone to all these games when can't bring myself to even go to the mem still in denial that we are non league

Departing from the trident brings back many memories went on many a great trip from there in my youth proper days like leaving on good Friday 2 transit load for Brighton on Easter Monday and not getting back til Tuesday night my dads house burnt down a couple of days before so I was wearing clothes I borrowed and scrounged I was the bloke in the away end with a Hawaii shirt on and plastic sandals in pouring rain and high winds oh how I miss those glory days I can't remember if it was the same game that I attended at the Goldstone Ground, but my goodness me did it ever rain. I drove to Brighton taking my wife and children with me, and left them in the town centre to go to The Royal Pavilion . . . which unknown to us was closed for renovation. The rain was lashing down, so I had to leave them to do a tour of the shops, all looking like drowned rats. In the meantime I had made my way to the ground, and all that I can clearly remember was being in an uncovered area behind a goal in torrential rain, and only wearing a jacket. During HT the clouds broke and the sun came out, and I just stood there literally steaming. I caught bronchitis and was off work for about two weeks, and I still can't remember the score. This was Easter 79 played palace at home good Friday we stopped off in Weymouth on way down lost 3 nil I think on the way back we had a night in Havant after an incident in Southampton ( b&b courtesy of hampshires finest )

with all due respect brian regarding item 2....that has made me to look like a complete fool! I understand the club are trying to keep a lid on leaking information and rumours. but with regards to the conversation mr Williams had and said, this is 100% true. I don't want to stir up a bees nest here, but then I don't want to be made a liar. im sure mr Williams had this conversation in mind it was private among present company, and never thought his name would be highlighted on a forum site, so therefore I should of really kept it to myself. but from what I read on here, there is readers who are privileged to highly regarded information, more significant than mr Williams conversation. best wishes brian, and thank you for returning your points. Think you have been tucked up here mate no reason for you to lie every reason for someone to deny saying something he was supposed to keep quite loose lips sink ships only time will tell but don't get pissy if they all start calling you pinoccihio on here

2 coaches making the trip. the south bristol express and the north bristol flyer. Departing from the trident coach house after a champagne reception (of the natural dry variety) and if all goes to plan all resplendent with beards and viking headgear. I too have heard the name Icon Venue Group mentioned. Project Management support for new Stadia and Venues! Now you mention it I am slightly suprised to have heard the same from an entirely independent 3rd party. So helping develop the nou camp and uwe we are using our game considerably

Just to fuel fire Colin was at Yate Town on Boxing Day Carry on So was I. And I had an evening with Colin and a leading planning expert recently at mine. I was also in Colin's box at a very recent game. Its all about opinions, but one thing we should agree upon is that we cannot carry as we are, and being sold down the river is a poor return for loyalty and £1m plus of our money. But hey, lets guess the gate for the next home game and moan when the club is left homeless and rudderless, we already have 50% of that. (I speak for myself, not Colin or anyone else) All very cryptic seems a chosen few seem to know more than most can't see the confidential clause lasting much longer too many people in the loop maybe the apron wearers had a few too many over Xmas

Nothing to do with anything much, but since the two remaining members of Bananarama attended Bromley Heath Juniors and Rodway, they clearly must be Gasheads. So the time must be ripe for a Bananarama Vanarama half-time slot. The question is, can we afford them? They must be charging upwards of £20 for an appearance these days. I always fancied that Keren Woodward. I'm afraid not, Keren and her brother are definitely red. Got a few stories about Sarah dalin and her friends from my school days ( same year as them) they were all West Ham fans because they all were infatuated with David Essex there were about a group of six of them all had claret and blue outfits remember a great night in page park staple hill after they beat Fulham in the cup final 1975 few bottles of cider and a couple of us had a good result ( 2nd base I think )

What a shame; I always liked a night-match at Edgar Street. Their fans were a good, honest bunch. Not so sure many home fans enjoyed the league cup night match in 78

What is so obvious to me is we are completely devoid of any pace their centre backs are there to be exploited can't anyone in our coach staff see this or are they playing candy crush

He`s just posted on Twitter. "More work on my book today! So much to tell and stories to relate." (Sorry I can`t figure out how to link to it I`m not computer literate enough). Make of that what you will. Really think this is bad timing the anger ( including mine ) has been subdued and things on the pitch have improved and feeling around the club is as good as it's been in a long time who knows what will come out but we need to be all be 100% behind the club right now no need for opening cans of worms unless it's really vital for us to know not backstabbing for the sake of it

I've never heard anything about Massive Attack or their acolytes stabbing Rovers fans, like the other poster said they were too young surely ? I went to Primary and Secondary with Claude Williams and he started following the Rovers first. Mj stabbed toddy and a lad called tonks from Filton late seventies in town sure some on here can remember that I know when he got sent down I was the one responsible for dishing out the uniforms in horfield gave him trousers too big and shirt too small also 1 size eleven and 1 size 9 shoe had many run ins with shiny Claude and his brother Derek I am good friends with miles uncle who saw him recently said his very successful now and as they say big in Japan

You must be joking anyone who knew the mob from massive attack evolved from the wild bunch would strongly disagree with you when they weren't mixing vibes they stabbing rovers fans all around town and were responsible for major injuries outside the queens head before Derby game jan 80 I had many a run in with them must notables in princess court club which I still have the scars from although to be honest they were quite even handed would glass women as well as men Jan 1980 - when Rob and Grant were 14 and Mushroom and Tricky would have been 12. Nellee Hooper was 16 at the time so possibly more likely but I'm still sceptical tbh Claude Williams and Milo Johnson were a little older again - but the Massive lads were only kids at the time His names is miles Johnson and he got 4 years after that game although what he got jailed for he didn't do but was stitched up lad who did it was from lockleaze and if you read my post you will see I didnt say massive attack were involved I said who they evolved from as for no stabings I think about 8 people were hospitalised before the game and if Rex is who I think you are ask your mate reg about it I ended up in frenchay helping him out
