Think our owners are somewhat inconspicuous.Just watched the interim Walsall manager Martin O Connor interviewed on Midlands Today. In tears. So nearly was us.Mr Wael, the Colony was promised to be ready for this month so please stop the stagnation of our club and give us something positive instead of this Evolution not Revolution nonsense. GC did brill. Now get us some quality in.Sadly seems Sercs won't be staying so will be an interesting summer after a pretty awful season.

Bookies must know something, according to EP: ... Holloway remains favourite, with his odds having moved in to evens [for Plymuff manager] , whilst Darrell Clarke has slipped to third favourite with odds of 10/1.Here are the top candidates according to the bookies:Ian Holloway - 1/1Graham Coughlan - 6/4Darrell Clarke - 10/1I try to ignore all the speculation and bookies' odds about managers, but this caught my eye, if you can stand the videos, pop ups, adverts etc more at: www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/odds-dramatically-cut-bristol-rovers-2819631Latest odds... interesting. The bookies only reflect where the money is going... GC 8/11 Paul Hurst 4-1 Ian Hollaway 5-1 Andy Morrison 10-1 Darrell Clark 10-1

Amazing to think that we currently play;Sunderland,Pompey and Charlton but not long ago it was; Nuneaton,Braintree and Alfreton.Listening to Radio 5 phone-ins ,Man U fans up in arms about no Champions league etc,so think all fans moan.Up here Vale's new owners have put out an appeal on Radio Stoke for volunteers to go to their ground and help with maintenance during the summer. The close season can get boring whilst we are all waiting to see who comes and goes, will we ever build a proper stand and is the new TV really Black and White!!!!!!! Last year we had the amazing pitch preparations to amuse us,the Colony etc. When FB said yesterday,'Big news coming from the Mem this lunchtime',I got excited only to read the retained list which we already knew about. Don't think the Board will give us any exciting news despite the 'On going 'Confidential' negotiations that amounts to very little I suspect.Roll on August.

The real odds are 50/50.
Either he will leave us (50% chance). Or he won't (50% chance).
There are no other options.

The options are correct, but how have you assessed the probability of him either staying or leaving? In fact, the probability of him, at some point, no longer working for Rovers is 100%. Life's complicated sometimes.

GC enjoying the gig. Biting his nails a bit over current contract negotiations
Doesn't enjoy the profile/public scrutiny, has found it more stressful than he expected, is trying to tone down his hot-headed instincts when they won't be effective
Inherited 29 players. Was impossible to keep them all happy

a bit less waffly than in post-match. It's easier to warm to him as a result

'there's far too many staff at the football club'
spoke to the players on Monday, the staff on Tuesday. 'We're going to take it in a different direction'. Have told those who are leaving that they are leaving. Doesn't want to name names here

would love Leon Clarke, but hasn't been in for him and would expect him to want to stay in the Championship
Ryan thingy the Janner defender would also be welcome. Not sure if they've had contact or not

Kilgour possible future captain. Enjoys defending, not flouncing and smelling nice
would like Jakubiak back (there's a song there, surely) and spoke to him a while back

Alfie doesn't smell nice? Harsh. GC was bang on re Nicholls...he drifts into positions away from the box to avoid the responsibility of getting a shot in. Total lack of confidence is clear. Needs to actually play as a forward player

And now GC is 2/5 on. To me that suggests something is going on. GC now 2-7 Paul Hurst 9-2 Ollie 13-2 Darrell Clarke 12-1 Given there isn't going to be a ball kicked for Bristol Rovers for a few months... I'm surprised there isn't more speculation about the next Rovers manager. The pattern of the betting indicates that GC is very likely to be going to Plymouth. OK - they are 1 division below us, but I would suggest promotion would be likely next year... And they have more fans, a better infrastructure and owners that seem to have some kind of coherent strategy. Verses staying at Rovers with a reduced budget, Crazy Steve, Invisible Man Starnes and Waffly Wael in another relegation dog-fight season. GC - thanks for keeping us up. Good luck at Plymouth.

Stranger and stranger. It would appear that we need not concern ourselves about GC going to Plymouth after all. I'll get me coat. An interesting aside though. Ryan Lowe 11-10 is the new favourite. Bury manager (I had to look it up). A former Bury player, last game played was against Bristol Rovers. Bury are in serious danger of being wound up. "On 25 April, Dale (the owner) admitted that the club's financial issues had been "far in excess" of what he understood when he took over. He placed the club on the open market, confirming that an amount of £1.6m was needed to pay wages, HMRC and pensions to the end of May, with only £180,000 expected income during that period". Ollie 2-1 Graham Coughlan 4-1 Paul Hurst 12-1

Coughlan did his job: he kept us up, ugly. An Allardyce for the third division, perhaps. An solid option if you need fifth bottom. I've not seen hope of creative top-half play. For that you don't want Coughlan or Allardyce. You want someone positive and more creative. But where can you find that sort of manager? Ask Walsall.
