Could we be signing Amadou Bakayoko 22 year old forward who scored 5 league goals in 41 games for the Saddlers last season ?

Sounds like he spent most of the season on strike?

Nichols couldn't net a goldfish in a bowl If he fell into a barrel of t|ts, he’d come up sucking his own thumb.

How much form as a striker did Billy Ocean when Gerry plucked the left back out of Stokes reserves?

Hamer said on Radio Bristol that the forward that Rovers hope to sign is "coltish" I had to look that up "full of energy but awkward and clumsy due to lack of physical control" lets hope that Hamer has got it wrong (again).
A big new forward could be the "Smash" that "Grab" Nicholls needs to get scoring.

If he scores 8 or 10 and creates space for Reilly, Sercombe, Bennett, Rodman etc fine by me

I described Bobby Zamora as coltish on his debut.
Turned out satisfactory, I think.

To be honest I cant remember much about Zamora at Rovers was he awkward and clumsy and lacking physical control ? it seems a strange way to describe a professional footballer, although it would be a good description of Blissett. I suppose that Withey and Devon White looked awkward and I wouldn't mind a centre forward like them now.

I notice that you don't include Nicholls in your list,so many have written him off but I am still hoping that with the right service he will get goals.

'Coltish' implies youth and untamed energy also to me. EDIT At least it did until I performed a google image search for 'colt'. I expected wild looking young horses. I got guns instead. So I performed a google image search for 'coltish' instead. Frankly, I give up.

If you type Amadou Bakayoko into google the worldwebby search engine says Bristol Rovers player. Wiki not going to be wrong is it if he’s updated it himself?
I’m quite positive about his arrival. Sometimes it not just the piece itself but the impact on the pieces around and the whole holistic puzzle.
This is someone to get behind, as he works hard, learns, and gets better as a player.
But What do we call him? Wacky Bakay? Do we chant Amadou doo doo? And then stop before reference to pineapples?
