I have never doubted Waels ability to sound sincere and say all the right things, but I prefer to judge someone on what he has actually done over a two year period and not what he says he will do. Also can anyone answer why we have got a bottom six budget (as reported in todays post) a relatively small squad for this league as reported by DC, when our gates are in the top eight of all the clubs in this league and we have sold £600K worth of players in Taylor and Bodin ? Small squad? No way as we now have 25 professionals at the club not including any development players. 3 of these are out on loan which leaves us with 22 professionals.

Ive never felt so reassured as a rovers fan. Plans for a new training ground. 25 professionals. A very promising development squad. New coaches at all levels. Manager backed to the hilt in january. Much needed improvements to the mem announced. The negative people are just that,ie negative people. But most rovers fans are very happy with wael and co just like me.

Henbury - you have been smug for a number of weeks, as if you actually know something.😂 Clearly you DON'T, but the positivity is welcome. Out of interest, can you name me one scoop that you have ever disclosed. Keith Chimp..? more like Henbury Hamster. Does Wael pop into your computer shop for his USB stocks The game you play is noted. He should be writing for the Daily Sport, his prophecies of stadium builds would be right at home alongside "German bomber found on moon". But they did find a German Bomber on the moon www.express.co.uk/news/weird/583080/Plane-shaped-UFO-found-on-Moon-in-50-year-old-Soviet-lunar-mission-pictures

I must have missed the annuncment about much needed Mem improvements?

Craig played a pretty amazing 57 games in millwalls team last season and could easily have sat on his contract there but he came here to play football. Bennett signed a 3 year contract under paul cook at the start of the season but hasnt fitted in with the new manager there so came here to play. Mensah was playing regularly in a team 2nd in the conference but came here to better himself. You can put a negative sour slant on the signings if you want i just do see it that way at all. The club have already announced new toilets and club shop which are much needed improvements.

Ive never felt so reassured as a rovers fan. Up until August 3rd 2017, me too. Since the UWE debacle, no. Very uncomfortable with the owners future strategy and where the funding is coming from. Plans for a new training ground. It's a field. We have no budget, or any idea what the facilities are going to be. It is owned by Dwane Sports.25 professionals. OK - debatable how many of them are Division 1 standard. A very promising development squad. Haven't heard much about that squad to be honest. Are results that promising? Seriously - I would be interested to know. New coaches at all levels. Fair enough.Manager backed to the hilt in january. DC spent a small amount of the proceeds received from Bodin. Not impressed with the January window, though still early days. Craig is a left back we're playing at centre-half. We already have Browner and Bola at LB, and plenty of CB's. Yes his experience helps. Would have preferred a ball winning centre-mid or a striker. Bennet had some good flashes against Oxford, and looked like a small child against Wimbledon. Mensah? No-one knows.Much needed improvements to the mem announced. Please tell me exactly what these improvements are, and the budget. Talk is cheap. Bit of a moot point anyway. We were told 6 months ago that we would have a full stadium redevelopment. Anyone seen the plans yet? Anyone know who the contractor is? Thought not. If there are no plans to redevelopment the Mem, that would mean we've been lied to. The negative people are just that,ie negative people. Negative? Or realistic? Older and wiser, and seen it all before - or miserable old gits? I have heard a lot of talk in the last 2 years and very little action. But most rovers fans are very happy with wael and co just like me. If you are very happy, fair enough. Wouldn't want to bring you down. I think "most fans are very happy" is a bit of a stretch. How about substituting "some" for "most"? UTG.

This was the Central League table (click on image) before today's game away at Cheltenham Town. Chris Hargreaves had six first team players at his disposal, as Sam Slocombe, James Clarke, Ryan Sweeney, Bernard Mensah, Dom Telford and Tom Nichols all started. Rovers won the game with two goals by Dom Telford, so I guess we move into third place, one point behind the joint leaders, with a game in hand on both.

What are their resources, ethics (in terms of wider community of Bristol fans), ability, mission statement, aims and objectives? For the optimists there have been actions and improvements to suggest that they have good intention, resources and are consistent in their evolution not revolution mantra (although the Dodo was evolving but at just 1/100th of the pace to the rest of the world so was in regressing but till improving). For the pesimists there is just a lack of benchmarks, communication and togetherness. They remind me of a nice who has good intention but only on their terms. The jury is out but the jury's vote doesn't count in this court.

I would say the manager wanted to strengthen that area even if a forum poster didnt agree after all we have struggled at the back this season. Ive followed the development squad and watched them play 3 times and i think its very exiting although several are now out on loan. Bennett tore up a 3 year deal to come to rovers and i would imagine hes signed a 3 year deal and mensah was playing regularly in a team 2nd in the conference but wants to better himself. Bennett is small but ive seen plenty of good small players in my life. Like many on here your permanently set on your default negative setting sadly.

They didnt have to give DC the money did they They couldn't afford either a relegation battle or lose the fans support so probably gave DC the minimum he needed. If Bodin had decided to run down his contact DC would have still brought in players so where's his transfer fee gone, in the bank for the summer transfers or just disappeared?

The other DC said something about hoping to be a top 6 team ,with a bottom 6 budget.

The other DC said something about hoping to be a top 6 team ,with a bottom 6 budget. Pretty sure now he refers to hoping to be just a mid table or top 10 side, talk of a top side 6 seems a long time ago, I recall he actually only said that anyway shortly after SH claimed he'd be getting a top 6 budget! Unless DC unearths another MT/BB I sense we're now destined to be a top 10 side, at best, for a few years with the odd spells of excitement when it looks like we might sneak into a top 6 place.
