It's a good interview. Seems happy and relaxed about it all
I am sure people will point at the words/non-words about the stadium and the training ground though

Henbury - you have been smug for a number of weeks, as if you actually know something.😂
Clearly you DON'T, but the positivity is welcome.
Out of interest, can you name me one scoop that you have ever disclosed. Keith Chimp..? more like Henbury Hamster. Does Wael pop into your computer shop for his USB stocks
The game you play is noted.

As i have said on many occasions, I KNOW NOTHING !. I just repeat ( with permission ) what people have told me who i consider a good source of information I'm always positive when it comes to our current owners as i can't believe they don't want to evolve the club into something better. With estimated loss @ £2m per year they would have bailed out long ago I have spoke to Wael ( like most Proper Gasheads ) through Social Media and find he will answer most questions put to him, but obviously he will not answer questions about the stadium/colony until he is in a position to do so. As far as i know Wael have never visited my shop and if he did he would get the same discount as any other Gashead. I would also make him very welcome I do know a few things which i have been asked to not repeat on a public forum and i respect the person request

I have never doubted Waels ability to sound sincere and say all the right things, but I prefer to judge someone on what he has actually done over a two year period and not what he says he will do. Also can anyone answer why we have got a bottom six budget (as reported in todays post) a relatively small squad for this league as reported by DC, when our gates are in the top eight of all the clubs in this league and we have sold £600K worth of players in Taylor and Bodin ?

Because DC says things depending on his mood and/or for other reasons
The other week he said we had a mid-table budget

It's a good interview. Seems happy and relaxed about it all I am sure people will point at the words/non-words about the stadium and the training ground though Very good. I took a look at the UWE stadium statement of last august the other day and it says: "We will now immediately turn our attention to exploring all other opportunities for a new stadium or for a substantive redevelopment of the Memorial Stadium, whilst at the same time continuing to develop the new Colony training ground." There's been so much negative spoken about the redevelopment of the Mem that seemingly nobody had noticed the bit about other opportunities for a new stadium. I hadn't seen it before I must admit.

Bored of it all now to be honest.
Wael is very plausible and likable but again says a lot while saying very little.
At the end of the day he will be judged on whether he delivers or not.
Not sure I agree that people expect too much in a month when it's been 2 years and 1 since they bought the land at the Colony. Painfully slow going by anyone's measure just to get to square 1.
Either way, there has to be some significant investment in the club's infrastructure soon. Another 6-12 months of saying these take time with no tangible progress isn't going to wash.

It's these kind of mixed messages that arouse suspicion and distrust.

Do you think we would of had this level of investment with the previous owners and do you think if we had they would have done it any faster ?

We are all on the same side and all want what is best for the club. Let's hope all the talk is translated into action then everyone is happy.

It's not pro Board or anti Board.
It's about scrutinizing words and actions and holding people to account.
Evolution yes, but are we talking Charles Darwin pace?
I am as impatient as the next man, mainly because I have been waiting for something tangible in terms of ground development since the Eastville fire in August 1980.

I can sympathise with the argument that they need time but whatever way you cut it, so far actions haven't matched up to the rhetoric and that needs to change.

I wonder if an identikit stadium on an industrial site would be welcomed? I don't fancy that, even if the toilets are alright.
Anything inner city, particularly involving a football stadium and Bristols local communities, isn't easy. Not suggesting they are doing everything or zilch, because I don't know, but my impression is it feels like they want to do all of the proper due diligence and get to something that is right and not just throw a load of money to professional bodies who are keen to bill causes that are unlikely to proceed. Probably wrong, but hopefully not.
I like the bloke and remain glad he is here.
