To be honest the main reason for putting this post across was to provide evidence of non payment of bills which this clearly illustrates and it is only one incident of what seems to be a similar pattern of what’s happening within the club elsewhere .thanks for not dismissing it out of hand. I know of one other supplier to the club, and have heard of others that haven't been paid for months. We're not talking about global empires here, we're talking businesses in and around our community, some of which provide sponsorship to the club. I think it's a bad way to conduct business, but for all I know <in that trade> it's perfectly acceptable. Biting the hand that feeds so to speak.

I made my feelings clear on here 12 months ago and was lynched, but then i put up with the same for being one of the first to call for Buckle, McGhee & Ward to go. Some of the comments on GasChat are an utter embarrassment, we deserve the club we've got when the majority are happy to accept total s***e. I was the first to call for Buckle not to come here in the first place. 🙌🙌 I remember that well, I was never to keen on him coming here, the desperate chase for his signature to bring him here was embarrassing. But then i always believed that Dave Penny should have stayed and been given a summer to build a squad to have a go at league 2, much like DC was given that chance when we went into the conference. Penny sacking was up there with one of my lowest points supporting the club.

It proved that Higgs didn’t have a clue about football managerial appointments and he was left with a large dollop of egg on his face. Back to today though, it seems that more and more snippets of non payment are being revealed. BS5 is getting hammered for bringing some factual information onto the forums and reaction on Gaschat is no different today than when previous negative news was revealed. The majority rather than asking the right people searching questions prefer to go into denial mode and stick their heads in areas where they can’t hear or see what is going on.

Purely a theory, I think there has been a change in appetite to invest in Bristol Rovers FC. With the chairman saying privately “when not if” and “done deal” re UWE, a halt to developing the Training Ground with bills for work done so far remaining unpaid and Wael going very quiet it looks like the rumours that Hani has taken financial control are true. It looks like the club are operating on cash flow only and we all know that the club loses a substantial amount each year unless it receives unexpected income from cup runs and transfers. With the increased wage bill I would guess that the current trading losses have increased and this is squeezing cash flow despite very good attendance levels. i was excited by the increased investment in our academy but without a proper base and training ground I can’t see it being any better than it was before. Our Under 18’s have played on 6 different “Home” pitches this season and are not performing anywhere near where you would expect them to be with the number of coaches on display. For the club to really evolve we need to develop players who are going to become fianacial assets to the club. I hope I’m wrong but I can’t see any evidence that it is full steam ahead on the new Stadium and training ground.

I thought at the time it might be behind Hamer's 'Wimbledon Crazy Gang of the 21st Century' comment (or whatever it was exactly) - built on enthusiasm and little more still odd the number of staff being recruited though, to be paid out of cash flow

This is a kangeroo court though surely? Im sure man city and real madrid have disputes with and refuse to pay contractors just as rovers do. Im not saying its not possible that there is a bleak underlying issue in all this but a contractor saying "ive not been paid" is not in itself proof of wrongdoing by brfc.

If a dispute had been raised then you would be right but there hasn’t been a dispute and very small payments in relation to the debt have been paid.

Got to disagree sightly. The 'minority' are trying to tell people stuff. The 'majority' dont have any information and are asking for some At the end of the day everyone is just talking on the internet. Its alright people sYing open your eyes and these are the facts, but we all k ow what goes on, on the pitch has the biggest bearing on many people view of the Gas. Most are blissfully unaware as to anything going on behind the scenes (and perhaps thats a good thing sometimes) Was anyone pressing Steve Hamer after the SC AGM with all these facts? Otherwise we are where we have been for many years going around in circles, with people just saying something must be done

While foolishly reading the Facebook group page yesterday, I saw a post from someone saying Ed Ware was involved somewhere. Anyone have more information please?

This is pretty much the gist of it Dr F, Posted on Facebook, could be a wind up but I reckon might be some truth in it: Here's what I've been told by names I won't give. that the UWE have come to an 'in principle' agreement to build the stadium with a chinese consortium, former director Ed Ware is part of it with a plan to build additional homes at uwe site and on the Mem ground, interesting news which could go either way depending on whether a chinese consortium sees the opportunity to improve a club or build stadium for various revenue streams of which we would be tenants, time will tell i suppose.

Thank you mate. Don't fancy being tenants again, if true.

Neither does Wael, he doesn't think that would be in the club's best interests, he makes that perfectly clear during the interview that Ann kindly linked above, so he won't allow that to happen.

Would you change your mortgage to a rental agreement just because it lowered your monthly payment?

Would you change your mortgage to a rental agreement just because it lowered your monthly payment? Personally no, but it all depends on what you would save and what you would plan to do with that cash. like put it in an offshore tax haven for instance
Hypothetically Rovers could have a 999 year lease or something with an option to buy. That might seem like a good deal if Rovers were going to keep a decent portion of revenue streams
There are plenty of factors to consider, but without knowing any details we could all make up countless scenarios that are good or bad

A quick internet search shows that 275m of fencing at 3m in height costs £13k so we must either have a big field or labour costs have gone up! I hope we have a big field Aside from an expensive fence, we also have a field fully lined with excessive hedgerows - good for wildlife, but no good for pro-football. Still, it's keeping people out. Does that include labour? the most expensive thing
