I've only used the hospitality in the East Stand on a couple of occasions, but it was clear Ian was in his element and it looked to me as if it was a part of his job he loved - he revelled in it. The only negative for me (and this is very minor in the grand scheme of things) was that he couldn't stop himself mentioning them down the road - declaring how much bigger our hospitality was to theirs. I'm there to watch the Rovers, couldn't care less about the other lot, and found it pretty crass, especially knowing their plans - I guess he hasn't been able to use that line since last year! It's all very well wanting to be more professional, but there is no substitute for passion. Think about your favourite TV presenters and they all spoke with a passion for their subject. Ian was passionate about this part of his job and is passionate about the Rovers. I'm not sure about that, I'd swap Wael's passion for Hani's money.

So according to something from ChriS Brown
"ok he is now stadium manager and something vaguely to do with the training ground"
Last time i checked I am sure Ian Holtby had been stadium manager for donkeys years.
As for the training ground bit. Employee gets new duties. Shock horror to most of us that have ever worked anywhere

Just surmising...............................

Just after some facts where people are up in arms becuase man has job role changed We have a new commercial director, someone charged with increasing revenues. Bound to impact somewhere and some toes get treas on. I have worked at the same place for 14 years. Jobs evolve, people are brought in by bosses to make changes and improve things. Normally how things happen in business. Maybe it has been handled very well, but we cant seem to get a clear answer on what has happened from the ITK brigade

Ok. I will address the elephant in the room. Where did the stadium leak come from ? Brutal! Spot on my friend, esp as CB seems to be a big player in being vocal. Leave CB alone otherwise there may be some "Bovver"
"Where Bovver tries to break new ground is its exploration of the music and fashion that shaped the decade. Starting with skinheads, it travels via soulboys, Clockwork Orange and Glam rock, ending with punk and mod revivalists. The revelation that make-up and fur coats were standard issue terrace uniform around 1974 breaks the stereotype of wide-trousered, long-haired louts exchanging punches. The entire fashion exposé bought new meaning to claims that rival hooligan firms never 'run' from each other. Balanced on six-inch platforms they didn't have any choice. Anyone with a familiarity of 1970s music, both pop and underground, will probably appreciate the story's tasty soundtrack. But it's possible that much of the discography (bar the odd YMCA and ABBA reference) will mean little to adolescent fans of football hooligan books. They will forever precede the word Dekker with Double rather than Desmond. Bovver falls somewhere between a conventional hooligan punch up book and a university cultural studies textbook. Marketing it as the former would be an injustice because it cuts deeper. As well as the violence, the fashion and the music it manages to successfully recapture the early seventies optimism before moving on to working class disillusionment as the decade closes - an era of strikes, soaring unemployment and record-breaking heat waves."

What's the furore? The changes have been agreed with Holtby who is now the stadium manager (as he was) and will project manager for the new training ground. Ex-players will be leading on the hospitality. Guess holtby"s nose may have been put out of place with the less high profile role but so what.

More like some fans noses have been put out of joint you've asked several times on this thread what the facts are PP, but got very little in response. As a result I'm thinking the above seems most likely regarding the source of the stadium leak, things seem equally silent overall a sign of good management, and the fans learning to adapt to that?

Those emailing/tweeting Wael directly saying that he needs to 'sort it out', are quite frankly embarrassing!
