Complete irrational bollocks Maybe Pete, but you gotta draw the line somewhere. Bear in mind also that he betrayed (or whatever word you want to use) DC & his teammates - they might at least have got into the playoffs had he stayed. Most of all though - I'm not convinced he's really that good. He didn't betray anyone. It was us that signed him with the caveat of the 300K sell on clause.

He didn't betray anyone. It was us that signed him with the caveat of the 300K sell on clause.Β Which he betrayed by leaking the clause to the crooks and crackpots who run Bristol Sport 1982 football division. The clause meant that BRFC had to accept a bid of Β£400k, Β£600k, or Β£800 (depending on goals scored and status). None came in though, except the dirty Β£300k clause-equalling bid from our only rivals made possible by breach of contract (confidentiality). It's a bit of a betrayal, brother. But I do not hate him, and I do not particulary like him having his own thread on BRIFF, so I will try to keep quiet about him and focus on all things GAS.

Just a handful of days before the season starts and the big discussion is "Man attends football match"? I should be careful what I wish for, it seems.

The snake has now moved house for the 3rd time after getting too much abuse from portishead gasheads. He now currently resides in W.S.M. for any gasheads that are still interested U.T.G.

Its such a shame it wasnt brentford or birmingham that triggered the bloody clause in his contract. We could all of nodded knowingly to each other that for financial security it made perfect sense and wished him well at his new club. Its only football though and trying to draw attention to his address to harass the bloke is beyond the pale for me.

What did Taylor expect to happen? Payrise, couple of weeks of light hearted verbals and then all settled down. Its his stupid fault, he will have to put up with it until he moves out if Bristol. I don't consider it acceptable that he gets abuse, but even if I walked past him I'm sure I would give him an uncomfortable glare.

He was right to move, there was little common sense for staying at rovers given the difference in wages. However, sometimes itβs not what you do but how you do it and both him and city got it wrong.

Didn't mind him going. Through gritted teeth - didn't mind him going to the sh*t (if they were paying the most money for him). However signing at 11pm on dead-line day - knowing we would not have time to buy in a replacement was a vindictive thing to do. It was 2 fingers to the fans that had supported him for the previous 2 1/2 years and he must have known what he did was going to damage our play-off prospects. So I do not condone violence, threats, making him move house etc. However even his tiny brain must have been able to work out that there would be a small percentage of Rovers fans who would bear a nasty grudge. I'm with Syg - if I saw him out - I'd probably go as far as a "Paddington" stare. He's not worth any more energy than that.

I taught Paddington that stare, I just wish he wouldn't wear that red hat. What he did to Knuckles Mcginty, will pale into insignificance.

I think a lot of abuse whilst understandable is misdirected
Footballers over the past 20 years or more have become less and less loyal and out of touch with fans in a real sense
It is just a job to most whose main aim is to maximise their income and capital
So if you were M T working in an office and were offered instant promotion plus a huge rise in wages and being happy in Bristol would you not be tempted?
As for who engineered the move I believe there is more to it than just to blame MT ... strange that we had a chance to make the play offs ... strange about the release clause amount ....it stinks

I donβt think the player would be able to control the timing of his sale that was carefully planned over on the dark side to inflict damage on our potential playoff appearance when they were in danger of relegation and i donβt blame him he is not one of us he would never understand what itβs about being a Gas head as for landsdown he knows what it means and heβs jealous because he might have it all in terms of a better team and infrastructure etc but itβs only a polished turd the flies are still the same vile inbred scum

All modern footballers are commodities of their agents and their careers turn on an opportunity to maximise their income. Kissing the badge and meaning in probably stopped about 1985 moving on short term deals, image rights, boot deals are all that interest individual professionals. Its an entertainment business FANS ARE LOYAL PLAYERS ARE NOT.
