Personally if he does go I'd be happy with one of Mikey Harris or Danny Cowley (yes I know Cowley has just gone to Lincoln).

There has been a flurry of betting activity in the last 24 hours for Bristol Rovers manager Darrell Clarke becoming the next manager of Championship side Leeds United. At the time of writing, Clarke is now the third-favourite for the vacancy, which is the same price as Steve Evans remaining in charge.
MK Dons manager Karl Robinson remains the outright favourite for now, although his price has started to drift. Oldham Athletic boss John Sheridan is a name which continues to be mentioned to the vacancy, whilst today Evans admitted his frustrations at not knowing his Elland Road future.
It is certainly no surprise that Clarke has started to be linked to other managerial vacancies. Although Bristol Rovers fans won’t be keen on seeing their boss leave the Memorial Ground, the fact of that matter is he has guided the club to back-to-back promotions and will natural be linked to other roles.
He was officially handed the job in March 2014 when replacing John Ward, but couldn’t prevent the club from dropping into the Vanarama National League. He immediately guided the club back into the Football League when defeating Grimsby Town in the Play-Off Final, before securing an automatic promotion spot in League One over the past season.
Clarke, who played over 100 times for former clubs Mansfield Town, Hartlepool United and Salisbury City, is a name that is starting to come with a larger reputation. League One will be the highest level he has coached at next season, but if Leeds come in with a serious offer, could he turn down the chance to manage in the Championship whilst his stock is high?
It is certainly interesting to see that his price has appeared out of nowhere for the role, after previously not being mentioned over a week ago. It could lead to nothing, but it is still a situation worth monitoring. Until we hear from Massimo Cellino, we won’t know much more about the Leeds manager situation. Let us not forget, Steve Evans is still under contract for the next month, so everyone needs to have a resolution eventually.

Would we get compensation? Isn't he on a 12 month rolling contract?
If so presumably we would
I hope he doesn't go, but if he did it will be interesting to see the new board in action and how they go about replacing DC

That's disappointing if he does go. Suppose that's going to happen to all successful people in life. Personally I thought he had an infinity with the gas.

Sometimes the good looking girls are a nightmare to sustain a relationship with. But if they are rich then it's worth the punt.

Leeds have finished between 13th & 15th the last four years. Absolute state of a club. They aren't going anywhere soon, hopefully they will be moving onto their 3rd choice within the next few days.

Stewart or Harris are potential 'continuity' appointments

Whilst I think he would be mad to take and better opportunities will come I think, I think he would be daft to not al least listen to them. Hopefully that would just re-inforce how much of a basket case they are

Breaking news on Yorkshire Evening Post website is that Leeds have made an official approach to speak to him. It goes on to list the other approaches they have made for lower league managers. Comments from their correspondents urge DC not to join their fruitcake owner as he has more chance of managing BRFC in the prem than LUFC. No indication in the report as to whether their approach has been accepted or declined.

In the early seventies, Don Megson famously said that he wanted to make Bristol Rovers "the Leeds United of the Third Division".
Ironic that, 44 years on, Darrell Clarke might be offered the chance to consider making Leeds United the Bristol Rovers of the Championship.
I'd prefer him to press on and make Bristol Rovers the Bristol Rovers of the Championship.
