Chairman Hamer has confirmed Steve Brookfield is our new Financial Director replacing Tony Watola who has been asked to be the clubs CEO. We need a dislike button.

They'd benefit by having someone who can carry on with the day to day stuff and bed them in. I'm guessing that the procedures and practices aren't well documented. He's already had one key responsibility removed. I doubt he'll be there long.

Dear lord, Geoff Dunford brought Toni in only to find him take side with NH and now it seems Toni is able to stay het again. This guy, like him or not, has some real staying power. I really don't understand why he would be wanted ? I could understand a short term job but to be CEO, that is bloody baffling

Meanwhile the old ''Till'' is found a nice little cubby hole to hide away in . . . along with the skeletons presumably.

I thought UWE had proposed a 900 year lease, or did I dream that? If so, why bother changing it? Just start building! Maybe they don't particularly want the stadium named after UWE and want to sell the naming rights to a higher bidder ?

Most definitely agree with all of that. However without the opportunity of the new stadium would we be in this position? We might need to give a bit of credit for that; just a shame about all the other issues. Time to draw a line under it and move on. Wonder what the witty chant will be to welcome the new owners? Got this one covered. After his insistence on pronunciation in the original press conference: Boom Boom Boom, let me hear you say Wael - WAEL.

I make no bones of it, he is not a man I like and I find his way of passing of information very poor. I love everything else that has gone on today and am very happy. Just uneasy on this one thing

Being serious are the UWE going to hand over any of their own land w/o a fight, plus lets hope the land isn't set aside for the car park and NH's overlooked mentioning we supposed to be building that as well for the UWE?

Revnue for the club No more raffle for sponsorship for sure. It's one of those things that other clubs picked up on and has been a success really. All part of the new and professional Bristol Rovers

I think it's just natural when we have been led down the garden path one too many times. I am happy but also guardedly so I totally agree we have suffered more than most, and I'm not putting out the bunting just yet, and I'll reserve judgement until I see the bulldozers in the UWE, but I'm saying to everyone on here, let's take a chill pill and just see what happens, it's what we've all wanted these last few years, a board with serious money, and I've just heard the owner on the way home, he seems a very level headed person to me, I just think the time to worry is if we are still seeing no progress on the ground and infrastructure as promised in a few months time, not day one!! Anyway have a great Saturday night everyone and let's enjoy this a bit more. Without getting carried away of course!!!
