Have we lost the appeal then ?.And are now going ahead with plan B.who will own the uwe stadium ?.utg Even if the appeal is won that would only provide the stadium. There is no current shareholder that has the funds to take the Club forward as well.

Does this mean we will be able to beat Accrington Stanley now? This should be our dream, if they mention this at the press conference I'm in!

And this is what football has sadly come to throughout the leagues
Clubs not run like a business - income not meeting expenditure and only surviving due to football rights pay outs / premier league / football league subsidies etc so because of the wrong structure in the sport virtually all clubs needing a money man to carry on / bail out
The sport is littered with people who have no real affiliation to the club and supporters and merely see it as their investment / play thing I blame the Premier League / sky (even though I am a subscriber) for most of the problems
So if and it is a big if we 'suffer' a takeover how are we ever going to face City fans whom the majority of us have mocked re Mr S L?
We would not be in need of this if we had the right people in charge of the club for the last 15/ 20 years imo - other smaller clubs cope why cant we? We have a huge fan base in comparable terms / enough revenue streams - I despair with football as a whole
Much as it pains me to say it would be a good thing if a substantial number of clubs went of out business completely to bring people to their senses

Can i be the first to pledge my allegiance to our new leaders.
Iv'e always wanted to go treking in Jordan, watch the sunrise on the mountains and drink tea with the most wonderful of locals, unfortunately my finances have rendered this just a dream.

Does this mean when I am playing 5 aside down here in Torquayland in a few years time in my Rovers top I will be looked upon as a glory hunter? I take the mickey out of the Chelski/Liverpool kit wearers in our group - "what part of Chelsea are you from then"?
This might mean people will be asking me the same questions - I will be seen as a glory hunter!
Oh the shame - I`m not sure I could cope with us not being rubbish.

I was deeply sceptical about this until earlier in the week when I found out that a certain director, not known for his discression, had been going around shouting his mouth off about it.
I'm guessing that the result of the appeal is now known or why today?
How much are they putting in and on what terms?
This is an investment, not a takeover?
So many questions. An interesting development, but not time for champagne corks just yet. So much of this makes no sense.

Are we signing Ricky Sheiks from BoringWood? Surely if this is true we will have to bring back our original black Arabs fc shirt ( not very pc but never mind ) and we should sign Chris burkeha from west brom

I can confirm this story to be true. I dont have a source at the club but I do in the press office who didnt let anything on to me that any investment was happening but did confirm to me that a major club announcement was going to be taking place Friday afternoon (today). I didnt want to say anything as it may not have been linked to the investment rumours that were taking place on this forum and to be honest I didnt want to be shouted down like some have who claimed to have a source.
He just confirmed the announcement is about this investment. Everything will come out in greater detail this afternoon!

I assume it may become clearer at the press conference but I guess if they put something in they will want something back? Not sure what/how though?

Football has lost its soul. Happened a long time ago when the soul was given a price and bought by Sky. It's only about money now really. True of many sports though.

Overseas investment is not going to make any difference to the fundamental essence of being a Gashead. The long years of bumbling local businessmen running the club hasn't helped much in any way. My suspicion is that this is some sort of financing/ownership deal on the stadium not the football club, rather than a Sugar Daddy cash investment. Bankers get rich from lending people money, not giving it away.

Wish I could shake this 'sick in the pit of my stomach' feeling. Feels like Mansfield 2014. Hopefully my gut is wrong.
