Wolves home. March 1993. 1-1 with Steve Bull scoring for Wolves and Boris Mehew for the Gas. Hooked ever since. I have to be honest and thought as much as I admired Steve Bull, I didn't think he ever scored against us. I'm thinking off top of head without consult of books or net so stand to be corrected..

I can't remember my first match but I clearly remember one of my first being in my late teens. Allan Ball pissing around with Martyn Thomas and he jumped up and was hanging off the cross bar swinging his legs, in front of the tote end . All the action was up the other end , we were hoping Mick Channon would score. I can't remember who it was we were playing. As soon as I learned to drive I used to take my Dad to matches ( he didn't drive) and I absolutely lived those times with him watching the rovers. Losing to Huddersfield at Wembley has left me with a pathological hate of Neil Warknob though.

It would have been early/mid 70`s and I would have been about 11 or 12, my dad took me to Eastville with his best mate who was, (and still is) a season ticket holder. I cannot remember who we played but I do remember it was 0-0.
The main thing that sticks in my mind is my dads mate after the game saying to me, when I said I had enjoyed it, "bloody hell, you`re easily pleased".

1958 don't remember who we played, me and a couple of mates used to get the "special" bus that picked up and returned the supporters to their neighbourhood.

You're thinking of Bull never scoring against us when Twentyman was playing, in 1993 when Bull scored Tillson was the centre half.

Technically my first ever game was 1993 at Trashton. Father Dude being the South Bristol Sheedhead he is thought it would be nice for him to take his children down there for a Testimonial game against Man United. All I remember is that it ended 3-3. We left after an hour, too cold for the rugrats!

I was 12. 1962, Liverpool 1st game of the season. Went with a friend. Lost 2-0. They went up that season and we went down and history has been repeating itself ever since.

I was 7, home game v Watford 23-10-1965 1-1 draw thats all I remember about the game, other than carrying my large blue and white rattle, and buying a rosette outide of the ground. Went with my Dad and Grandad, Dads side of the family were City supporters, but he still went most weeks to Rovers when they were home. Fortunately my Grandad saw that I followed Mums side of the family and became addicted to Rovers Do I get a long service medal for getting to 50 years supporting this year ?

January 20 1962. Eastville. Stoke City.
Little me was taken along by my sister, (her only ever game), who was taken along by her friend (from a Gas family) especially to see Stanley Matthews (a week short of 47 years old). It was too cold for him to play but I was hooked. (Decades later my sister asked me if I still went to watch Bristol C*ty!!!)

I never got a chance to go to Eastville and I was only 6 when they left in 1986. My first game was a boring 0-0 against Bury at Twerton in 1988.

Octoberish 1993 - 4-3 last minute win over Bradford. 6 second half goals, Stewart Hat Trick (2 from the spot). All been downhill ever since really.
