So let me get this straight, I queued where I was supposed to (I have a terrace season ticket). I enquired more than once about the raffle tickets, made numerous attempts to retrieve one and was ignored by club staff. Yet somehow, I am in the wrong as far as you're concerned? There's plenty of people this morning who are not happy with the lack of organisation the club had in place this morning and according to you, every single one of them is wrong? people defend this club no matter how big they balls some things up

The raffle tickets were handed out to ensure that people didn't queue when they had no chance of a ticket. [/p][/quote] Are you joking? Tell that to the people who waited 3 hours and had a raffle ticket but got nothing.

I arrived to buy tickets at 730am spoke to Ian Holtby who assured me tickets from FGR had not arrived yet so would be 12 noon before they were selling them. I gave my vouchers to a friend who was with me and he stayed as I had to go and ref a football match at 1030am. I returned to car at 12 and had a text saying he got the tickets. So0 went and collected from him.
I now have a spare as someone I was buying for decided now to watch on tv instead

Well I knew exactly where to go- I asked someone rather than listen to what other people in the queue were saying. The raffle tickets were handed out to ensure that people didn't queue when they had no chance of a ticket.
Who did you ask? A club official? The point being that people, and lots of them, were queuing for hours when they had no chance of a ticket. Handing out raffle tickets in both queues without communicating their intention to do so isn't the most foolproof system, is it not? But it did prevent queue jumping which is why I thought they were doing it.

If anyone has a ticket for sale please let me know.
Good friend of mine missed out due to club incompetence, top, top bloke who probably hasn't missed a game for the last god knows how many years.
Any help appreciated!

It would be refreshing if someone from the club perhaps one of the club's fans Director's (stop laughing at the back there) could explain what was supposed to have happened with the 'raffle' ticket distribution. There clearly was some consideration given to ensuring less chaos occurred than did but for whatever reason according to many on here who were in attendance there it didn't work as well as it was intended. According to forum member Rex (who was there and didn't appear to have any problems at all in receiving or understanding what was supposed to have happened with the 'raffle' tickets or in getting his tickets) Ian Holtby (Stadium Manager ?) was in attendance providing the instructions. How come many others didn't understand what was going on. Rex is the only one so far who has been brave enough to come on and post that the process worked perfectly well for him, surely he can't have been the only one can he as 750 tickets have been shifted in a very short space of time !

Take off players allocation, tickets with (cough, cough) legs etc and you have nowhere near 750 tickets for season ticket holders

Take off players allocation, tickets with (cough, cough) legs etc and you have nowhere near 750 tickets for season ticket holders Fair enough, a few will be reserved for people who watch from boxes, players' families etc, but before they opened the doors they will have known how many tickets were available, they will have handed out the same number of raffle tickets, so how do you end up with people holding raffle tickets but no match tickets left?

A. People may have got their tickets without being given a raffle ticket B. people picking up tickets for others, say for 5/6 people would only have taken one raffle ticket I presume? C. Perks of the job maybe? lets take the blinkers off for a minute and have a little think....
