Just to allay some but not all the bullsh*t on here. I was one of those at the front and was collecting tickets on behalf of several friends. I too went to every league game this season, if you believe everyone who says they have been to every game, I say crap. There were less than 200 of us at Wrexham, and if you went round the ground yesterday everybody there was there for every game. So it's farcical to moan on the basis that you too have been to every game.
We know from experience that with so few tickets available that the fault lies with FG not our club. You also knew that you had to queue early to get away tickets.
The raffle tickets were not given out as a one per person in the queue, Dave asked how many you were buying for and gave you that number of tickets. It was done so that when the total dished out matched the number of tickets available, the others would be told there was no point queuing for away tickets.
Where it went wrong, as I told him at the time was to tell people they could also get away tickets at the booth behind the Blackthorn End. That was bound to make a bad situation worse as transpired. We were also told that you could only get home terrace tickets at the said booth. So when I went in the shop I at first just bought away tickets having handed over the requisite vouchers and bingo tickets. Then Kay heard me say I've gotta queue up again to get the home tickets. Straight away she said no, I can sell you them here. That showed how badly it had been organised. So easy to get it right. Not Kay's fault.
And yet again, the club missed the opportunity to make money by failing to provide a booth to get hot drinks or pasties or sarnies of some sort. Very poor.

Where I was, a club official began handing out tickets, and was explaining that they were doing this to avoid people queueing when they had no chance of a ticket, I suppose a megaphone may have been a good idea to communicate things quicker, but other than that I'm not really sure what would have helped. What do you think would have been a better solution?

People love blaming others. I appreciate not everyone uses the 'net a lot but the basic info given YESTERDAY was pretty clear, re where to queue. www.bristolrovers.co.uk/news/article/play-off-ticket-information-2423764.aspx"Seat holders can claim there [sic] seat from Pirate Leisure, and Terrace season ticket holders can buy their tickets from the Matchday ticket offices adjacent the West Stand car park." I appreciate that the reality then got confused due to raffle tickets etc, but surely the basic idea was sound and was clearly advertised.

The biggest joke of this ticket demand is the fact we are getting so few tickets for the away game . We could easy sell out 3000+ if we were given them . FGR taking money out there own pockets

as usual the venom seems to be aimed at our club and loyal workers/volunteers, rather than outside factors out of our control. Ok, so maybe our club isn't perfect, BUT what about 1 - the fact we are in a division with lots of little grounds 2 - that one of those clubs gave us a pathetic allocation, even by their standards. I'm interested to know if we had any seats [info so far suggests no] and if we weren't why on earth are we giving them seats, when they won't even sell out their terrace. that's a digression though... 3 - the fact that FGR will sell theirs slowly, thus suggesting we should have had more. Blame them, not our club. 4 - the fact that having to do all this within a week is a joke as well. Why so fast? That's the Conference's fault not our clubs. And who was it that got us in a 'division with lots of little grounds'?I take my hat off to the loyal workers and volunteers, they deserve a lot of credit. I'm in no doubt though that a club with the supporter base we have should be managed far more efficiently and professionally than we see. that is why I carefully wrote what I wrote. The board are to 'blame'; for us being in this divisions, but the Board are not 'to blame' for FGR having a tiny stadium etc, and our staff and vols are certainly NOT to 'blame' for there being far more gasheads than there are tkts.

Now this is getting confusing.
Did anyone with a raffle ticket not obtain a match ticket?

What do you think would have been a better solution? It's quite simple really. One organised queue of people at a predetermined location clearly communicated and signposted, raffle tickets (or something to that effect) then handed out to people at the start of the queue from 11am onwards and move along until the 600, or however many tickets were available, ran out. Those beyond that point then informed them that the tickets have sold out and thank them for their loyal support.

The club were never going to please everyone! In my opinion, the 1st leg should have been next Sunday. The timescales for getting things organised are too tight! Time to get resourceful Gasheads and head to FGR when they go on general sale!!!They're already on general sale, some of our lot have already been to their ground got tickets from FGR this morning, no questions asked or address required. They are selling 3 tickets per person. If you want tickets get up there as soon as you can, come on lets ram the place out with Gas.

Touch of confusion? No one knew where exactly to go and there were no club officials on hand to clarify. The club stated that tickets would go on sale from midday yet seemingly handed out raffle tickets to people in both queues earlier on in the morning and failed to communicate this. It was a really poor way of managing the situation, and it's certainly not the first time we've said that.
Well I knew exactly where to go- I asked someone rather than listen to what other people in the queue were saying. The raffle tickets were handed out to ensure that people didn't queue when they had no chance of a ticket.
How dare you bring accuracy, listening skills, and information into this argument! Bottom line is this. some people in life are accurate people, who value accurate information. They tend to be the ones vaguely happy. Others don't. They tend to be the ones always unhappy and always wanting to blame others. Whingers gonna whinge. It's here - it honestly is - www.bristolrovers.co.uk/news/article/play-off-ticket-information-2423764.aspx#KQgoq7uRdLkJoOpD.99

Given how many times they have moved the goalposts so far, especially re internet sales, I get the feeling they are finding out all the little tricks of the Corgi trade.

Listening skills didn't come into the equation this morning due to the fact that no one at the club was around to provide communication and direct people to the correct place. 'Accurate' information wasn't provided.

I enquired more than once about the raffle tickets, made numerous attempts to retrieve one and was ignored by club staff. Yet somehow, I am in the wrong as far as you're concerned? There's plenty of people this morning who are not happy with the lack of organisation the club had in place this morning and according to you, every single one of them is wrong?

Games attended (especially away) should be taken into account where priority is concerned, of course it should. Consistent, season long away travel is up there with STH IMO.
But anyway, I'll be there Tuesday morning all in good time for a home ticket. Hopefully it'll be properly organised and nothing like the madness we have been hearing about on here & social sites the last few hours.

Surely whatever happened fans who didn't get tickets would be disappointed? At least fans still have a chance of getting them directly from FGR, or just sitting back and watching it on the box with a pint or two.
