If he's playing chess, can you suggest what a winning position is?
(I can't)

so here's a bit of wild speculation...... NH is a very straight-forward and straight-talking sort of a chap. Maybe even minor bull in china shop tendencies. GD is, as per this thread, perceived as crafty or manipulative or less straight-forward GD gets his own way that way, and doesn't like being rail-roaded, and NH picks up on his wriggling and discomfort. With high stakes at the moment (mainly the stadium, but a bit with promotion too), NH doesn't want any additional risk, and so things become more tense.... I would imagine Higgs sweats a bit too being a bit on the "large" size

Don't forget Geoffs book. Oh, he won't let us. Whatever my opinions of the guy, he's a canny operator for sure & I can't help but admire that in him. He is playing chess. We shall see how this drama plays out. I was just talking to the Mrs saying that this clubs story would make a fantastic soap opera. It really would. Higgs as JR or is he Bobby Ewing ? I see Higgs as more of a Cliff Barnes type, and surely Geoff has to be JR! Honestky, Don't you think it would make for a good soap ? I seem to remember a soap based on a football club but can't remember the name. I think it has mileage. Higgs as Digger Barnes pmsl. I love that. Quality

I can't see any mileage in a GD book, unless he self-publishes. Books about Geoff Bradford and Harold Jarman, and Rovers' history, don't make money...all's well if they break even! I can't see it selling more than a few dozen copies.

I expect it'll be an e-book, they are relatively cheap to publish. GD's never been keen on spending too much of his own money!

1) If there was I can't see it selling more than a few dozen copies as others have suggested 2) Just how much damage could a book do to. BRFC & the Dunford name

More importantly whose going to play Geoff in the inevitable big screen adaptation. I go for Eddie Redmayne.

Does anyone really think there is a book? Are you calling Mr D a liar? No evidence of that unlike the current Chairman.

Does anyone really think there is a book? Dunford's Diaries.Shouldn't be too much trouble with a minor change to the old signs to save on advertising. Probably some old headed invoices lying around to use for the font on the cover. Couldn't see this mentioned on this thread. It must have been suggested before though? Apols if it has.

I'd buy it. And I bet many would on here, if only to read between the lines!
