No. GD likes pushing everyone's buttons & people have fallen hook, line & sinker for this Shame - I was really looking forward to reading about the transformation of the milk delivery industry in the Westcountry from the mid-80s onwards. I heard that Nick Rippington was writing it with him.

Does anyone really think there is a book? No. GD likes pushing everyone's buttons & people have fallen hook, line & sinker for this CGH ~ I cannot believe you would think that GoD would do anything like that to wind people up and divide the fan base further..... Of course if he did write such a book then people would be obliged to respond in kind. And knowing Nick's previous actions that could get quite tasty. Whatever happened to Denis Dunford's vision of unity and all in this together?

I just think GD knows exactly what to say to get people to bite, think he has done it again. Pity as if it was about Rover's struggles over the years I would love to read it, would give some balance to the rumours and 'people in the know' brief details we get to live on.

But winding up does cause division to continue unfortunately ~ you can see that most days on the forums... I totally agree with you CGH that it would be interesting to get a perspective of how GoD viewed it from his side ~ it might illustrate how things became so entrenched and divided. If it is a wind up then it is a shame but also a bit silly!

In fairness to Bubbles he hasn't been the centre of attention for fully 15 minutes and that'll be very distressing for him.

since you asked........I see no reason for you to be rude just because you know 3 people who are banned from Rovers, nor from the fact that the 3 don't go on about it
I suppose banning is one way of dealing with people who are being rude, when the people don't respond to it being pointed out. Its one of the options that the club has left. My own suspicion, grounded in nothing more than what I've read on hear, is that isn't far off what happened (in the club's view) with Mr Spencer. But that's just an opinion, and that wouldn't cause me to want to be rude to or about him

It's pretty obvious that the pair had, erm, very different styles of management, if one can say that without offending the Geoff fan club.

Denis despaired of geoff's antics when he was alive and is probably looking down in amazement even now. poor taste. Why? - A different way of doing things - Denis did things his way which was calculated and 'safe' and Geoff's way was so different - but Denis would be amazed and dissapointed that so many are critical of Geoff now.

I think Denis and Geoff's familial relationship deserves more respect than to pretend to know what each thought of each other though.
