Applying a much narrower analysis, I hear the chicken was a little dry and the cheesecake was a huge disappointment. It seems the Dunford party may have had a lucky escape.

...or GD threw stones at NH in the carpark. Or Geoff publically disassociated himself from the abject performance of the board for the last 2 years? Not sure how 'straight talking' Nick is, Twentyman struggled a bit when interviewing him about Sainsbury's, there's still a bit of a discrepancy between what he's saying and what Kevin Spencer is saying (I have no idea which version is more accurate though) and wasn't Nick Chairman when we were all told to go to Whadden Road to choose seats for the following season? hmmm.....fair and pertinent points I think. Fortunately, speculation can't be undermined with facts, it still stands up as unfounded speculation

Copied from Brian Seymour smith Hi Not an excuse but it would be wrong of me to discuss financial implications of the club before this has been discussed at the AGM next , Tuesday. For those who are not shareholders, there is always an open session afterwards where all fans can come in and ask questions. As to Geoff, I agree we owe him and his family our sincere gratitude for the support they have given the club over a great many years. I have no idea why he was not invited and disappointed. The club needs to unite as we continue to move forward.. including 3 more points tonight! best wishes Brian
ta for posting KP. I always want to call him BS Smith, but when he does post it is often a bit helpful - like here, where he's at least acknowledged it - so that's more a reflection of me than of him probably

I find day-to-day life at The Mem to be more like an episode from Wolf Hall or The Archers.
I think that's how most things are run - the Cabinet office, the EU, BRFC, village cricket club, whatevs.....
(though usually with less murder than Wolf Hall )

You've obviously never sat on the committee of a cricket club then

Somebody leaks a copy of a writ to the B Post, a Director leaves shortly afterwards and as his loans repaid at what it appears great expense to the club, said Director then makes it know he intends writing a book about his time at the club, is this really as one sided as the usual posters on here with their hidden agendas are trying to make out?

I agree Seth. Lets make it a pissing competition, because lets be honest, this is exactly what it is. That's the way, just ignore it as it doesn't matter eh. I hope you never have a friend or family member banned or mistreated. My experience of this kind of thing is that people don't care until they are directly affected & effected. Hope your luck carries you through

In my humble opinion, this really is a pissing competition, but half the competitors have empty bladders.
Did he get refused an invite or did he turn one down.......not at all bothered in either - or any other other scenario
Valentines ball is just an over charged school disco anyway..but with a worse DJ no doubt

School boyish indeed Don't forget Geoffs book. Oh, he won't let us. Whatever my opinions of the guy, he's a canny operator for sure & I can't help but admire that in him. He is playing chess. We shall see how this drama plays out. I was just talking to the Mrs saying that this clubs story would make a fantastic soap opera. It really would. Higgs as JR or is he Bobby Ewing ?

I see Higgs as more of a Cliff Barnes type, and surely Geoff has to be JR!
