When it comes to Rovers, pessimism is a form of self preservation, a tool to soften the blow of disappointment.
With that in mind, given our number of injuries and appalling home record, I don't think we'll get anything from this game. I can't see past a 0-3 thumping.
Sincerely hope I'm wrong.

We have played Wigan Athletic 28 times - W10, D7 & L11, Biggest win 0-5 & 5-0, biggest loss 4-0, all 7 draws were 0-0 or 1-1... We have not beat them at home since 1998 when we won 3-2, they started the season with a minus points deduction.. Wigan were founded in 1932 are known as the Latics and play at the DW Stadium which has a capacity of 25,138.. Manager Shaun Maloney is 40 & played his 441 career games for Scotland, Celtic, Aston Villa, Wigan & Hull City, scoring 86 goals. Wigan's main rivals are Bolton & Man.City, they also have other local rivalries with Preston, Blackburn Rovers, Oldham, Blackpool & Rochdale. Wigan are in good form and BRFC will do well to come away with a point today, here's hoping for a 1-1 draw... upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/4/47/Bristol_Rovers_F.C._logo.svg/200px-Bristol_Rovers_F.C._logo.svg.png V upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/4/43/Wigan_Athletic.svg/180px-Wigan_Athletic.svg.png

Bristol Rovers loan man Tristan Crama has returned to parent club Brentford for treatment after picking up an injury in training, Joey B***** has confirmed. Bristol Rovers recruited young Frenchman Crama during the summer transfer window, bringing him in on loan from Brentford. Since arriving, he’s been a regular for B*****, starting five consecutive games after remaining an unused substitute on the opening day. Joey B***** admitted ‘it’s not great news’ on the 21-year-old, further thinning B*****’s ranks. Here’s what he had to say: “The scan has come back and it’s not great news. He’s got a bit of an issue with a tendon". He’s going to go back to Brentford to get treated on that. It’s a bit of a blow, and we think he has picked it up in training on Friday.” It was said earlier this week that he could be out for a few weeks, but B***** and co will now face a wait to see just when Crama comes back to the Memorial Stadium. i2-prod.bristolpost.co.uk/incoming/article8630869.ece/ALTERNATES/s810/3_JMP-Swansea-City-v-Bristol-Rovers_ac_073JPG.jpg

The bookies are more optimistic (well the weight of money waged leads the bookies to set the following odds): Gas 5-4 Draw 2-1 Wigan 5-2 Rovers looking for only their second home win in the league since January 2nd. So 5-4 looks a bit tight. Both teams similarly inconsistent. Wigan DWLLW Gas WLLDW Wigan to win or draw 4-6, or Wigan to win (draw no bet) at at 5-4 look like 'value'. Don't bet if you can't afford to lose, when the fun stops, stop etc etc.

Liking the negativity pessimism start to the thread, as that's a cosy place for me as much as you.....but it won't surprise you that I put two fingers up to convention, get myself out of comfort zones and look forward to this encounter with thoughts of a positive display and possibly, nay probably (according to bookies, see above) of a win....
The sun's out. May be for the last time in a while. Start today, ladies and gentlemen will commence in Town. We haven't surrendered Towns establishments on match day, so it'll be good old town and up A38 til we drown.
A good day ahead. Some players need some confidence. Absolutely love CT, his return hasn't really hit the accolades he deserves....he could've picked any club, he chose us. We chose him. There's reasons for this, mainly because we're amazing fans (obviously, that was in his head foremost) and I'm sure now Garlic muncher has a problem with his frog leg, he'll feature more.
I'm predicting 2-1 win with a CT goal. I might even pop an English £ sterling on it as that's probably gambling irresponsibly.
Good luck with your predictions, expectations, hopefulness and day....safe journeys everyone UptheGas!

Depending on how Wigan set up, if they come to play football we could get a draw 1-1. If they come to clog and kick lumps, I see them winning 0-3. We don't like it up us these days.....

Gas are starting to go through the gears, improving week on week and providing they avoid an early ‘sucker’ goal.
JeffNz you are way tooooo pessimistic predicting 3-0 to Wigan and Bluetornados, toooooo negative by hoping for a draw.
Whereas o2o2bo2ba, I reckon your on the money and I agree Gas to win on a balmy Saturday afternoon.
Signing off from Toteend4 who are now minus 1 since the last home game RIP Mike from Toteend3 UTG

I can't listen to it, Brookman sounds like his mouth is full of food, it's terrible.
