With the team playing like hairless chickens akin to Samson losing his strength, and namesake James brother of Jesus dropped. Plus a sidelined midfielder, who’s first name just happens to be the same as the river in which Jesus was baptised in.
So do we keep the faith in ‘Joey we believe’ well for my money - absolutely, he’s still learning his trade, and he is the best hope we have had for many a year. However judging by the post match sentiments on the match thread not all of you agree.

He uses upper league formations, game management is poor and he will not have the budget to bring in players that have the skills he wants. We could be like Yeovil with loans. Each season a new team. We really need to stop the rot and we saw how he was when we had the relegation. I can see him walking in all honesty. We need someone who can build a team, our team and not full of loans, that go back end of season or before, like Thomas and we don’t know what happened there. Seems a.lot are happy with temporary wins when we need a real team, one that can grow together

I am a sinner, like us all but I try to write with honesty and integrity, sometimes it goes wrong but because I allow emotion to get the better of me. I’m just a rovers fan who wants the best for our club and not live in a fantasy built upon foundations of sand…,with tents on it 😂 😂

When baptised in Natch on natchday, it hardly matters a hoot !
Bristol Rovers should always be more than just 90mins of football.

All of our local guys sacked or moved on, we have had a virtual takeover in my eyes with Wael giving over day to day responsibilities to B***** and his group. It would be very welcome to see Wael at a game and even report any updates or just to stay in touch. I find it disconcerting tbh as we could, potentially, be in big trouble if things go tits up as we seem to have put everything into JB and not factored in what could happen, if/when he leaves. His lofty ambition is nice, in a way but unrealistic in my view. As uncle Epping says, we are always listening to him and excuses, blaming the players for his team selection and tactics is poor, even by B***** standards. I feel something has happened, maybe prior to Thomas being recalled as we just do not even resemble the team who was a high press and decent to watch team. I really do get the feeling that we have a problem/s and that the players, maybe, are not playing for the gaffer but that is supposition on my part as i cannot explain just how bad we are, now. We are in terrible form, regardless of position. Over to you Joe

And this, more than anything, is why the club will never achieve anything in our lifetimes. To supporters of most club, it is everything, a focal point of the town and community. For our fans, it’s just an excuse to go on the sauce. We might be passionate but do any of us actually care about Rovers progression?

It got us precisely nowhere.

Quote from their manager:- Schumacher said: "I think it's important we do try and use the loan market. Sometimes it's not possible to bring in the players you want to bring in permanently because we haven't got the spending power the same as the other teams in this division.

Quick answer, yes they could but, after reading Holloway books, he has Plymouth on another level to us and it seems well founded. More money, decent stadium but my opinion on relying on loans is that it is not a true representation of the club and it can go wrong as we saw, with Thomas. That was just one player and look how much fuss it created. I just think loans fill a purpose but having 5 seems way too many. Just my opinion BG. Just a fan who thinks loans are not a great way to build a strong and close knit team

Bath, I can only admire you for your ability to keep talking sense on here to many who will not listen to sense. Your consistency is a lesson to all, especially to those who are most active on here when downturns(playing and administration) occur.

We seem to be back where we were but with a different clique, as always hope to be proved massively wrong and always apologise if so. I don’t hide, not unless someone gets personal and throws insults that no normal person would. Imagine having a go at someone like our Owen Nick, for the meds he is taking, anyway, i digress. We have less capacity and not because we have to but for “comfort”, sorry but i do not get that, it’s very odd, especially when we are looking for better income

I wasn’t aware we were arguing, just have a different opinion is all and BG can speak, very well, for herself.

I am still very much ‘half glass full’ However, I just hope, that once the fransfer business is complete, JB will embrace the players he believes can achieve the play offs and get our team back to a winning mentality.
Otherwise, It could rapidly become half glass empty and a good point made by Trymer today, when asking the question’ how does the existing players feel when JB openly states that in his opinion that he needs to bring in half a dozen additional players.
Well it’s certainly not going to enbelish positive team spirit, if I was precived to be not good enough then I could quite easily do no more than the bare minimum.

I'm not sure why people make it sound as though the players are training in the middle of a building site, the facilities which are there are of a good standard and meet the requirements of the manager and players. It is not unusual for further planned development to be put on hold when the financial climate or prioities change.

I have an App called FOTMOB.Every time Rovers score it pings but yesterday the Gong kept sounding meaning we'd conceded yet again. At the end you get a Ref's whistle. I was watching Colyton Res who played Elmore thirds from Tiverton.Ref never ran at all and was very late coming out for the second half and was the oldest ref I have ever seen but did ok not taking any dissent. So pleased I didn't go to Morecambe and hope next time I get less Gongs but a lot more pings. Match sponsored by a local plumbing firm for £20 which means they get a free cup of tea at HT and a Beer at the end and they choose the M O M.Attendance was 52.Club linesmen.Loved it.

We got promoted and are mid table, I would have taken that at beginning of the season.
The main problem are the jek and Hyde performances, if we could be slightly good or slightly bad and not brilliant or abject there wouldnt be so much negativity.
I just want the team to be as prepared for next season as possible and will go with the flow for the rest of this season.

I have never said it’s not an upgrade nor fit for purpose but i have questioned the changes and seeming waste of money if we are to change it
