We aren't totally back where we were, as the training ground is under Wael's ownership, rather than us renting it. I'm not sure why people make it sound as though the players are training in the middle of a building site, the facilities which are there are of a good standard and meet the requirements of the manager and players. It is not unusual for further planned development to be put on hold when the financial climate or prioities change. I have never said it’s not an upgrade nor fit for purpose but i have questioned the changes and seeming waste of money if we are to change it Apologies, I didn't get that when you described it as "stopped and unfinished".

A few licks of paint and an unfinished and seemingly stopped training facility are not exactly massive upgrades. We seem to be back where we were but with a different clique, as always hope to be proved massively wrong and always apologise if so. I don’t hide, not unless someone gets personal and throws insults that no normal person would. Imagine having a go at someone like our Owen Nick, for the meds he is taking, anyway, i digress. We have less capacity and not because we have to but for “comfort”, sorry but i do not get that, it’s very odd, especially when we are looking for better income We aren't totally back where we were, as the training ground is under Wael's ownership, rather than us renting it. And we could debate the other aspects of it that you’ve mentioned but this has been gone over so many times there’s really no point. But there is something which I wonder whether anyone else will be brave enough to comment on. A few months ago, after Oscar passed away, someone posted a lovely clip of a video showing him and his wife at the training ground. How many did the same as me and watched as the camera panned around the beautiful green grass with the goal posts and pitches marked out and the other football paraphernalia in the background and thought to themselves “boy that training ground does look good” ? And then had a big surprise when DC came into view and we realized the video had been made quite a few years ago and was shot at the Cribbs ground.

View AttachmentDon`t think there`s much careful consideration gone into this idea. We`ll now have a dozen horses and two dozen dogs defecating all over the pitch. That`ll be far worse i m h o.

Really No need to apologise. I like being challenged and exchange views with all other types of opinion. You certainly do that

When baptised in Natch on natchday, it hardly matters a hoot ! Bristol Rovers should always be more than just 90mins of football. And this, more than anything, is why the club will never achieve anything in our lifetimes. To supporters of most club, it is everything, a focal point of the town and community. For our fans, it’s just an excuse to go on the sauce. We might be passionate but do any of us actually care about Rovers progression? Says the post with the "DRINK" avatar!? Been through all that focal point and community stuff on other threads....this isn't the club I recognise. But I accept I'm only one person. Community to me doesn't mean the treatment of staff and some fans by marginalisation, so we've been there and done that. As I've posted elsewhere, everyone consumers their football differently, some get more involved than others, so it's unfair for the post to form judgement without further information and history - in essence you have no idea sir on the aspirations of most GasHeads let alone mine..

Going on the same timescale we’d have had a new stand in 2020…

There are signs all round the perimeter fence saying NO PHOTOGRAPHS. So just stood there and watched for 5 minutes and security staff started to walk towards us. I suspect not to offer us a cup of morning coffee! Don’t want fans to see too much then! I have to say not over-friendly. But it looks a decent stadium and so it should considering it’s cost. UTG!
