Wael will hopefully give a good budget and we will have to do some fairly quick negotiating due to the season starting earlier, due to the World Cup. I really hope this is a true turning point and we can even push on in league 1, look how Luton have done. We should be able to do the same but the stadium is what would hold us back. We need that and so very much Yes, will need to be out of the starting blocks for signings. Although JB did get some of then done early doors last time, so fingers crossed that he's been planning ahead and putting feelers out (or whatever they do). I had wondered why our season starts early, as I didn't think that the lower leagues were having a break during the World Cup? I may well be wrong on that though! You know, i really am not just starting to believe but i now believe the our club is the place that will properly rehabilitate JB. I can’t imagine he has ever felt so much love and had so much attention. I guess the real proof is when we inevitably go into a losing streak as we know just how fickle us football fans can be. This is still a magical feeling but we now need to keep up this momentum and push on and not waste it, as we did after the DC successive promotions. We have a real chance of progression, yet again. I really hope that all concerned have learned their lessons from what happened previously and that we can see something really special happen in the coming seasons.

I managed to get into the ground whilst the ref had halted proceedings. Saw the last ten mins or so. Hadn’t been all season. So lucky to have witnessed the final moments of an incredible afternoon. Utmost respect to JB and his young team and congratulations to WaQ for taking a gamble and sticking by his manager. Just a shame the Screen Soccer boys were not present to film today’s game. Yes, agree that the loss of screen soccer was a big mistake. I only wish the Gorringe (sp) could maybe ask them back but that is not going to happen. They would have made a great video from this. Come on KP, give credit where credit’s due. Some of the output of our Media Dept. has been excellent over the past few days. Not sure screen soccer would have been able to equal it. Whatever, the current team have produced some wonderful stuff. Not sure why TG would bring in others when our own are producing some quality stuff. Great few days btw! UTG!

But i am talking about filming the entire match warehamgas. I agree that content has been really good but i bet the club would make a fair few quid from selling videos of the full match. I have loads that were filmed by screen soccer, a fair few had to be digitised from tape to DVD and then to hard drive in a format that suits my set up

I absolutely loved DC and always will - I do think that the club is operating on a much more professional level now (apparently it was quite often chaotic behind the scenes in those days), and it's unfortunate for Darrell that that was the environment he had to operate in at the time. It seems that JB has demanded very high standards in every department of the club, and Wael was brave enough to back him - it can only bode well for our future. Having been involved in the game at the top level, JB is aware of what the benchmarks need to be. I don't think that journeymen or wasters will be getting across the dressing room threshold anytime soon. UTG

I'd add that the realisation he is responsible for the careers of some very good young players and can influence their development might just impact on his own behaviour.

Screen Soccer would have had 3 camera coverage, the entire game unedited and of course their superb insight and commentary due to their lifelong support of the club. A massive and historical game has not been recorded and archived as it should have been. As it was, just one camera and voice over. Such a short sighted decision by Gorringe.

You may be right but I guess, just tbf, we'll need to wait and see what they come out with. UTG! ps. But if they did produce a version of the match in some hard form then I would buy it just like all the other big occasions.👍

Given that we now use iFollow, not sure if EFL ruling, would we be allowed another filming service selling coverage?

Great Post young man - Watching Gas live makes it easier to buy into the astonishing progress made over the last six months - Certainly we will be challenging next season with a focused JB at the helm Na Zdrowie!

JB has now got a 40.3 % win rate which is a notable benchmark with many managers, lots don't make that mark.
BRFC managers with a 40 % win rate include Coughlan, Clarke, Ward, Williams, Dodgin Sr, Tann & Hall.
Only 7 previous managers in our history before JB have got this rare benchmark.
The top 11 significant notable managers in the English game are: Stats are of their overall career or so far. 1..Jose Mourinho - Games 1,048 = 62.98 % win rate. 2..Alex Ferguson - Games 2,155 = 58.1 % win rate. 3..Bob Paisley - Games 535 = 57.57 % win rate. 4..Kenny Dalgleish - Games 673 = 54.2 % win rate. 5..Arsene Wenger - Games 1,702 = 54.0 % win rate. 6..Jurgen Klopp - Games 966 = 53.8 % win rate. 7..Matt Busby - Games 1,151 = 50.3 % win rate. 8..Alf Ramsey - Games 510 = 50.2 % win rate. 9..Bobby Robson - Games 1,446 = 49.65 % win rate. 10..Bill Shankley - Games 1,190 = 49.24 % win rate. 11..Brian Clough - Games 1,453 = 46.5 % win rate.
Many other managers hold better win rates way to many to mention. Some are: Fagin, Benitez, Souness, Nicholson, Ancelotti, Conte, Tuchel, Graham, Chapman, Revie.

Just to add , the screen soccer guys had to go through the skips, to retrieve their kit. It really was an awful way to treat them, i can only think that the powers that be maybe thought they had some kind of allegiance with the SC or with those who allegedly worked behind Wael’s back. There was no need to chuck equipment away and arrangements could have been made

Given the lack of resources available to Screen Soccer, I would say that their output was excellent!
Their commentary over the years has made the hairs stand up on the back of my neck, and adds considerably to the experience of watching a football game back.
