Dec 16th for allegedly grabbing his wife by the throat, throwing her to the floor, and kicking her in the face.

President Wael al-Qadi said the club had "in no way meant to belittle charges of domestic abuse" and "we stand firmly against any form of violence". He said any club employees who are convicted of such offences "will be dismissed immediately" and said he understood concerns that had been raised by supporters.

There is a case management meeting on 17 Nov, I believe for the domestic. If memory serves, that's when a plea is requested (will be 'not guilty' I guess)?

The domestic violence trial will be heard in Wandsworth County Court on December 16th, Wimbledon Magistrates Court referred it to the higher court on July 26th. His appearance in Wandsworth may of course be by video link subject to the verdict of the Sheffield trial.

Interesting as magistrates can only give a maximum of 6 months inside so , by moving it to a higher court is this because of a clever brief , who thinks he can get it dismissed or because rhe magistrates court feel they can’t give a big enough sentence ? My guess is that they CPS are now truly fed up of him not getting any punishments and are going out, full guns blazing, to nab him , as they did a guy in Bristol, 2 years ago. He kept having people not turn up as witnesses and manipulated the system one too many times, the CPS and serious crimes nabbed him in the end, got 8 years initially and looking at many more cases,in that time. Personally i think the CPS will be going all out to serve B***** some justice and not before time. that his wife is not pressing charges goes to show his threat level, as i see it.

We should all care! The result impacts, whichever side of the fence you're on.

I care that the person appointed to lead the club, which includes setting the tone, has served time for violence and currently has two further cases outstanding, and has previously been banned from football. Plus, he regularly spouts embarrassing and unpleasant nonsense when asked to comment in his role as manager of Bristol Rovers. There are countless other people they could have chosen: they thought that he was the most suitable, brushed off his latest arrest as irrelevant, and continue to endorse him.
Plus, he’s not at all competent in ‘putting points on the board’ so even if that were all that matters (in a dystopian world), he’s still unsuitable and his presence in the club is a bad thing.
It shouldn’t be down to the criminal justice system to enlighten us on that.

I've done lots of googling too, as I hadn't seen anything about it being referred to Wandsworth. Still can't find any mention of it. Would appreciate a link if bondi can supply one?

Lots of reports in media about domestic argybargy cases get timed out. After six months pass the charges just melt away by law and can no longer go into court.
So Joey’s main residence is London then? When not in Bristol it’s London he goes home to?

And you are 100% certain Wael follows through are you? You are 100% certain courts produce a clear cut verdict? That’s not always the case is it. So a scenario where court doesn’t come to clear view either way “B***** Out” Brigade claim though its more than enough, Wael has to follow through, B***** fan boys admit some of the details emerged not good, but not strong enough reason for a sacking. And Wael does… nothing. Not a peep out of him. Perfectly possible. Where does that leave us? Exactly where we are now. Absolutely nothing may change from the court appearances. We can easily end up where we are today. Admittedly the defeat at home to Northampton was another shambles, but the win over Vale and feisty draw at Forest Green more than enough to keep him in the job. I am painting a perfectly possible scenario. There is something odd here at Rovers at the moment. Maybe like Garner knew it was over several games before his last game, maybe B***** knows too, and the silent board are in fact recruiting. Or maybe a take over is being lined up. Something is just not adding up.

Something is just not adding up. Of course we can't be 100% sure that Wael is as good as his word. He might stick with B***** and that will, of course, further divide the support base. Agree with your last comment. Nothing has added up since the utterly bizarre appointment in February. When we clear of the relegation zone in League 1. I hope that Bath is right and it boils down to Wael having some kind of infatuation with the 'celebrity' figure of B*****. What other alternatives are there? 1. Wael genuinely believes that B***** is the right man to rebuild the squad and get us promoted (cue his only remaining cheerleader), or 2. B***** has some kind of financial interest and has a degree of control at Bristol Rovers. (I have absolutely know evidence to support that). But what else is there? Why is he still here?
