In fairness to trymer I think he is basically saying it better done here than at games, at least that’s how I read it. I’ve had to watch, from the east terrace because I messed up on tickets and the abuse from there, to both manager and players was nothing short of toxic. I was probably a bit too young to remember any abuse at Eastville so am surprised at the stories of abuse but I’ve long realised that it’s very easy to get nostalgic over our real home. I only have good memories of it yet the stats don’t lie. We were in bad shape in our last years there Yes that's exactly what I meant KP and when I said internet I probably should have said forum, I certainly don't think that people should go on players Twitter etc and abuse them or their relatives as Coughlans daughter was abused. There was abuse of players at Eastville and I remember coming back from Fulham on a football special a player was punched. I thought you probably meant that anyway.

I would rather see the abuse stay on the internet than hear it at the match. Some Rovers supporters have always abused strikers,I remember Steve White and Graham Withey getting terrible abuse,I think that Robin Stubbs did too ? but they all scored goals as did Matty Taylor who was often abused. I don't shout abuse at Rovers players but Blissett nearly made me break that rule. Neil Slatter used to get dog's abuse from the north enclosure as well. If you can't say something one to one to someone's face, then to do it online or from the safety of a large group, I think is pretty cowardly.

A striker that couldn’t strike a match and frankly JCH can say what he likes but my opinion will not be swayed nor will it be bullied out of me, Nichols is an absolute disgrace and pathetic fraud. Worse than that he is causing gas supporters to turn on each other depending on the differences of opinion which seem to range from total s***e to the next person to change water into wine. On the matter of alcohol the recent antics on a certain social media platform were quite startling to say the least, perhaps internal discipline may explain today’s omission from the squad. Enough said, what a cracking result this afternoon, well done to Graham and the team. I really, really don't understand why anyone would say this of a Rovers player. I get why people don't think he should be playing , but 'disgrace and pathetic fraud' is way over the top. If you think he's a bad player, fair enough, but there is no need to resort to personal abuse.

What to do? Support him while he is playing for us is my opinion. To be fair to many Rovers fans they have done exactly this, but there are obviously a fair few who express their low opinion of him at matches, which is totally counter productive.

That was my point Politics. Not having it, not on a Rovers forum. Who is the new top man in Admin please? I'm reporting both of you. I would consider it a badge of honour to be banned in the name of the cause

When he came to the club he seems to be carrying some baggage from his previous role at Swansea and I was pretty sure I wasn't going to like the bloke. However, I thought he spoke sense and was courteous with it. I seem to be in a minority in liking the guy, but then, a lot of people like Boris Johnson, go figure (Ooooh, little bit of politics as Ben Elton used to say ) I'm kind of with Rex and Vaughan. Although I often referred to him as Crazy Steve (after the car-crash interview "we could be like the Wimbledon crazy gang of the 80's)... he always very courteous. He responded to all emails promptly. He never hinted at a Boardroom split. The statement on the website lacked class and that p*sses me off. Very odd that he and Starnes were effectively in the same role for well over a year and (as far as I can see) produced nothing. BTW - Polls would indicate that a lot more people like dislike Jeremy even more than Boris. That's how you figure it. UTG. That was my point

Who's Neeson in this scenario? Did the wookie ever say this? Did Admin ever say it? Did Mike Jay? Or Mike Gapes? What's the point? Or is this just more foreplay? Neeson plays the good guy whose teenage daughter and best friend are kidnapped by albanian people smugglers. Thing is although neeson is a lovely guy just like harry buckle he is also a retired field agent who unleashes hell on those nasty albanian socialist human traffickers to free his daughter. He looks like a harmless middle aged man but this is deceiving. I preferred him in schindlers list myself. There should be a comma in there somewhere. Whether you put it after 'guy' or 'buckle' could mean Chewy is in serious danger

How classy was it that he was opposed to GC taking the job (despite the upturn in results) so he could get his mate Cottrell in the door? How classy was it of Hamer that he was trying to broker the very club which he held a directorship at, to try and regain the executive chairmanship he had lost under the present owners, and be paid at both ends for doing so. 2 wrongs dont make a right but at least do it with 20/20 vision. What on earth has that got to do with 'class' ? In his opinion, Cotterill was the best man for the job - which actually I agreed with at the time- as it happens GC got the gig and is doing a fairly god job of it and I would imagine Hamer was pleased with that.

Whatever people think of him, he was always courteous to me. This just smacks of spite. "with immediate effect"? He was the Chairman, not some steward. Really poor and indicative of a club that has lost its sense of class. In GC's words - "not pretty". Really looking forward to Plymouth in round two, after brushing aside Bromley on tuesday. Sure it was match perfect for insomniac's but Rovers were on a hiding to nothing. All neutral fans were rooting for the underdogs, and a very narrow plastic pitch made football very difficult. Also our talisman striker was clearly not fully fit, nevertheless he got the goal, and despite playing with a handicap (TN) an excellent dogged display by the other nine players saw us home with a little flair! Blow away Plymouth and we have the anticipation of the third round draw : Will it be Liverpool, Man U, Tottenham, or another easy route through to round four with a trip to Ashton!
UTG Despite the Beeb's ham fisted, cringeworthy efforts in jazzing up the FA Cup draws-a few old farts and a black velvet bag full of balls was actually all the excitement needed- I still do love the draw for the third round and would love us to be in it. I enjoy the tension and anticipation of hoping we get one of the big boys before the inevitable disappointment of Peterborough away.

You have made it pretty clear that you were very fond of DC and whatever GC does, seemingly won't be quite enough for you. Call me old fashioned, but I much prefer the current managers policy of being in the top half of the table, winning cup games and signing strikers that score goals. Fair comment. I'll stop. Please don't, I like picking on you

So it's beef or nothing? I'll pass. With reference to the game, our genius of a manager proclaims that "We must do better" if we're to beat Plymouth. Did he lecture at Trinity College? You have made it pretty clear that you were very fond of DC and whatever GC does, seemingly won't be quite enough for you. They are surely not playing for that Irish twat. No team can play that badly accidentally ! You may need to look at the league tables and the fact that we are still in the cup. Actually thinking about it, this must be a wind up account, tell me you aren't real?

I was at Kettering, Hitchin , the Chesham game, the Barrow one- I'm actually struggling to remember all the others- and I was there last night. I enjoyed last nights game far more than any of the others I just mentioned. Should we get past Plymouth and get a glamour tie in the 3rd round, no one will be moaning about last nights performance. Not your flare was it??... Thrown from the home end- what a weird thing to do when you have a plastic pitch!

Bloody hell Bambi, the man apologised and you still want an argument Nope, I didn't want an argument in the first place, it was Chesh who steamed in, all guns blazing, trying to be clever, accusing someone else of being sarcastic, by using sarcasm. All I'm saying is that people need to relax a bit and not take everything so seriously. If Carlsberg did irony.

Apologies Bamber but I didn't know that you were having banter behind the scenes with Philton. I was reading it cold. No offence meant. Regards To be fair, even at face value, there was nothing in it. It certainly didn't justify getting all excited about. Can you imagine any message board anywhere surviving if that type of post was regarded as unacceptable? Bloody hell Bambi, the man apologised and you still want an argument

Good news everyone, we have a new Admin and also a possible back-up. Still working through a few things before names are announced but both are existing members with a solid record of postings. All existing mods have agreed to stay on so that is brilliant news too. More details to follow. Can I be the first to say, I don't like the new admin, the old one was so much better .
