JB says it how he sees it.He's never going to win a medal for diplomacy, especially speaking after a disappointing defeat.Don't forget,he often praises players when he thinks it's due. JB was just letting off abit of steam. It's his style. WAQ knows this and I'm sure he'll continue to back Joe regarding all matters. Wael will get the field of play sorted ,with publicly criticised players trying even harder.Don't think JB and his coaches won't be encouraging and helping the squad at the Quarters. For Rovers sake I hope you are right Bas. But in the event that things don’t go as you suggest I think it’s important we give our support to what is best for the club and not to the personalities involved. We had reports yesterday that Eddy Jennings has left and I’ve heard today that the club secretary Jack Tomlinson, who was only appointed a few months ago, also went last week. Behind the scenes at Rovers would make a good subject for a “fly on the wall” documentary but the flies keep flying away and the walls themselves don’t appear very secure. my interpretation of what JB said about the pitch was that he would have to change his coaching style and recruit different style players if the pitch didn’t get fixed. No mention of jacking the job in

Harrybuckle, thank you for that astounding information. I shall try again enclosing a copy of the share certificate.

The shares being discussed by Gasheadpirate are Preference shares which were issued to finance, along with a Barclays Mortgage, the Memorial Stadium. He is not discussing ordinary shares which we all know only have sentimental value. I subscribed to£2,000 worth of pref shares years ago. I got paid dividends for a short while, not that I was looking to take anything out of the club. I then received an annual letter from Nick Higgs saying they were suspending payment of dividends. I wasn’t too bothered! Following the Al Qadi takeover I wrote to the club asking for my prefs to be purchased but never received a response. I’ve mentally written the money off! I know pref shares have no voting rights so I was never expecting an invitation to the AGM but a set of accounts every year would have been nice instead of having to rely on the forum to communicate the state of the club finances. my only consolation is one which I hope never comes to pass - in the event of the club being wound up through insolvency the pref shareholders get paid out before the unsecured creditors If anyone can shed any light on this for me I would be most obliged !

Left footed centre half plays on left Right footed centre half plays on right Irrespective of where the tall man goes, that's how we play. Partington, for a tall man, should have done better for the goal.

Ollie gave away possession on a number of occasions with misplaced simple passes. Got caught in possession a few times too. He's not at the same level as before his injury but will improve. The poor ref should not have booked him for a superbly timed tackle. Steve's report is exactly as I saw it all.

- Better ground - Better training facilities - higher than us in the league - All accomplished in an area of the country with 4 PL teams within 50 ish miles so competition for fans ( and players) Who's MM? If UWE falls through we could be 15 years behind them never mind 5. Hmmm..... The owner has a poor reputation. He runs a number of call centres that " persuade " people to change their energy supplier. They have been found guilty of bullying tactics and been fined/ ordered to refund to customers around a million pounds. Will this business survive ? If it doesn't then neither will the football club.

Thanks for the report, Steve, always look forward to it. Boateng MoM for me with a very strong, skilful midfield contribution. We forget he's still a very young player and will be inconsistent but he will get better and better and could play a t a higher level. I, too, worry that lack of game time will see him go back to Palace and probably straight out again to another club. Would like to see him get a decent run in the side. I am a Gaffney fan and admire much of his play but also get frustrated that he seems to spend a lot of time out on the wings instead of in the middle. I wouldn't have marked Hartley as high. I thought he was poor in the air against the Bury strikers and he does lack pace. It's strange that he is such a threat in the opposing box but is not the dominant centre half that Darrell is looking for. We are simply not strong enough in our own box.

if things don't go so well I suspect he'll get pilloried for being a bit too 'nice' for football but I think he isn't. I think he's nice enough, and has charm, vision and faith in others. Like Brizzle, I'm still pinching myself. We're worth it, but worth doesn't always get its due. Onwards and upwards! The guy is a successful businessman, so there is a layer of ruthlessness somewhere. "Speak softly and carry a big stick" seems an appropriate adage.

The OS is reporting the saga looks like it's over as MT has finally agreed terms with the club although the contract has yet to be signed.

Bernard Hall is still around met him and spoke about his career especially the Man Utd FA cup tie at Old Trafford in 1964. Bernard Hall was a veery good keeper. I was A little boy that day at Old Trafford that day in a crowd of 55,722. We lost 4-1 but it would have been a lot worse dad it not been for Bernard. He fully deserved the tributes from Denis Law , George Best and Bobby Charlton after the game

Don't know about his quality although it looks good but this is exactly the right type of signing to be making IMO. Young but with over 150 games and a player on the way up with something to prove. With the likes of Macca, Mansell, Sinclair, Lee Brown and Mildy around him and a tight, well formed squad he could do very well esp with DCs guidance. Now we should give him time to settle in. UTG! Spot on. Really thrilled with this signing. He will reignite his career with us
